Is there a single bad Spider-Man movie?
26 December 2023
You're going to like this movie; it's a cannon event! After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders. He must soon redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The film's story doesn't end in this movie but will he continued in another part which makes you think that this part would be a bit slow. However, the film is very engaging and enjoyable all throughout the 2 hours and 20 minutes runtime where it explores many characters and their developments without making the pace slow and boring. The movie was also filled with suprises from cameos to shocking plot twists. It was also really funny especially that they knew exactly where to include jokes. Additionally, the action scenes were so cool keeping the audience attached even more while watching.

The film is just visually stunning; from the comic style animation, to the background, to the colors, to the textures, its just all so appealing. Everysingle frame was so nice to look at. The score and the sound effects were also so good and exciting. The voice actors (Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Shameik Moore, and every other actor) were all great in their respective characters.

Score:8.5/10.

A fun action comedy
26 December 2023
Cast him as the new James Bond. At the height of the Cold War, a mysterious criminal organization plans to use nuclear weapons and technology to upset the fragile balance of power between the United States and Soviet Union. CIA agent Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and KGB agent Illya Kuryakin (Armie Hammer) are forced to put aside their hostilities and work together to stop the evildoers in their tracks. The duo's only lead is the daughter of a missing German scientist, whom they must find soon to prevent a global catastrophe.

To start of, The Man from U. N. C. L. E isn't a blockbuster action movie that has everything you need to get entertained as it has some flaws here and there including the pacing at some parts however, there are many aspects that make this movie a thrilling and fun one. This movie is a great mix between old classic spy movies and modern action movies. Its action packed and really hilarious; one of the funniest action movies in my opinion. The action sequences were really good and some of them even included funny bits. The cinematography is really good and so is the editing. Although the screenplay was pretty good, the script could've been a bit better. In general, Guy Ritchie did a great job.

Acting wise, Henry Cavill stands out as Napoleon Solo (I really hope to see him as the new James Bond) and shares a great chemistry with Armir Hammer who playes Illya Kuryakin. Their love-hate relationship makes the movie even funnier. The rest of the cast was really good too.

Rush (I) (2013)

Pretty fun ride!
26 December 2023
In the mid-1970s, charismatic English playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Austrian perfectionist Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) share an intense rivalry in Formula 1 racing. Driving vehicles that are little more than gas-filled, rolling bombs, Hunt and Lauda burn up the track, all the while pushing themselves to the breaking point of physical and mental endurance. Meanwhile, the women (Olivia Wilde, Alexandra Maria Lara) in their lives can only watch as both drivers risk death with every lap.

Ever since I developed an obsession with Formula 1, all the old F1 fans have been telling me to watch this movie. To start off, you don't have to be a Formula 1 fan to watch or like this movie at all. However, if you are one and still haven't checked Rush out, you definitely should.

As a sports movie, Rush is an incredibly crafted movie by Ron Howard and Peter Morgan that is very entertaining and focuses on the massive difference between the 2 main characters and how they develop throughout the movie. The cast, and especially Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl as they genuinely emotionally attach the audience to each of their respective characters in a very good way. Also due to their acting and to the brilliant screenplay, you can't really side with one character over the other as both their flows and good parts appear in this film. I just have a slight problem with the movie's pace at just minor instants but overall its a very fun ride.

BRILLIANT!
26 December 2023
What? How? Who? Why? What!! The implausible escape of a brilliant murderess brings U. S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his new partner (Mark Ruffalo) to Ashecliffe Hospital, a fortress-like insane asylum located on a remote, windswept island. The woman appears to have vanished from a locked room, and there are hints of terrible deeds committed within the hospital walls. As the investigation deepens, Teddy realizes he will have to confront his own dark fears if he hopes to make it off the island alive.

