Steven Universe (2013)
Overrated Cartoon.
This series is also running out of ideas. The quality of the shows are obviously going down. One of the first episodes was about the team rushing to the top of an important gem landmark in an attempt to save it and keep some gem culture in the Earth. One of the most recent episodes was about Steven getting scared by monster movies (another reason why is is the worst main character ever) and Ronaldo's friendship issues with Lars. Plus, now these episodes are so predictable it makes me want to cry.
The show had so much potential, but then Rebacca Sugar had to stretch her luck with 52 episodes in one season, and then screwing it all up. Clarence is making another season, hopefully with more action. Adventure Time is at least trying to change their episodes so they are plot heavy. Regular Show and Teen Titans Go made the plot-heavy decision a long time ago. Even Uncle Grandpa is trying to improve, with the introduction of Aunt Grandma. But what is Steven Universe doing? Using the same cliche plot twists. Seriously, this cartoon dont deserve the credit of his episodes of characters.
Hamster & Gretel (2022)
A great Team for a great show
Hamster and Gretel is a show created by Dan Povenmire that by this time already has an easy-to-detect identity seal, in the same way as other animators like Matt Groening or Craig McCracken.
On this occasion Dan, he gives us a series of superheroes now more than ever that is fashionable, but manages to have his own identity. This time we have two of the most peculiar heroes being a 9 year old girl and her pet hamster.
What makes the show interesting is that it knows how to use all its elements to its advantage: the intelligent humor that has characterized Dan Povenmire's series (Phineas and Ferb, Milo Murphy Law) but now satirizing the topics and elements of the series, movies and comics.
The secondary characters are memorable and endearing, they have elements that make them stand out and not be a mere walking cliche, with a brilliant musical section and references that the most adults will understand and the little ones will enjoy even if they never saw Adam West's batman or the references to silver age comics.
I hope more episodes in the future.
The Loud House (2014)
What a shame it has become.
I used to enjoy the loud house like I used to enjoy 80's comic strips like garfield or charlie brown, because it had relatable characters, simple but funny and charismatic.
In a short time The loud house is a parody of itself, hateful characters, ridiculous situations, no coherence in writing, humor of body fluids and horrible writing, it seems that the love that was had for the series by its staff.
She will go down in history as a series that was only good in its first season and declined with each season that followed.
Examples of what he mentions are the following:
-Simple characters, not simple, cliches and stereotypes without any grace.
-- Little or no respect for the idea of a story of everyday life and situations that are easily identified.
- The series has jumped the shark too many times which is ridiculous, a series where now there are ghosts, international spies, time travel.
-no one learns anything, it is a repetitive formula where any character can be petty, selfish, arrogant and not learn anything about it.
