Hide and Seek (2005)
Fanning and De Niro works there magic one more time!
I saw this movie late at night and I have to say I got shivers in my spine throughout the movie. Despite the fact that I am only ten years old and obviously seen a variety of horror flicks, I have to say this is my favourite one! Not that it's ultra-scary but it came dangerously close to being a true story.
The performance throughout this movie was incredibly realistic all thanks to Dakota Fanning she is an absolute stunning young actress and I truly felt that she was doing her performance for real. She done a fantastic role doing the traumatised looks and mysterious influences and I think she is the best young girl actress in the world and I hope to see her again in more movies. As for Robert De Niro, I am a massive fan of his and I thought he was the perfect choice for dad/Charlie! I mean, when things took a murderous turn in the movie I truly believed that he was doing it for real and made me hide under the sofa!
I quite liked the plot in the movie, despite it took a slow start for the movie to pick up, the end of the movie actually made up for it otherwise I would given this movie a low ranking! I thought that the writers still did a fantastic role producing the storyboard and the script and that is one of the best points about the movie.
So rent this movie, turn on your television but turn off the lights and hope you enjoy!
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
What a wonderful pirate movie for kids and adults
What a wonderful pirate movie! I loved every bit of it. This is a real treat for Disney fans. The performances was incredible and realistic, there are some superb actors and actresses in this movie, such as Johnny Depp, who plays the mighty yet charming Captain Jack Sparrow he will certainly blow the audience away with his action, humour and look!! Also the heroic and handsome Orlando Bloom, who plays Will Turner, he proves that he can shine no matter what with his personality and talents. As for Keira Knightley (who plays the beautiful governor's daughter in this movie)proved that she can play a grown up girl who is stuck in the 18th Century very well and probably her fans think so too. And Geoffrey Rush, who plays the evil and cunning Captain Barbossa, did very well and you can feel his emotions inside you and he can have you right at the edge of your seat. I think all of the actors and actresses did brilliantly in this movie and not to mention the makers of this movie, they have done an absolutely amazing job to produce such a enjoyable gripping pirate movie.
I loved the special effects in this movie - it made the movie more realistic than ever. Also I loved the idea of the plot, the mighty and charming Captain Jack Sparrow is back, this time the evil Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) stole Jack's ship, The Black Pearl. And later it attacks Port Royal and two pirates kidnapped the beautiful governor's daughter, Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) saw Elizabeth get kidnapped and in an attempt to rescue her he joined forces with Jack. But a cursed treasure doomed Barbossa and his band of cursed men to live as undead forever and Will dosen't know that...
This is a perfect pirate movie mixed with humour, horror, mystery, adventure, love and sword fighting action.
Littlest Pet Shop (1995)
Not that bad of a show.
Not that bad of a show, The show is very cartoonish and animative but could get a little boring sometimes. This show is aimed for kids aged 3-6 and not for children above because they might hate it. As three year olds they might love because it is a very enjoyable classic aimed for that age. As a teenager, this show isn't my favourite on Tiny Pop but it was still good. It follows the lives of a group of five miniature animals, each about the size of a rat. They live in a pet shop on Littlest Lane and have their own treehouse inside of the store. They go on all sorts of adventures together, sometimes involving other miniature animals. Give it a try.
Bratz (2002)
After Rock Angelz the Bratz are continuing on their teen rival magazine and has cool adventures
After the Bratz decided to do their own teen magazine and made their Bratz Rock Angelz band, the action is bigger and better. This show follows the adventures of Jade, Yasmin, Sasha, & Cloe as they launch issues of their Bratz Magazine. Burdine Maxwell, the evil editor of rival Your Thing magazine, tries to stop the Bratz girls from putting out the magazine. Burdine Maxell has two fashion interns Kirsty and Kaycee, (also know as the Tweewills because they are twins and they are identical.) not only they do jobs for Burdine, she sometimes sends them to spy on the Bratz and discover their secrets and stop them from running their teen rival magazine once and for all.The series was on 4kids Entertainment or on the CITV Channel.
The Simpsons Movie (2007)
The entertainment is bigger and better and its in the big screen.