I knew nothing about this movie before watching, but so many people suggested it to me saying that its one of the best movies they have ever watched. The expectations were very high and Shutter Island truly didn't disappoint. This film is one of the best in its category. Martin Scorsese builds up a very tense atmosphere from the first frame to the very end of the movie keeping the audience attached and engaged throughout the whole 2 hours and 20 minutes run-time. The whole cast was just incredible but obviously Leonardo DiCaprio stands out giving us one of his greatest performances.

I don't really want to give out much about the plot but its truly a mind messing story that has one of the biggest and most shocking plot twists in movie history. The movie also ends with just one line that has alot of meaning behind it.

Barbie (I) (2023)

Hi Barbie!
26 December 2023
You've waited KENough for this! Barbie and Ken are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.

The Barbie movie was a weird but very successful mixture. It had all the fun and comedy while also hitting on some really deep subjects. To start off, the movie was superrrrrrrr KENtertaining and funny as I found myself laughing out loud many times during the 1 hour and 56 minutes run-time. Margot Robbie was superb as Barbie as she gives various levels to her character that goes through major developments in this movie. Ryan Gosling was also amazing as Ken as he also shares some great chemistry with Margot.

Greta Gerwig just shows how good she is by displaying great attention to details, beautiful set and costume design, and a really funny but deep script; the film was just stunning to look at! Additionally, it included some really good and catchy songs that really suited the mood. Now although the film has its funny and witty jokes, a major part of it was to highlight some major issues and deliver very deep messages in a very clever way and I think we had the perfect balance between those two worlds (although many may disagree). One minor issue I had with this movie was that some aspects were a bit rushed. However, on the larger scheme, this may be disregarded as that's not the movie's general mood.

Draft Day (I) (2014)
8/10
One of my favourite sports movies
26 December 2023
Sonny Weaver Jr. Is the general manager of the Cleveland Browns. One of pro football's most important days, NFL draft day, is drawing near, but Sonny has much more on his mind than just which players to recruit. His lover is pregnant, and the team's owner wants to fire him. After Sonny accepts a deal with Seattle that nets him that team's first-round pick, he immediately wonders if he has made the right choice for himself and the Browns.

I'm a big fan of spots movies, but this one just hits different. This isn't your typical sports movie where a team is losing and you're rooting for them throughout the whole film until they get a very emotional win at the end. Actually, there aren't any sports scenes throughout the whole movie, but rather the behind the scenes of this sport that not too many people know.

The film presents the intensity before every selection in the draft from all points of views including the manager, the team owner, the team's staff, the team's player's, all the players that are to be drafted, and even their families. Kevin Costner is amazing as Sonny Weaver who's the Cleveland Browns' manager and who goes through major character development in just 13 hours. Many other big actors like Jennifer Garner and Chadwick Boseman also did great in their roles. The whole movie builds up to the draft which was a great part of the movie. The last 30 minutes were just so good shocking. I want talk about it anymore so I don't ruin that part if you end up watching it.

Rain Man (1988)
9/10
Amazing
26 December 2023
Rain Man:

"I just realized I'm not pissed off anymore.". When car dealer Charlie Babbitt (Tom Cruise) learns that his estranged father has died, he returns home to Cincinnati, where he discovers that he has an autistic older brother named Raymond (Dustin Hoffman) and that his father's $3 million fortune is being left to the mental institution in which Raymond lives. Motivated by his father's money, Charlie checks Raymond out of the facility in order to return with him to Los Angeles. The brothers' cross-country trip ends up changing both their lives.

With a simple idea, Rain Man stands out as a not so typical road movie. It tackles so many sensitive and important subjects and issues. The movie is very touching and truly is an emotional rollercoaster. That main reason for that is the outstanding performances by both lead actors. Tom cruise proves that hes not just a good looking action movie star as he becomes the character and evolves with it. Dustin Hoffman was able to pour all his emotions into this character. His performance is truly one of the best I've seen ever! All the details in this character were just on point.

