Man vs Bee (2022)
Save yourself and avoid watching
The whole series, I laughed only one time.
The character is literally unbelievable.
You would expect much more from "Mr. Bean".
Apart from it being incredibly unfunny, most of it doesn't even make sense and is just too much.
There is a limit to how stupid a person could be and for it to feel genuine and the character exceeds it by far on one hand, but is also smart on the other.
And it doesn't matter how psychotic the character is, burning a house down to kill a bee with a flamethrower, doesn't make sense.
And the ending is the worst part. He is in jail for what he had done and hears the thieves he accidentally caught talking on how everything was an insurance scam and he calls the police officer to tell him about it and gets a reward for saving the insurance company a lot of money.
These thieves also had to identify the house owner and say that he was the one to hire them.
Now... why did not do themselves already? Why did they need someone else, if they were so cooperative?
This series also gives you the feeling as if it was a feature film they were unable to sell, as it was so bad and Netflix said "ok, just edit it as series and we'll take it."
Sorry for the badly written review. I just wanted to prevent you from doing the same mistake I did.
Sing Street (2016)
Nice movie, but starts poorly
In the beginning of the film, the protagonist (I cannot remember his name at the moment) cannot sing, cannot play and doesn't really have any talent.
He sings a cover of Duran Duran and it sounds awful (out of tune and etc.). His brother tells him he should be original and suddenly from that moment on, he is a great singer.
The thing is that the way he was in the beginning wasn't actually important for the actual story and if his character would have been slightly different and more cohesive, it would have made the movie a whole lot better.
Having said that, it has a great soundtrack and I believe that if it was an actual band, it would have probably been successful.
Black Mirror: Hang the DJ (2017)
Not really black mirror material
I loved this story, but in the end this is not a black mirror at all.
Lucifer: Bloody Celestial Karaoke Jam (2021)
Find something else to do for an hour
This is the worst episode of Lucifer by far.
If you do decide to watch it, please do yourself a favor and skip each song. You will have a 15 minutes episode and save yourself from committing suicide and becoming a case in the series.
Glow Up: Britain's Next Make-Up Star (2019)
A low budget Face Off
This fact make this show a whole lot less interesting 😕
Karigurashi no Arietti (2010)
Disappointing
I love ghibli's movies. I never get my eyes off the screen and take no pause during their films.
However in this one I found myself playing on the phone while watching, I wasn't at all engaged and took a lot of pauses.
Overall I couldn't even find the story. There is almost no internal conflict and if there was, then it was either hidden, quickly resolved or just weak.
It's the only bad one I have seen by this studio and hopefully it will stay this way.
Wizards (2020)
Badly written. One cliche after another
I really loved troll hunters, then 3 below was not as good, but still ok. This series is just trying to ride a wave that is not there anymore.
I believe that a new concept would have been executed much better
The Polar Express (2004)
A waste of time
This is not more than a bunch of cliches bundled up Into a film without a story.
The animation tries to mimic real life but is quite lifeless.
What Did Jack Do? (2017)
People that gave this a 10, who are you?
It seems to me as lynch wanted to see how many people would watch this and love only because you have to love something he made.
If it would have been any other director, you would have never heard of its existence.
Do something better with your 17 minutes
Scorpion: Monkey See, Monkey Poo (2017)
Never stops to amaze me
I'm still not sure why am I still watching this.
For a series about genius guys, they are only half smart. Most of the times their ideas are not more than logical.
But this episode crossed some lines. I was ok with them using a common monkey, as a rare one in the fake country of Rhondon, but the ending with the fruits and the spiders was just too much.
Having a tarantula as a super deadly spider and pitaya (a cacti fruit) as a bitter tree fruit, showed the lack of their imagination.
And I did not even want to get to the hollow tree part.
Had to write something after watching this episode
