Lead Role Needed a Singer

I'm a softee for romance movies like this one. I easily overlook any flaws as long as there is chemistry between the leads and the story draws me in. This movie could easily be a 7 or even an 8 if the singing wasn't so darn irritating. When I read Sophia's biography and saw that she released albums for Disney I was stunned. Her singing in this film was so shrill and breathy that I had to mentally tune it out and just focus on the storyline.

Could Have Been Much Better

This is a hard review to write because I don't want to disuss plot points and give spoilers. I liked all of the top 10 or 12 characters and actors portraying them. Possibly too many storylines to flesh all of them out adequately. I want to rate this movie an 8 but the various romances were each too tepid to rise about a 6. Maybe Covid precautions had something to do with the lack of kissing and heat?

No chemistry.

I love these types of romances. This one was hard to get through. No chemistry whatsover between the leads, serious overacting and the wilderness challenges were laughable.