The story is amazingly good; its very creative and so well developed. The script is really good and gives a lot of depth to the movie's characters. Even after 35 years of its release date, its still relevant and very entertaining. A classic, and it shall forever stay that way!

Best Wes Anderson film
26 December 2023
Approximately 3 years ago, I watched this movie and thought that it was very basic and boring. However, as I got more and more into movies, I started to understand and enjoy this style; this state of art. Suddenly, I started to enjoy and love Wes Anderson movies. So, after watching "Asteroid City" followed by the set of shorts Wes dropped on Netflix, I decided to rewatch "The Grand Budapest Hotel."

In the 1930s, the Grand Budapest Hotel is a popular European ski resort, presided over by concierge Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes). Zero, a junior lobby boy, becomes Gustave's friend and protege. Gustave prides himself on providing first-class service to the hotel's guests, including satisfying the sexual needs of the many elderly women who stay there. When one of Gustave's lovers dies mysteriously, Gustave finds himself the recipient of a priceless painting and the chief suspect in her murder.

I say this about approximately everysingle Wes Anderson movie but it applies the best here. Every frame as itself is a piece of art. Its genuinely so nice to look at. What really adds to the beauty of the film is all the details scattered here and there which make the experience of just seeing the movie more and more exciting. Additionally, the whole cast is so good in there respective roles. Unlike some other Wes Anderson movies, the story is very clear and creative here. You can truly enjoy both the visual and story aspects of the film simultaneously.

It's so much of a box office flop that I watched it on YouTube for free
26 December 2023
Squirrel to the nuts! The cast and crew of a Broadway play are thrown into a romantic roundelay when a lecherous director (Owen Wilson) hires a hooker-turned-actress (Imogen Poots) to star alongside his wife (Kathryn Hahn) and his wife's ex-lover (Rhys Ifans).

To start, this movie isn't for everyone. If you're not into typical rom-coms then you won't really enjoy this one. However, if you are a fan of those types of movies then you should definitely check it out if you still haven't. The movie is very funny; the jokes are actually funny and not just silly like other movies of the same type. The script is very well written which is one of the main reasons this film succeeds in being funny. Imogen Poots delivers a great and funny performance especially with the accent she has in the movie. The rest of the cast, including: Owen Wilson, Jennifer Aniston, Kathryn Hahn, Will Forte, and Rhys Ifans were also great in their respective roles. Also, the movie ends with a very shocking cameo. (movie enthusiasts would love to see this person)

Now with this huge cast, you'd expect a lot of people to know about this movie. But apparently not. "She's Funny that Way" only cost the production company 10 million dollars but only grossed 6 million in the box office and I kind of understand why. The movie doesn't really standout compared to other movies from the same gnere. Also, the target audience to this movie is pretty small as only rom-com fans will enjoy it and others will think that its very silly and repetitive. It's a bit slow paced at some instants but for me it was pretty enjoyable overall.

Pain Hustlers (2023)

Pretty entertaining
26 December 2023
After losing her job, a woman who's struggling to raise her daughter takes a job out of desperation. She begins work at a failing pharmaceutical startup, but what she doesn't anticipate is the dangerous racketeering scheme she's suddenly entered.

Before watching this movie, I saw that it's getting so many bad reviews and ratings and after watching it, I really don't understand why. The film was so entertaining all throughout. The story was actually very interesting. Yes, there are so many stories about the rise and fall of a company however thisone, for some reason, stands out for me. The director, David Yates, decides to portray his story from the side of his protagonist who could also be seen as the antagonist. So definitely its very subjective. Yet, it serves its purpose in the whole sequence of the film.

Emily Blunt's performance was outstanding to me. She's able to lead this movie with her character that seems to be multidimensional. Chris Evans is very good at portraying this vulgar annoying character. Its nice seeing him play a character thats completely different from Captain America's character. Overall, solid performances from all the cast.

