Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000)
hysterical
Curb Your Enthusiasm is my second favorite show. It is by far the funniest and most genius show being produced. With the Simpsons in decline CYE has taken hold as the best of comedy tv. Each episode is clever, funny, and smart. Larry David can find his way into trouble, no matter what the situation. Better than Seinfeld!
Wicked Games (1994)
I can't believe I paid only $8.99 for this
Ritter's Truth or Dare, A Critical Madness, is quotable, funny, gorey, and great, and Wicked Games doesn't compare. The gore is lacking, but it did make me laugh. The audio for Mike Stauber at the movie's conclusion made me pee my pants. My big question is "what is John Brace so busy doing that he couldn't be in this film?" I give this movie 8 out of 10 because in the very end of the "film" Ritter threw in "why don't you find yourself some good friends." I can't wait for my 80 minutes of joy while viewing Screaming for Sanity: Truth or Dare 3!
The Minus Man (1999)
One of a kind film
I just watched this movie on IFC, and I was very impressed. Owen Wilson does a fantastic job portraying this unique serial killer. He deserves credit as a good actor, well I'm not sure about that I forgot about Armageddon. And for once Garafalo does a fine job acting. Also, I would like to say that Dwight Yoakam should give up country music and focus on acting, because he is fantastic. Unlike most hollywood movies, Minus Man gives the audience something to think about and doesn't have the same old predictable ending. In no way is this a boring movie. I give Minus Man 8 out of 10.
Donnie Darko (2001)
An excellent movie
I just want to say how amazed I was that Drew Barrymore could make such a fantastic film, and the acting was excellent to boot. This movie is a must see. I would recommend this movie to anyone with a brain in their head.
Road to Perdition (2002)
An okay movie
This movie is very, very over-rated, but still is a movie worth seeing. No Oscars will be won by this movie. It is not a mob or gangster movie either. Road to Perdition is a drama about a father and son, pure and simple. The father just happens to be a hit man. But the movie is actually not an epic, which is a plus, running at about 2 hours made it enjoyable. If you don't feel like seeing garbage like MIB II, Croc Hunter, or Power Puff Girls, then see Perdition and you won't be disappointed. PS there is a good preview for Gangs of New York, which is a bonus.
Mob War (1989)
5 out of 10
I purchased the DVD of Mob War on Ebay for $2, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. If anyone else is going to watch this movie, know that the acting that you will see is soap opera quality. Other than poor acting across the board, this movie's story line is not that bad. Its more about a image consultant's work for a high profile mobster than anything else. I'd recommend watching the movie if you buy it cheap. I give it a 5 out of 10.
