Ultima Ratio (2023)
Decent Movie, but Definitely Not Anything to Brag Home About
Last Resort is a decently good movie, though all of the blemishes of a budget film.
The acting is a bit poor with many of the dialogue between characters feeling disjointed and loosing the flow. But there are certain actors that performed better then others when it comes to this.
The visual affects are what you can expect from an average budget film, with it being alright with some of the smaller effects though showing its faults with the larger things (like breaking the law of physics.)
The story of the movie is alright but takes a couple of minutes to really start to make sense.
Overall, while not being a particularly amazing film or anything to brag home about, it's definitely not a terrible movie either. If you're looking for a decent budget film to watch, then this may be good for you.
Hostile Forces (2023)
Decent Movie But Repeats itself Often
Hostile Forces is an alright movie but has some shortfalls that prevent me from giving it a higher rating.
The voice acting is alright but things can feel of from time to time, but overall it's what's expected from a budget film.
The story doesn't really matter, or at least thats what it feels like. The story is simply there to provide an excuse to have a bunch of fighting and shooting sequences.
The action is alright but feels particularly forced in multiple times. This includes multiple instances where the characters would drop their gun either in the midst of the fight or intentionally to go first-to-fist. It feels like the only goal for the movie was to just make a bunch of fighting scenes regardless of if it made any sense.
Overall, if you're looking for a series of barely connected action sequences reusing the same tropes between multiple encounters then this movie is for you.
Safehouse (2023)
Decent but not really an action movie
Safehouse is a decent movie, but fails to be a good action movie as Tubi claims it is ( steering way closer to a thriller then an action movie)
The cinematography is really good, the voice acting is good, and the use of suspense and foreshadowing is also pretty good though the suspense can feel somewhat manufactured at times. The cinematography makes it kind of feel like it's steering towards the direction that you'd find in documentaries at times so interjects some action and Thriller elements into it.
I don't really understand the story or what's really happening within the overarching story when it comes to the scene to scene events.
Overall it's a pretty decent movie but definitely not something to brag about.