The Killer (2023)
7/10
...he kills
26 December 2023
A man solitary and cold, methodical and unencumbered by scruples or regrets, the killer waits in the shadows, watching for his next target. And yet the longer he waits, the more he thinks he's losing his mind, if not his cool. A brutal, bloody and stylish noir story of a professional assassin lost in a world without a moral compass, this is a case study of a man alone, armed to the teeth and slowly losing his mind.

If you're looking for a movie with a well developed and deep plot, or actually any plot at all, you can already stop reading the review. However, if you're not that picky, you can stick with me for just a little bit more. The movie barely has any dialogue; most of it is just narration by our "Killer" and I quite liked that aspect. Although that might sound boring, Michael Fassbender's tone of narration alongside the action that's going on the screen makes it pretty entertaining and different. Also, his performance in this movie was pretty storng and significant.

This movie, which is based on the French graphic novel that holds the same name, lacks a strong plot and story. Its just stages our killer has to do before doing his job...killing. There are many good intense scenes that I really enjoyed during the movie but at the same time there are many that are very slow based. However, I personally didn't feel any kind of boredom in those scenes but I definitely understand why some people would. If you're still reading this somehow then I definitely recommend that you watch this film.

Forrest Gump (1994)

Box of chocolate!
26 December 2023
Choosing a movie to watch randomly is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. However, with "Forrest Gump" you're sure you are getting the sweetest creamiest piece of chocolate in that box. Slow-witted Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) has never thought of himself as disadvantaged, and thanks to his supportive mother (Sally Field), he leads anything but a restricted life. Whether dominating on the gridiron as a college football star, fighting in Vietnam or captaining a shrimp boat, Forrest inspires people with his childlike optimism. But one person Forrest cares about most may be the most difficult to save - his childhood love, the sweet but troubled Jenny (Robin Wright).

There are comdies, there are sad movies, there are dramas, and there are war movies. But no movie ever made was able to pull off this combination perfectly except "Forrest Gump". This film is beautifully directed and shot and has a lot of details. Tom Hank delivers one of the best performances I've ever seen; and believe me, I've seen a lot. His character is a very difficult and complex role to play however he is able to live and become that character and make us all believe that what's happening on screen is true.

The story is Very deep and has so many layers behind it. You are able to connect with Forrest Gump and feel what he feels and understand every move he does even though it might not seek logical or right at the first glance. Overall, it's a very enjoyable and while also making you feel emotional and empathetic. So for everyone who still hasn't watched this, what are you waiting for?

Wonka (2023)
8/10
Oompa loompa doompety doo
26 December 2023
Come with meeee and you'll beeee in the wackoooo world of my reviewssss! Being a prequel to "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", this movie follows a young and poor Willy Wonka who is filled with dreams of opening a shop in a city renowned for its chocolate. However, he later discovers that the industry is run by a cartel of greedy chocolatiers.

First of all, and I really don't know why not much people knew this, this movie is a musical. Let me start with that actually, the movie is filled with so many songs all being so joyful and catchy. Although most of those songs are new, Wonka borrows a couple classics from the original 1971 film.

The main storyline was pretty fun to follow, keeping in mind that the movie's target audience is the younger generation. Additionally, the small subplots where not just for filling and were actually quite interesting. The movie was pretty magical but not as much as I expected as the original was filled with surprises and magic. I don't know if I really should be comparing with the original that much but I also noticed they missed some key points that "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" but I think that they did that for the plot. Additionally, Timothe Chalamet's performance was really good especially the choreography and the singing. The rest of the cast was decent too.

Family Switch (2023)
6/10
Some would "switch" off their device
26 December 2023
Just like the family in this movie, I need a Christmas miracle to post consistently on this account. When family members switch bodies with each other during a rare planetary alignment, their hilarious journey to find their way back to normal will bring them closer together than they ever thought possible.

