Yeonmo (2021)
Maybe Cast A taller Actress To Play The King
Is Korea lack of tall and board shoulder actress? I don't know what were they thinking picking Park Eub Bin to play the king. Her figure wasn't compliment a man feature at all, let alone a king. She didn't even try to speak and walk like a man it's laughable, seriously. Cringe and embarrassing. Like, everytime when she tries to act bold and brave, I can't help but to laugh.
The makeup artists weren't even tried to touch up her to look less feminine. I mean, who wouldn't guessed the king is a woman with that smooth skin and oval small face?
Also, the fact that she trying so hard to to hide her identity but proceed kissing in the castle pathway. Like, please make it make sense.
The abandoned house near the castle is another absurd story. The house literally located in a public place but nobody noticed the house at all, that it became Damyi place.
It irked me whenever the scenes where they talked privately and they wouldn't notice the other person that stands 3 feet away in open space to eavesdrop.
And the scenes where the villian or the king bodyguard trying to hide his identity whenever he doing his side job is so hillarious. Yes, let cover my mouth and let my obvious eyes exposed. I can tell it was him who tried to kill the king by looking at her eyes.
What with the prologue story line of her grandfather preparing for the soldiers? Like, get into the story already, damn. I was in episode 15 and the soldiers arrangement was still not yet exposed.
Some disturbing scenes where the killing-spree is normal during that era. Even killing childrens. Not even the king intervened and trying to stop the practice.
The drama is overstretch. I stopped watching after episode 15. It got less interesting due to some absurd story line and scenes. Some of the scenes are beyond your logic thinking. They are just there to be there.
Das Signal (2024)
Promising In The Beginning Then Went straight To The Ditch
I love how the first few minutes, the series managed to grab my attention up until the airport scene after they found out the airplane is crashed.
Let's go straight to things that bugging me in this series.
1. Who the hell is that creepy old woman stalking Charlie in the airport? The fact that she lured Charlie to her hut without actually accompanied the little girl along the route. What if Charlie got abducted in the middle of the road? Also, her hut is a mini NASA office! How does she get all those equipment? The fact she could hear the conversation between Paula and Charlie in the space is beyond me. Like, why is she eavesdrop? Also, why does she suddenly packing her stuff in the middle of the conversation with Sven? Where is she planning to go? To think she thought her bunker is a safe space is laughable because government would take millisecond to drop a bomb on her small hut and she'll be hiding in the Heaven.
2. Charlie. This girl is so annoying. She isn't acted her age. She is too smart and a little to bold. Escaping from an apartment to go to somewhere where she herself isn't sure either it is a safe place or not.
3. Sven and the FBI saga is illogical. They got hundreds chances to turn him in but no, let us help him. So funny.
4. Reiner. Whatever the writer trying to portray in his character isn't working. He got the file but government decided to keep him in the tent as an asset? Same goes to Sven and Charlie, suddenly they are government assets. But the billionaire killed Paula and hundreds of innocent people over information that could only conveyed verbally by Paula which can be twisted as false info if they want to. On another note, the fact that they got only one chance to see aliens coming to Earth but Reiner refuses to witness it for unclear reason.
5. Sven and Charlie go to the coordinate to witness the aliens themselves without any weapons. How sure are they the aliens aren't dangerous? And Sven just allow Charlie touching the voyager that just falls from the space? Hello, she read books about space and she knew things from space are highly hazardous. They needed to be inspected and sterilized before anyone could touch them.
6. The series as a whole is overstretched. They could just do a 1 hour movie about this series and I bet the rating would be better.
Jawan (2023)
Another Failure From SRK
A second Azad woke up from injuries, he called Vikram his father despite never met him since birth.
Hey let connect the dot by putting Suji character between SRK and the female lead. Cliche. What is this? We back to 90's film?
Useless scene where the female lead thrown into the jail just for a flashback to Vikram and his wife's past.
Who the hell lives in the middle of the forest? To think Vikram letting his wife staying alone in the small hut in the middle of the forest despite he is an army where his office located in the city.
Putting bland humours in between fight scenes. Im not sure if this is actually an action or some kind of Duplicate movie's genre. The direction of Jawan is just a mess.
The big guy didn't even moved by kicking but he disappeared after being pushed by using fire extinguisher? Make it make sense please.
The Good Bad Mother (2023)
The Ending Could Have Been Better
Despite the original idea of a mother rising her only son to bring justice of her husband murder, this is yet another typical overstretch Korean drama.
There are too many undeveloped and unnecessary scenes especially the singer. I thought he was going to bring something to the table. Perhaps he would falling in love with the mother and taking care of her but no. The character suddenly missing in the middle of the story and suddenly reappear for a few seconds just to return the food container to the mother.
When he lodges a report to the tribunal and met a charming lawyer, I thought the lawyer would help Kang Ho to fight for the justice but instead, his character just disappear with only one scene.
Those singing, eating, meeting scenes happen in the village in between are pointless.
Whatever happens to the loan shark who threatened Mijoo to pay all her debts. Yes, disappear.
Furthermore, there are some characters did not fit their role well. For example, the 2 assistant men of Mr Song Woo. Despite working for the most influential and terrifying man in Korea, they both possessed a very weak skill of fighting, spying, collecting and observing. Most of the time, they look clueless and dumb.
Sam-Shik is one of the most confusing character. You could not pinpoint either he is a bad or a good guy. At some scenes, you would have thought he will corporate with Mr. Oh and Mr Song to kill Kang Ho.
The scenes where the little girl falling in love with Kang Ho, her own father is so disturbing. In addition, the kids are not acting their age. They are too smart that you just do not feel any empathy for both of them when they are sad.
