Adaptation. (2002)
Lovely & Amazing
17 May 2003
Adaptation is the greatest American film since American Beauty, and in some way, very much like him. Not all people can understand this film. Only people who are having the same conflicts that the main character, Charlie Kaufman (the stunning Nicolas Cage) is having. Then again, I think that there's a little Charlie (and a little Donald) in all of us. He is the by-product of our society. All the fears and doubts that today's society deals with, he suffers from. and unfortunately, not very well. Once again, Meryl Streep plays the middle-life-crisis aging woman with the same struggling emotions, like in every movie she has done in the past few years. On the other hand, Chris Cooper does a beautiful small part as the bizarre John Laroche, that changes obsessions like we change underwear, but has a unique charm, that can't be ignored. Adaptation is the best film of 2003 to date.

Fancy Dancing (2002)

A film for people who has insomnia
1 May 2003
I saw this movie at 3:00 AM, and as I watched it i realized that the only people who can enjoy it is those who have insomnia (or if you wake up in the middle of the night and can't sleep). It's so odd and bizarre, no plot or logic. It's like a weird dream with no meaning.

Asa (Jason Priestley) is trying to keep seeing his son after he and his wife got divorced, so he gets a job at an advertisement agency. The film has a few crazy songs and a dancing sequence at the end.

One and a half stars out of five.

Delicious

After watching the heavenly film The Big Lebowski, I realized that no matter how hard life is, there's always The Dude that makes our lives so simple. It's good knowin' he's out there. Takin' 'er easy for all us sinners. The Dude is some sort of a divine creature, a representative of god on earth. characters like Donny (aka shut the f*** up Donny)and Walter made me think that maybe life is not all about money, cars and clothes. It's about those little moments of happiness when you hit a strike or have an IN & OUT burger. Maybe that's what life is all about.

Conan is best
1 October 2002
This year's Emmy Awards was great because of one man. His name is Conan o'brien, and he is the funniest man on television. The rest of the show was okay, the winning of Friends was obvious. I'm so happy that Ray Romano finally won, he deserved it.