"Family Switch" is a very light comedy Christmas movie that's perfect for a family to watch (well it's in the title). To start off, the idea of the movie is not very new. It's the same "oh no a big problem happened, and something has to change within the family before Christmas so we can go back to normal." However, it was executed in quite a different way. Throughout the whole movie, I didn't really feel like it was too awkward or too "cringy" which is a pretty difficult thing in basically all modern day family movies (although I'm pretty sure some might disagree). Surprisingly, this film actually had its funny moments which I really did laugh to. Yet again, it's a very simple and uncomplicated movie that requires 0 brain power in order to predict every single detail.

What really elevated the movie for me was Jennifer Garner. She's just so natural and good at this role and doesn't really force anything out of it. The rest of the cast was quite good too.

If you're a serious movie watcher, I wouldn't really recommend this. However, if you're in need of something simple and not too boring to watch with your family, then this is the movie for you.

Goodfellas (1990)

Classic!
14 August 2023
Goodfellas:

A young man grows up in the mob and works very hard to advance himself through the ranks. He enjoys his life of money and luxury, but is oblivious to the horror that he causes. A drug addiction and a few mistakes ultimately unravel his climb to the top. Based on the book "Wiseguy" by Nicholas Pileggi.

One word to describe this film is perfect. All the aspects you look for in a mobster film are just perfect in Goodfellas. From the voiceover in the beginning, to the songs, the acting (from a superb cast), the action, and the visuals; they're all just perfect. And Martin Scorsese can be given credit for a lot of those perfections due to his amazing direction of this movie.

Throughout the movie, many minor events are encountered, which I personally don't like in movies, however this film is crafted in such a good way that the 2 hours and 25 minutes that are filled with entertainment and pure enjoyment pass by so quickly. The script of this movie is stunning as it gives all the necessary details for the audience to feel attached to some of the characters and feel pure hatred to some others and giving us many memorable quotes.

Asteroid City (2023)

A Wes Anderson Movie
14 August 2023
Meep-meep! Asteriod city follows a writer on his world famous fictional play about a grieving father who travels with his tech-obsessed family to small rural Asteroid City to compete in a junior stargazing event, only to have his world view disrupted forever.

To get started, the movie definitely isn't for everyone. The movie doesn't have one big reoccurring plot (which got it alot of criticism), but plenty of little and fun subplots. People aren't very accustomed to this style of narration but I personally didn't find that to be a big of a problem.

When someone mentions Wes Anderson, all that comes to mind are aesthetically beautiful movies, and this one definitely fits that description. Although Asteriod City may be a small little town in an isolated desert, the movie itself transforms you into a whole different world. There's so much detail throughout the whole movie which makes everysingle frame an piece of art itself. From the gorgeous set design that can be described as the perfect balance between a movie and a theatrical set, to the beautiful costume designs, and the eye-pleasing color pallete. The movie score was also good but it could've been improved upon. And adding to all that a huge cast full of famous stars that beautifully worked together to deliver an amazing performance.

They have done it again!
14 August 2023
I laughed, I screamed, I jumped, I grabbed my seat, I had my heart pumping so fast, and I cried. Ethan Hunt and the IMF team must track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity if it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than the mission -- not even the lives of those he cares about most.

Now you probably won't feel all the emotions I mentioned earlier, in fact, you might not even feel half of them, it's just that I've been following Ethan Hunt's adventures and re-watching the movies multiple times since I was a little kid, making me build a huge emotional connection with everysingle character in the franchise. The mission impossible franchise has established itself as the epitome of what an action movie are. The action sequences were out of this world; from every stunt to every fight scene and the chase scenes.

The cast was wonderful and, other than obviously Tom Cruise, Haley Atwell definitely stands out. The story was also very interesting and attention grabbing as it was a bit different than other stories as it explores the immerging AI topic (keeping in mind that the movie was filmed in 2020 meaning that the writers saw this matter even before it had its widespread.)

