Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024– )

Great series but frustrating ending
8 February 2024
I really enjoyed this series and thought it was great that with a relatively limited cast it felt like a huge production. It kept me hooked the entire way through, however, the ending was so frustrating! Some people might really enjoy how it ended but for me I was just such as let down of an ending after such an incredible build up. However, the case did a great job throughout. I laughed a lot, was on the edge of my seat at times and it didn't feel too predictable. The pacing worked well, it didn't feel too rushed and each episode kept me wanting more. If you're looking for something with a lot of action, humour and drama, this is the series for you!

A fun and entertaining couple of hours
7 February 2024
I really enjoyed this film and there was one moment in particular where I cried with laughter. It honestly brought me so much happiness. It's not a 'serious' film by any means but I loved the action, the twists and turns, the surprises, and let's not forget the cast. What a great cast it was. Everyone brought something different and it really worked! Matthew Vaughn is one of my favourite directors so naturally, I had to go and see this movie. I've also had Electric Energy on repeat since seeing the film and when it came on during one scene, I couldn't stop myself from dancing in my seat and was pleased to see others doing the same. Deffo recommend!

100 years celebrated by an amazing film!
7 February 2024
This film embodies all the best elements of Disney from over the years. I haven't seen a Disney film in years that evoked the emotion I felt watching this one. I loved picking out all the subtle nods to previous films and it was amazing to see my two year old nephews enjoy the film just as much as I did. The songs, especially 'This Wish' has that classic, magical feel to it, and it was great to see a truly evil villain. I don't understand the negativity this film has received so don't let those reviews put you off from watching, especially if you enjoy the classic films!! Ariana DeBose is INCREDIBLE as Asha and couldn't think of anyone better to voice her.

It wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best...
27 February 2023
Danielle Savre carried this film! The only actor who didn't make me want to cringe. Although, I wish they didn't focus on her chest so much. She plays a shark conservationist - that should be enough! Women in these kinds of films are never there for their brains; it always resorts to nudity.

It certainly wasn't the worst film I've ever seen but it absolutely wasn't the best.

Shark films are never done 'well', apart from Jaws, of course but then that's a classic and can never be beaten.

If you are wanting something to watch that doesn't require a lot of attention, this is the film for you. If you are wanting something a bit more intellectual, I suggest finding something else. Though this film did give me a good laugh so if you want cheering up, I guess this would do the trick!

The L Word: Generation Q: Locked Out (2022)
Season 3, Episode 5

What was that?
18 December 2022
I don't know what I've just watched but I wish I could turn back the clock and no bother.

Props to the actors for doing the best they can with what they've been given but this show is a hot mess. No interesting storylines, zero characters or relationships to root for, poor writing...I could go on.

I've not been excited for the episodes like like was in the first two seasons and I know a lot of people feel the same way. I think it's safe to say that I won't be watching the rest of the season. If this show is to get a season 4, it needs some serious changes (and Sepideh Moafi to come back)!!!!

Love, Classified (2022 TV Movie)
10/10
Wonderful cast and great storyline
5 December 2022
It's an easy watch but engaging and has a great cast attached, especially Arienne Mandi and Melora Hardin. Melora Hardin is so funny, you can tell it comes naturally to her and Arienne is a wonderful actress. I've only seen her in The L Word Gen Q but instantly was like, 'yep, she's going to go far'. Her acting is so natural and believable and seems to really put her heart and soul into the role. I love the storyline of Love, Classified and would definitely recommend anyone watching it. Of course, it has a happy ending for the lesbians! Which is, unfortunately, quite rare!! But there was no unnecessary drama which was much appreciated.

Black Bird (2022)

Absolutely fantastic!
5 December 2022
Superb cast, especially Sepideh Moafi who really blew me away. The writing is incredible and had me hooked from the very first line. Usually, when I watch tv shows based off a true story, I find myself getting quite frustrated if something isn't accurate or if it goes completely off course, but Black Bird was as accurate as it could be and I thoroughly enjoyed that. Would definitely recommend to anyone who hasn't watched this yet - in fact, that's just what I have been doing. Was great to see Taron Egerton in this role. The only other thing I have seen him in was Eddie the Eagle! And Sepideh Moafi, this role is world's away from her role in The L Word Gen Q and was great to see her in this kind of role.

The L Word: Generation Q: Quiz Show (2022)
Season 3, Episode 3

Blah. Not good.
5 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Lazy writing. Unnecessarily destroyed a great couple (Dani and Gigi) who I think are really needed at this moment in time, especially in terms of representation! Rushed, guest stars forced onto the audience to fill a Gigi/Bette shaped hole. I'm not a Tibette fan BUT it's clear what a lot of Gen Q fans want to see - Tibette and Gini! The whole episode was just blah. Unimaginative, too dramatic, lack luster, boring and rushed. I doubt I'll stick around for the rest of the season unless we see Gigi making a return. Would love to be a fly in the wall of the writer's room to see how they came up with this rubbish.