The entertainment is bigger and better and its in the big screen. After 400 episodes the Simpsons are in their biggest and funniest movie yet. Green Day is performing on Lake Springfield, where they fail to engage the audience in talking about the environment. They are killed when the pollution in the lake eats away at their barge, causing it to sink. At the funeral, Grampa has a vision, but only Marge pays attention to it. Lisa and Colin, an Irish boy, hold a seminar entitled "An Irritating Truth", where they convince the town to clean up the lake by putting the same polluted water in their glasses. Meanwhile, Homer dares Bart to skateboard nude to Krusty Burger and back, but Bart is caught by Chief Wiggum. Ned Flanders comforts Bart after being humiliated, since Homer lets Bart get blamed for the incident and then adopts a pig. He keeps the pig's waste in an overflowing silo, which horrifies Marge, who tells Homer to dispose of it safely. While waiting at the dump, Homer decides on a quicker means of disposal and dumps the silo into the lake, polluting it severely and mutating a squirrel. Nearby, Flanders and Bart bond during a hike and discover the squirrel, and it is captured by the "EPA". Russ Cargill, head of the EPA, tells President Schwarzenegger, that Springfield is extremely polluted and the government must take drastic action. Under the President's orders, the EPA places Springfield in a giant glass dome, cutting off the town's supplies from the outside world.
The police discover Homer's silo in the lake, and an angry mob approaches the Simpsons' home, setting it on fire. The family escapes the dome through a sinkhole in Maggie's sandbox and flees to Alaska. Seeing the dome begin to crack and realising the people of Springfield will escape, Russ Cargill manipulates the President into ordering the town's destruction. In Alaska, the Simpsons see a television advertisement in which Tom Hanks promotes a new Grand Canyon, and Marge realises that they are planning to bomb Springfield. Marge and the kids decide to save the town, but Homer refuses to help the people that tried to kill him. His family abandons him and returns to rescue Springfield. After a visit with a mysterious Inuit shaman, Homer has a vision and reaches an epiphany: to save himself, his family, and Springfield and he returns. Meanwhile, Marge, Lisa, Maggie, and Bart are captured by Cargill and returned to Springfield. Cargill tells the people of Springfield that the town will be destroyed. A helicopter arrives and lowers a bomb. Meanwhile, Homer climbs the outside of the dome and descends knocking the escaping townspeople and bomb off the rope. However, he notices a motorcycle, grabs Bart, and cycles up the side of the dome. Bart throws the bomb through the hole, detonating it outside and shattering the dome. The town praises Homer, who rides off with Marge on the motorbike into the sunset. The film ends with everyone restoring Springfield, including the Simpsons' home, back to the way things were.
Go to the big screen cinema, forget yourself and be amazed by this movie.
Bratz (2007)
Enchanting gal movie
The girls are starring and styling in their very own movie. The computer animation has been turned in to real life this time. This time, The four best friends are about to start high school. Although nervous, they feel excited and confident that they will excel. Head Girl Meredith Baxter Dimly wants everyone to belong to a group (i.e., a clique) and goes about organising people. She doesn't like the independent spirit of the four girls, and plans to destroy their friendship. Jade does well in science club and designs great outfits. Cloe is an ace soccer player, and Sasha is soon recruited as a cheerleader. Yasmin's special talent is to sing; however she has terrible stage fright. She meets Dylan, who is deaf. She makes a crass remark, and she of all the friends has a bad beginning to high school. The friends begin to drift apart, as they are compelled to stay within their interest groups.
The film then moves forward two years, and the girls no longer see or speak much to each other. It's just what Meredith wants. Meredith is organising a talent show. She engineers it every year so that she can win, by hiring the least talented acts and throwing out any real competition. The fact that her adoring daddy is the principal enables Meredith to behave in such an appalling manner.
Yasmin begins to get to know Dylan, who is learning to "feel" music he can no longer hear. Cloe and Cameron really like each other, but Cameron is Meredith's boyfriend, and she always sabotages their meeting. One such occasion ends in the four girls managing to destroy a bust of the Head Teacher. However, a spell in detention has the opposite effect that Meredith desires; the girls become fast friends again and vow to stay together. Meredith prepares for a second "Sweet Sixteen Party" in a bid to secure her waning popularity. However it turns out badly for her. It is she who, in this movie, coins the phrase "Bratz!" As she falls into her swimming pool. Now all that is left is to win the talent show. But the Bratz have other ideas.....