Oppenheimer (I) (2023)

Literal boom!
21 July 2023
My first 10! During World War II, Lt. Gen. Leslie Groves Jr. Appoints physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer to work on the top-secret Manhattan Project. Oppenheimer and a team of scientists spend years developing and designing the atomic bomb. Their work comes to fruition on July 16, 1945, as they witness the world's first nuclear explosion, forever changing the course of history.

Just a little heads up before I start, I would like to make sure you know that I found it difficult to write this review. Anything stated as a review of its magnificence would be an understatement. Words truly can't describe the brilliance of this movie.

Christopher Nolan has established himself as one of, if not the best director in Hollywood nowadays. He was able to transform a biography into a brilliant mind-bending movie that leaves the audience thinking about every frame for a very long while. The movie just leaves you in a statet of disbelief; no one could directly leave the theatre right after the movie ended. The timeline and the story in general were so messed up and confusing but it came together like puzzle at the end. The cast was so good. Everysingle cast member had one of the best performances of their life. The dialogue was so good. The visuals were stunning (0 CGI was used according to Christopher Nolan). It was all just so good. I can go on and on but I can stop by just saying that this is my first 10/10 review.

The start...
17 July 2023
Normally when a franchise is very famous with some loyal fans, they hype up the movie a little more than it should be which makes the movie underwhelming when it's watched by a person who has never seen it before. However, Lord of the Rings didn't disappoint. The future of civilization rests in the fate of the One Ring, which has been lost for centuries. Powerful forces are unrelenting in their search for it. But fate has placed it in the hands of a young Hobbit named Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), who inherits the Ring and steps into legend. A daunting task lies ahead for Frodo when he becomes the Ringbearer - to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged.

From a beautiful and magical world to a very dark one, alongside the amazing costume design, the movie is visually stunning. It takes us on a huge adventure that you'd never get bored of. Throughout the whole 3 hours run time, the story is very engaging and entertaining. It takes a bit of time to figure out what's actually happening and how the whole thing was caused, but after that moment of realization, you could never stop watching.

The script is written in an amazing way; making the people who have never read the books understand what is going on while not being solely informative and boring. The characters are also very well developed and the audience is able to build a connection to those characters. Additionally, the cast was immaculate as all the actors fit perfectly for their respective roles.

To conclude, the first chapter of the Lord of The Rings movies succeeds as an amazing movie based on a novel.

Fast X (2023)

Still fun...but it's about time we're done
17 July 2023
The first part to a three part sequel to the tenth movie of the Fast and Furious franchise. Yeah, I know! Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto and his family have outsmarted and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they must confront the most lethal opponent they've ever faced. Fueled by revenge, a terrifying threat emerges from the shadows of the past to shatter Dom's world and destroy everything -- and everyone -- he loves.

The Fast and Furious films are just getting very repetitive; there were multiple scenes in this one where I was like "I think I've seen this before." They obviously tried to do something new with Jason Momoa's character but it was just weird in my opinion. I don't know if it's Jason's acting or if it's just the character but it was really off. Although there weren't many CGI and green screen scenes, they were pretty bad.

Now on the bright side, the racing scenes were pretty exciting and intense. The action was a bit over the top but if you ignore that, those could be seen as crazy fun especially with the great cinematography. It was pretty funny sometimes too. There were also some cameos and returning character which were pretty cool.

So taking into consideration that it's a Fast and Furious movie, I would say that it was pretty fun to watch.

Extraction II (2023)

Better than the original!
17 July 2023
Extraction 2:

Back from the brink of death, commando Tyler Rake embarks on a dangerous mission to save a ruthless gangster's imprisoned family.

First of all, yes you can watch this without watching the first one. I watched the first Extraction movie not so long ago so I can watch the sequel directly when it comes out, and honestly, I wasn't very impressed. The movie didn't have one big flaw, but it had many small ones. However, Extraction 2 tried to patch up the flaws and they kind of succeeded. The action were very creative and harder this time, especially the one shot 21 minutes scene, it really gives the impression that you're part of the movie.

