Scam 2003 - The Telgi Story (2023)
Great Drama
**Review of Scam 2003: The Telgi Story**
Scam 2003: The Telgi Story is a Hindi-language crime drama web series that tells the story of Abdul Karim Telgi, the mastermind behind one of the biggest stamp paper scams in Indian history. The series is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and stars Gagan Dev Riar, Mukesh Tiwari, Sana Amin Sheikh, Bharat Jadhav, and Shaad Randhawa.
The series is a spiritual successor to the critically acclaimed Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, but it has its own unique identity. Scam 2003 is a darker and more morally complex series than its predecessor. It is a story about greed, ambition, and the corrupting influence of power.
Gagan Dev Riar gives a tour-de-force performance as Abdul Karim Telgi. He captures the full range of Telgi's personality, from his humble beginnings as a petty thief to his rise to the top of the criminal underworld. Riar is ably supported by a talented cast, including Mukesh Tiwari, Sana Amin Sheikh, Bharat Jadhav, and Shaad Randhawa.
Tushar Hiranandani's direction is superb. He creates a dark and gritty atmosphere that is perfect for the story he is telling. Hiranandani also does a great job of balancing the different elements of the series, such as the crime thriller, the character drama, and the social commentary.
The writing on the series is also top-notch. The scripts are well-crafted and the dialogue is sharp. The writers do a great job of explaining the complex details of the scam in a way that is both informative and engaging.
Scam 2003 is a well-made and thought-provoking crime drama. It is a must-watch for fans of the genre.

**Would I recommend Scam 2003 to others?**
Yes, I would definitely recommend Scam 2003 to others. It is a well-made and thought-provoking crime drama with excellent performances and writing. However, I would caution viewers that the series can be quite dark and depressing at times.
**Additional thoughts:**

* The series is a reminder that even the most ordinary people can be capable of great evil.