A movie that makes you smile, so grab the popcorn, put on your p-jamies, grab a blanket and lay down on the sofa and watch it!
Bratz Rock Angelz (2005)
Great movie
The girls for the passion for fashion are back for there own ultimate teen movie. This time, Jade was hired as an intern from "Your Thing" Magazine. After she has been fired, Jade and her friends decided to start their own teen magazine. They travel to London with their two friends, Cameron, and Dylan for article opportunities, with six tickets Jade found at her old job, and an invite to the whole new punk-club, Pinz and to the Save the Universe Benefit Concert. However, at the night of the benefit concert, the tickets were stolen by the so-called "Tweevils" Kirsty and Kacey, and Burdine Maxwell of "Your Thing" magazine. But that won't stop the Bratz! Instead, they form the Bratz Rock Angelz rock band to save the show, and their magazine.
Timothy Goes to School (2000)
Tiny Pop has rang my bells to an excellent animation
Timothy Goes to School is a brilliant programme on Tiny Pop for a slightly younger audience, it tells the story a young boy, Timothy going to Kindergarden school where he makes lots of friends and gets taught by Mrs Jenkins. I have seen nearly all of the episodes my favourite one has got to be first episode when Timothy gets invited to Kindergarden School and makes lots of friends, but Claude complains about what he wears and Timothy gets upset and keep changing his clothes... I think that episode encouraged people to just be themselves no matter what others think. Also my other personal favourite is the one where Charles (the rabbit)is quite small and he suddenly figures out that he is growing and Mrs Jenkins decides to the whole class to trace themselves and cut them out and design them. But Claude complaints about Charle's design saying hes too small. Charles felt quite bad but Doris encouraged him that if you're big or small it dosen't matter, so thats my personal favourite too. I think the animation used for this programme are really colourful and out of this world and I like the way every episode of this programme is thought out, the plot was dosen't have any complicated things in it and the characters all have brilliant attitude and they never change. Also, this programme sort of encouraged young children to go to school and it says school can be really fun. My rating has got to be 10/10! The best programme on Tiny Pop !
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
Harry Potter Back in Hogwarts
Harry comes back on to our screens for his fifth year at Hogwarts School. This time, Lord Voldermot is back after the cliffhanger of him at the end of Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. Everyone is concerned about the Dark Lord's return, but things get worse The Ministry Of Magic hired a mysterious women named Dorles Umbridge who is the new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts... Harry forms up a group of Hogwarts students and gathered Dumbledore's Army. So Harry taught them about magical spells to defend Lord Voldermout's dark forces... Harry and his army is in the biggest battle yet between Lord Voldermout and his deadly Death-Eathers... Absoutley outstanding special effects, the quality of the acting was 100/100, the script was mind-blowing and the casting was top-notch!!! Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and all of the outstanding cast should deserve an Oscar for all their stupendous work! Seriously I was speechless when I left the theatres! This is the BEST Harry Potter movie yet!
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
The Jorney Begins !
I had high hopes for this movie when I came to see it at the cinema, all I can say I was absolutely mind-blown by this, it has stunning special effects, good use of cinematography, breathtaking performances and a captivating, keeps-you-gripped-to-your-seat script.
As in this spectacular movie, Frodo (Elijah Wood)is happy about Gandalf's return. But something gets fishy around the Hobbit, Frodo's uncle, Bilbo Baggins is acting terribly weird...and not really happy about his 70th birthday party...
Until Gandalf found a ring created from Sauron in Mount Doom, he is concerned about Sauron's return and the ring. Until he found out that Sauron created the ring to rule the world and to stop this someone must take the ring to the fires of Mordor to destroy the ring and kill Sauron forever.
Gandalf finds Frodo to take the ring and destroy it in Mordor, he is both exited and scared, until he finds some help with his darling Hobbit friend Sam and the two Hobbits embarks upon a long, great journey to Mordor... can they do that? This movie is a MUST see and give it a try.So turn on the telly, grab your popcorn and forget yourself for 3 hours and watch it!
