Mamonas Assassinas: O Filme (2023)
No, it's not a movie
It seems like it was made just to please the fans. He can't spend more than 2 minutes in a scene, except in scenes with music. It seems like the film always wants to keep your attention. I didn't feel like I was watching a film, but rather a compilation of several "important" moments in the band's life, everything happens very quickly, precisely because the film fails to develop. In addition to focusing too much on the band's relationships. The ending of the film is also not very good, I know they didn't want to show the accident, but I think it could have given a greater atmosphere at the end. I think that to introduce the band's history, the other documentaries "Mamonas Forever" and the Por Toda Minha Vida program work much better. The story of the Mamonas Assassinas deserves a real film.
The Mask (1994)
Ssssssmokin! A wonderful film!
A truly wonderful film! It's my favorite movie!
I think that when the screenwriters were writing The Mask (aka Stanley Ipkiss) lines, they didn't even imagine the potential that Jim Carrey would have when playing him. Well, I don't think there is an actor in the world who can play the character at this level.
In addition, the jokes and "surprises" in this film are also very good. The construction of all the characters and the twists, like when Peggy Brandt gives the Stanley Ipkiss Mask to Dorian Tyrell.
Without a doubt, my favorite scene is when Jim Carrey sings "Cuban Pete" with the cops. It's something really unexpected for anyone who sees the film for the first time.
Another incredible thing is Jim Carrey's makeup as The Mask. It's spectacular, and when I was younger, I couldn't recognize it and thought it was another actor playing The Mask.
Not to mention the incredible catchphrases that really impacted me. Like "Ssssmokin!" or "Somebody stop me!".
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004)
Im a Goofy Goober, ROCK!
Without a doubt, this is the best thing to ever come out of the SpongeBob SquarePants universe. The jokes are good, the characters are good, the story is good, everything about this film is wonderful. It really is the best SpongeBob SquarePants movie.
The development of the story, accompanied by countless incredible jokes, is very good! They really managed to do something new, without disappointing fans of the cartoon. When SpongeBob and Patrick are on that "road" with monsters and bizarre creatures, but they only dance and sing that they are men.
The film's songs are also great, especially the one I mentioned, "Now That We're Men", a song that really impacted me. It manages to stick in your head, but in a good way, as the song is actually really good.
Plus the best movie ending I've ever seen, with the performance of "I'm a Goofy Goober, Rock" and SpongeBob freeing everyone from their helmets with the "magic of rock".
