Goosebumps (2023)
Not Our Goosebumps
It's fun but gets more and more predictable each time. It's in a way pathetic, this isn't even Goosebumps anymore and just a weird love story, like, what? It's got a compelling story, sure, it's horror and everything but really at the end.. it's not.. it's just some kind of weird thriller love story completely dissociating from classic goosebumps while having another stereotypical gay character, not that i have a problem with them, but they are all the same and never really different at all when it comes to LGBTQ being on TV. I loved goosebumps, I read the books when I was younger, enjoyed the 90s show, hell, even the recent movies did it better but this.. this isn't Goosebumps.
Donnie Darko (2001)
It was a beautiful movie.. BEAUTIFUL
This movie is the literal definition of "psychological thriller" the acting down to the directing, script. This movie is a literal masterpiece of a film. It's bizarre, abstract, and nonetheless incredible. This movie was thrilling it had an amazing soundtrack. At the end there truly is no proper ending and which the millions of theories out there I guess you could say are canon. It's truly how you interpret it and it is canon, there really is no ending and it has such a diverse story, something truly incredible we haven't seen for a while. It's truly a great recommended movie to keep coming back to on special occasions.
Pixels (2015)
Whats with the bad reviews?
Personally I really love this movie and especially watching it again and again as I aged where I understand new stuff I didn't get. Sure the movie may not be oscar worthy and stuff, but it's still an incredible movie with fun and awesome cameos. Sure the story may not be rhe greatest and stuff but does that really mean you should complain? It's not really about that and it's mostly for people at a young age and those who played these games when they we were younger. It's extremely nostalgic and the cameos are amazing. I really liked the sound/music choices and a nice editing style that really does fit. Though this movie could just be like the FNAF movie, its more for those who played the games and understand the cameos and get the nostalgia its suppose to bring and not for those who go in the theatre blind.
Emesis Blue (2023)
An Actual Good Horror Movie And Its Genius
This movie is honestly outstanding, its incredible and can build suspense so easily it just shocks me. It even proves that SFM movies can be really good and jesus this was frightening to the point I had to pause at some point and take a break which is especially hard with how bad movies are nowadays because they dont take risks and stick to common unoriginal concepts so investors can get their money but here they spent so much time and effort with a huge risk of a concept that could've been good or bad, or executed good or bad and man did it come out as a full fledged full on masterpiece. Would recommend.
Reverse: 1999 (2023)
It's mid-ish
My Opinion On The Story/VA:
Honestly by far the story is captivating and the voice actresses and actors are talented. It does seem like a genuine game that feels like something new as it takes the overused concept of timetravel and puts its own spin on it like Summertime Rendering. It had pretty great voice actors who are no doubt clearly doing their best and honestly that has to be the best part of this game which if you're not a fan of dialogue, it has a lot
Gameplay:
The gameplay is the same to most gacha games (Konosuba: FD, Slime: Isekai)
but it truly puts its own spin on it, not the biggest spin but definitely not the smallest either. I think the game is alright in my book.
The short little cutscenes that don't even switch out from the gameplay are amazing too, superhard to explain but its such a unique detail I think has to be noticed
Illustrations:
I think the cutscenes and illustrations are amazing. I genuinely don't see anything that sexualizes women or men and its a fun little game with a very captivating story
For gacha games this truly is impressive.
Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre (2023)
What's with the negativity?
I don't exactly understand the negativity this show is getting, I don't know, the first one had somewhat crappy animation too but I assume it's just the animation style that is adapted with Junji Ito as we have seen this previously before. It's a really good author. I understand a lot of people are writing bad reviews for it ending as soon as things get interesting but thats literally the point. Most of these are about Junji Ito's short stories were they get you addicted and dragged into the story and ending it off leaving suspense and these lingering feelings of curiosity to allow the fanbase to start theorizing and overall enjoy what they saw.. he has a lot better stories that. I really did enjoy it, Ito has an abstract mindset which is something to really he appreciated. If you don't like it, that's okay, but just understand what he was going for instead of leaving these complaints that he didn't do what he wanted you all to do. Though the stories are great, there are definitely animation and editing issues.. either way, its better on paper and original and great material as always by Junji Ito.
Ore ga ojô-sama gakkô ni 'shomin sample' toshite gettsu sareta ken (2015)
It was new and original
It was a new story, something fresh, not following the genre of isekai or having this perfect waifu, it really was something new and refreshing. I truly did enjoy it and it was funny, the characters we're really well developed, the story as well, and it was really a good plot with a good execution. It really was incredible to watch as since it was an original idea you just never know whats gonna happen next and I absolutely loved how unpredictable it was then most animes being so unoriginal and so damn predictable. It was something sweet, hell, as a foreigner myself I took the show as a somewhat compliment how everywhere these cultures are appreciated.
Also.. on a very unrelated note, this will surely get the parents guide nudity to a moderate or severe and it was never mentioned there for some reason but in the last episode a female swordsman had her chest exposed.
Kaminaki Sekai no Kamisama Katsudou (2023)
Horrible in every way and it is genius
Horrible CGI, Horrible Effects, Horrible Characters
You may say, Im stupid, whats the point of calling it a good show
this show is a literal shitpost of an anime where if you put a bunch of isekai anime creators (re:zero, konosuba, overlord, etc) and gave them a bunch of drugs and created this. It's basically a dumb comedy anime which is suppose to be horrible on purpose which adds to the comedic effect and that's what makes it so good, they make everything bad yet keep a nice story and plotline which to me is just genius and no matter what serious scenario happens.. it always gets me laughing so loud when I see a horrible edited and made part simply on purpose.
Trust me, it is not convincing at first but the more you watch the more you'll get attached into thinking "what are they gonna do next?" or "what are the writers thinking of doing now?"
a horrible shitpost parody of the isekai genre and it is amazing. 10/10.
Kono subarashii sekai ni shukufuku o! (2016)
perfect bingeworthy anime
Honestly i never really thought this was for me.. it was just another anime until I gave it a try, it helped me through my rough times and really made me laugh. It was amazing and as everyone has their own opinions, for me, this was the perfect anime. It was simply outstanding and I know those who are thinking of giving it a try, trust me, I regret not trying it out the moment I saw it. It truly became my perfect anime and it might also become yours. For some, it may not make you laugh out loud.. but trust me, it will make you laugh. It has incredible adventures between a group of dummies who will always make you laugh.