It took Mr Song threatening to kill his assistant man for Kang Ho to actually able to bring him to the court thus prosecute him. Yes, he did not use all those chances he had before being a crippled man to bring Mr Song to justice despite all the evidences are there, especially the audio of Mr Song and Mr Oh planning to kill Ms Hwang and her baby.
The final episode could have been better. There something about the ending that is not enough. When the mother standing up and applauding Kang Ho for successfully prosecuted her husband's murderers, I was expecting a longer solo scene between her and Kang Ho to make an impactful happy ending but no, the director decided to not wasting time on that and allocated more time on the next scene where they having dinner with the village people for useless conversations.
Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (2022)
Stopped Watching After The Magician Returns
It was really promising at start when the magician found little Lyle singing at the store. He then trained Lyle to sing and perform which at the end, Lyle had a stage fright. So, he was abandoned by the magician in the house.
The story really went downhill after that because every single scene doesn't make any sense, at all.
1. The boy having anxiety and panic attack disorder in public places but trusts the croc a second he met Lyle.
2. The croc brings the boy to the trash where he normally gets his food source. He trusted Lyle who feed him the dirty food. And the food tasted good? Laughable.
3. Suddenly Lyle is a good chef.
4. Don't let me start with the mom. Instead of calling the animal control authority (Whatever you call it), she decided to enter the house knowing a big croc lives rent-free in it.
5. Lyle character is inconsistent. He has emotion. Surely, he could think reasonably. But after terrifying meet up with the mom, he decided to taking a shower in the boy's bathtub like he doesn't care about what just happened.
5. The husband... Oh, just a weak character. He could just disappear after eating the grapes and no one cares.
6. The magician returns and without hesitation entering the house celebrating his reunion with Lyle. Also, in which earlier scene does they show the magician teaching Lyle the meet up gestures? Because suddenly, Lyle is a dancer.
I stopped watching after that because everything is so unintellectual. I know it is a for-kids movie but kids aren't dumb. Make a make-sense movies next time.
Curve (2015)
The Car Suddenly In The River
The movie is okay until Christian asking Mallory to tell her first making out experience. What is the point of that conversation?
How the hell is the car suddenly got into the stream?
Her leg stuck for days and suddenly she could run and hop the stairs. She could go for Marvels next superheroes movie casting.
She is literally in a room with a dangerous man but instead of directly shooting him from the back, she decided to yell at him to not touching the girl. Plain dumb.
I can't even pinpoint Christian's issue. Is he actually a sex maniac or a mentally disturbed man who went through childhood abuse or both?
Who are those dead men in the cabin? How did they get there?
Kærlighed for voksne (2022)
Unreasonable
1. Chris & Xenia making out on site. Don't they should be worried people will caught them having an affair know her boss has a wife?
2. What with the scenes the cop telling his daughter about the crime? Useless.
3. How a depressed man could have sex with someone who he about/supposed to kill? Laughable.
4. Leonara main motive to save the marriage is just nonsensical. What is she expect after Xenia died? The relationship will back to normal? It is obvious that Chris has no interest in her at all and she knew that. The relationship going to be cold and Chris will cheat on her with someone else (Who is young) again in the future.
5. Xenia is one dumb young woman. Falling into Chris persuasion whenever he said he never loved someone like her. Just cut it off, Chris! You just love her because she is young and pretty unlike your aging wife at home.
6. It is irritating whenever Chris and Leonara fight, they always mentioned their son. No, it's not about the son. It's about both of them who have hard time letting each other go (Leonara who is mentally disturbed and Chris who is just so clueless most of the time).
7. Those cops are useless.
8. All of the sudden, the old friend of Leonara sell her out when Chris actually trying to get her to meet and talk to Leonara.
9. The intention to get Leonara old friend to talk to her suddenly out of the storyline and out of nowhere, Chris looking for an answers of murder than happened centuries ago that was just a rumour.
10. Leonara is just as dumb as Xenia. Why would she told Chris that she killed her teenage boyfriend? She would have more advantage to use Chris if she just kept the secret to herself.
Quien a hierro mata (2019)
I don't Get It
His late brother, Sergio was a junkie who took drug from Padin for his own pleasure and ended up overdosed. To make Sergio feel better, Padin gave Mario heroin to be injected into Sergio. Then Sergio died.
Correct me if I'm wrong but that is my understanding.
In this case, Padin is not the wrong one. He was just gave what he supposed to give to make Sergio less in pain. But the one who injected the substance into Sergio was Mario himself.
Seem to me, Mario seeking revenge because of his own mistakes.
Moreover, Sergio and Padin was in a very good term.
Mario is a selfish person and in denial.
Beef (2023)
Promising At First 2 episodes Then Went Downhill
It wasn't really clear how Amy suddenly hooked up with Paul just by catfishing him on social media.
Who the hell would simply open the door without peek through the door especially when you are living in a big luxurious house?
Fumi saw Amy making out with Paul and did not actually addressing the issue? Instead just hinting Amy to understand George.
Isaac is one of the most annoying character. Nothing nice coming out his mouth. Simply swearing and cursing all the time it's just so irritating. He is so unbearable.
The final episode where Amy and Danny were lost in the middle of the valley is so unecessary.
Ginny & Georgia (2021)
Do Teenagers Always Horny 24/7?
The whole drama is full of teenagers making out with each other like the wild rabbits.
This should be considered as soft porn instead of comedy because there is nothing funny about it.
Those teenagers talk and act like brats.
The misogynistic is so loud. First they criticized Britney Spears, a second later they wearing Britney's for the Halloween. What is going on?
Not to mention the main character literally on pill at such a young age.
Don't let me mention about her mother who encourages her teenage daughter making out with men.
I feel bad for her little boy who starred in this not knowing this drama is all about sex.
