It has come to a point where people are just making movies for the sake of making movies with no concern for quality...how could the filmmakers think this was a good script that deserved to get made? Answer ..they are clueless...devoid of talent...and should get as far away from filmmaking as possible. It seems everyone and their grandmother are making movies these days ..if you can call them movies....better characterization is mindless stories made by unevolved biological robots without a nano particle of originality in them. As you can from the reviews I am not alone in giving harsh criticism. But to end on a positive note the Filmmakers have managed to create a top notch pile of dung.

This film is challenging, which is exactly what we need. It's time people learn to think for themselves. From a lot of the negative reviews here, it's clear most people are conditioned to the Hollywood 3 act structure and regurgitated story lines.
Not everything has to make perfect sense. The world at large does not make sense. The cosmos does not makes sense. Childhood is over.
Kudos to the filmmakers for raising the bar of filmmaking.

Just finished binge watching the 2 seasons. Little Steven and a motley crew of Norwegian oddball characters scamming their way through Lillehammer- how can you go wrong with that. The dialog is a mix of Norwegian and English. Don't let subtitles scare you off. The characters are original, dialog out of this world and the setting totally cool. No pun intended. Steven van Zandt was born to play this part. There are subtle hints to the Sopranos and Bruce Springsteen. This show is not your run of the mill B.S American rehashed trite story lines. Its a Norwegian production, fresh, funny and just brilliant and totally addictive. If you are into travel this will inspire you to visit Norway.
Can't wait for season 3.

The Mayans run so fast they leave the story behind

Why shoot on HD (video) when you have a real budget. This movie, if ever there was one would have been so much more visually stunning had it been on film.
That being said, the main problem is that someone forgot to put a story in the script. I didn't learn one iota more about the Mayan culture, their decline and ultimate self-destruction than I would from the Chainsaw massacre series.
The cute comic relief in the film was sooo Hollywood...and so false...to the point of being ridiculous. I suppose Hollywood really believes that the entire world even the prehistoric one runs around doing Hi-fives and has intellectual conversations about erectile and fertility problems with their mother-in-laws.
To sum it up...run Lola run on steroids..50 minutes running in one direction and 50 minutes in the other direction.

I'm amazed that great actors like Chris Walken, Rod Steiger, and Chazz would fall for this lame script...I guess they had a mortgage payment coming up...do yourself a favor miss this one, read a book instead. You will thank me for it.