Scoop (2023)
Great Scoop
The series stars Karishma Tanna as Jagruti Pathak, a senior crime reporter who is investigating Dey's murder. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub stars as Imran Siddiqui, the editor-in-chief of Jagruti's newspaper. The cast also includes Prosenjit Chatterjee, Harman Baweja, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Inayat Sood, Deven Bhojani, and Shikha Talsania.
Scoop is a must-watch for fans of crime dramas and Indian cinema. The series is well-made, well-acted, and well-written. It is also a timely and important series that explores the dangers of journalism and the corruption that exists in the media and the government.
Karishma Tanna gives a career-defining performance as Jagruti Pathak. She is both vulnerable and strong, and she perfectly captures the determination and passion of a journalist who is fighting for the truth. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub is also excellent as Imran Siddiqui. He is a complex and nuanced character, and Ayyub brings him to life with great skill.
The supporting cast is also excellent. Prosenjit Chatterjee is chilling as the corrupt politician who is behind Dey's murder. Harman Baweja is convincing as the idealistic young journalist who is helping Jagruti with her investigation. Tannishtha Chatterjee is powerful as the editor who is trying to protect Jagruti from the dangers of her job.
The series is also well-directed by Hansal Mehta. Mehta creates a dark and atmospheric world, and he perfectly captures the tension and suspense of the story. The series is also well-written by Jigna Vora. The dialogue is sharp and the characters are well-developed.
Scoop is a timely and important series that explores the dangers of journalism and the corruption that exists in the media and the government. It is also a well-made and well-acted crime drama that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Jaane Jaan (2023)
Awesome thriller
Jaane Jaan is a superb piece of thriller which is very well set by minimum required characters and not at all overloaded with unnecessary scenes.
Its a very good example of great story, well chosen actors, and well executed plot.
Kareena Kapoor gives her usual best shot. Jaideep Ahlawat does what he does best - great acting skills this man from ' PatalLok' if you remember has!! Vijay Verma is also good as the officer.
The logic in the story is the soul of this movie and its very well thought and put together. At the start, the story seems very normal and basic but as the times goes on, you seem to be lost in the logic and suddenly the story becomes extraordinary!!
Jawan (2023)
Not being a Shahrukh Fan, I still loves it!!
Being not a Shahrukh fan I still loved the movie!! The action, story, actors, everything is just awesome about this movie. Shahrukh khan sets another milestone with this one. His age does not reflect at all in his character.
Vijay Setupathi does total justice to his role. Nayanthara is a true beauty and shines in her role.
About the story, Personally I think if something like Jawan happens in real life, our country would be a better place to survive, the story is well executed by the director.
More missions pertaining to other girls would have been best to be seen in action and I sense there would be a sequel coming up with that thought!!
The songs could have been avoided to reduce the length but its bollywood so we cant help it!!
Its a must watch definately!!
Kaalkoot (2023)
Overhyped
The series is based on the acid attack on a girl and the investigation to find the culprit. Other than performances of characters the investigation seems very loose.
I was surprises by the great rating of 8 and watched this series but ended up realizing that it was faul. I did not find it worth an 8 rating show.
Vijay Verma, Gipal Dutt and Yashpal Sharma have done justic to their roles. The dialogues of characters is also OK and I would say not too great for a thriller series.
Shweta Tripathi is great as usual and her acting skills should have been utlized more as some other character rather than victim.
Kohrra (2023)
Waste of time
The web series is just waste of time. Barun Sobti is a great actor but wasted. The characters performance is also below mark and the story is also quite common not at all appealing and categorized as thriller.
It could be easily wrapped in 3 to 4 episodes. Police officers personal life scenes were unnecessary and too loose with no connection to the actual story and seemed to have added just to increase the length of the series.
After certain time you realize who could be killer and motive. The use of beep words seem unneccessary and redundant in several scenes and dialogues of this series are also not appealing. In short i did not find anything good in this 6 episode series.
Taali (2023)
Inspiring storyline
Excellent and inspiring story and best decision to choose Sushmita Sen to play the lead role. She does true justice to the role and adds her soul to every bit of it. It was good to see even though the topic was strong the director did not stretch the series and added only what was required to it.
The series is crisp and gives a strong message to society to come out of the traditional mindset and respect every type of human being. The efforts by ShreeGauri Sawant in real are exceptional and the recognition given to the Transgender community over the past few years speaks a lot about it.
Sushmita Sen deserves a National award for this role and the makeup man of this series too deserves recognition as the makeup in every scene is consistent and up to the mark!
Gadar 2 (2023)
Overly Hyped
I was in two minds to watch this movie as I sensed it might be hyped. I was sure it would be on OTT by 3 months but I also believed movies like these are good to be watched in theatres rather than on small screen; so I gave it a chance.
With no surprise I was sure within the first half an hour of the movie that it was quite overly hyped - the story and acting was par poor. If you are Sunny Deol fan - then you wont regret watching it. Otherwise this movie does not have anything new. Expected storyline, expected stunts, expected shor sharaba - but that what its meant to be I guess.
The best scene of the movie was the hand pump scene is what I feel - otherwise everything was usual. I also liked the movie does not talk about hatred of Pakistan but they kept it balanced. Even in Pakistan or any other foreign country the Pakistanis can watch this kind of drama.
Utkarsh Sharma has done justice to the role while his lady love is just shown as a doll - no acting secrets revealed.
Well, I wasnt hoping much out of it but just a few laughs and whistles for Sunny Deol - the man is awesome at 67. Amisha Patel with so much makeup still looks old and very small role fits for her - it was good that they did no stretch it unnecessarily.
Keeping the two old songs was wise by the team and we wish the Main Nikla song was kept at the end so audience could enjoy its beats. But thats fine "To be continued" still created spark amongst the audience!!
Trial by Fire (2023)
Amazing cinema
Heart touching story with great performances. The transition between years is smooth and great thought given to each transition which maintains the flow of events.
A story that conveys a strong message of never give up. Outstanding performance by the lead role Krishnamoorthys. And salute to all the real life people who chose to fight with the system despite knowing they might get nothing out of it.
Patience for over 24 years is a true courage and something to learn for everyone.
The transition in theoters we see in today's times is definately the result of the struggle shown in this series by the families suffered from the tragedy.
Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side (2020)
AWESOME!!
Asur 1 and 2 both are fabulous series. Whether you are not, it will make you Arshad Warsi fan!
The plot of both series is fresh and clean. The way technology is showm is truly remarkable.
The ending which marks the start of another series is also well thought. All characters haven don justice to their roles.
The way each episode reveals years back story and them shows present day ia shown quite smoothly. The director has done wonderful job in taking concept into camera so well tbat you dont feel lost even for a second. The series of murders and storytelling is done im a fantastic manner.
10/10 for this series.
Dahaad (2023)
The story and plot is amazing but the action, direction fails at many places. The story could have been completed in 5 to 6 episodes. Unnecesary 8 episode long.
The story and plot is amazing but the action, direction fails at many places. The story could have been completed in 5 to 6 episodes. Unnecesary 8 episode long.
Sonakshi Sinha as Anjali Bhati the character had lot of scope to act better. But the acting is quite dull.
The other chatacters like SHO devilal seem wasted. Too many loop holes in investigation that differ how practically the crime cases are handled.
Initial cases like muslim boy and hindu girl love angle is a total waste of time with respect to the overall plot.
Too many scenes wasted like one of the police officer burning agarbattis so many time..the logic is still unknown.