The story was way better too. It had alot of character development and that built a connection with the audience and those characters. Also, the cast was really good as Chris Hemsworth stands out and shows that he can actually act.

My problem with this movie is that it was very slow at parts and some other parts were pretty much useless.

The Super Marios Bros. Movie is not only for kids and the fans of the Nintendo franchise as other adults might as well enjoy this animated film. First of all, the movie is made for kids. People shouldn't take it too seriously. It's meant to be all colorful and fun and shouldn't be judged as a good quality movie. It servers its purpose perfectly. It's filled with references to all the video games which I'm sure was very satisfactory to all the fans of the game (including me).

The movie's plot, which was inspired from the original game, is so engaging and fun.

The movie was also so funny. I genuinely laughed out loud many many times throughout the 1 hour 32 minutes runtime. The animation was also more than amazing. Illumination are really stepping their game.

Score:7/10.

BlackBerry (2023)
8/10
Surprise of the year!
17 July 2023
BlackBerry tells the story of Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie, the two men that charted the course of the spectacular rise and catastrophic demise of the world's first smartphone.

This movie is one of the movies I enjoyed the most this year, a big part of why I did was definitely the storytelling. The storytelling was insanely good, they made a story that would bore your whole friend group up 30 seconds into the it, into a 2 hours movie that's interesting and fun all throughout. The cast was just perfect in my opinion; each character had its own traits that made it stand out from other characters, and the actors playing those characters delivered the script, that suited each of them, incredibly. Character development is a key element in this story and it was presented so smoothly and gradually in a way that you don't really feel like there's anything changing but when you look back at the events that happened and what certain characters did, you will notice it.

I thought the director, Mathew Johnson (who also plays Doug), did a very good job; the color scheme used, the way the whole film was shot, the music, and many more aspects present in this film were just splendid as suited the movie's theme perfectly and elevated the story. I also found the movie to he hilarious especially with the characters' reactions in certain scenes

Score:8.5/10.

Ratatouille (2007)
9/10
Best animated movie ever!
17 July 2023
"If you're gonna name a food, you should give it a name that's delicious! Ratatouille doesn't sound delicious." Although it doesn't sound delicious, Ratatouille is a very yummy watch. Remy dreams of becoming a great chef, despite being a rat in a definitely rodent-phobic profession. He moves to Paris to follow his dream, and with the help of hapless garbage boy Linguini he puts his culinary skills to the test in the kitchen but he has to stay in hiding at the same time, with hilarious consequences. Remy eventually gets the chance to prove his culinary abilities to a great food critic but is the food good?

Disclaimer: This isn't your typical movie review. Growing up, I used to watch movies from time to time but I never intentionally played a certain movie. Until I came across Ratatouille. I thought that the movie was so good that I had to buy a CD version of it so I can watch it whenever I want. And that's what I did. From there on, I never stopped watching it. Ratatouille is one of the only films I can watch over and over again. This rewatchability aspect is one of the main reasons the movie is that good.

The movie's idea and plot are very creative and original; it's not a typical kids animated movie as it has a deep meaning and message that can't really be targeted to kids, although they would definitely enjoy it with all the comedy. The animation was aslo superb. What really elevates the movie from me are the twists and turns that truly no one expects but make the story even better. I can go on and on about how good this movie is but I can just sum it up with: "arguably the best animation ever made"

The Godfather (1972)
9/10
Waw!
17 July 2023
Considered to be one of the best movies ever made, and I just finished watching it. This mob drama, based on Mario Puzo's novel of the same name, focuses on the powerful Italian-American crime family of Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando). When the don's youngest son, Michael (Al Pacino), reluctantly joins the Mafia, he becomes involved in the inevitable cycle of violence and betrayal. Although Michael tries to maintain a normal relationship with his wife, Kay (Diane Keaton), he is drawn deeper into the family business.

For this movie, I decided not to write a full review as everyone knows how good the Godfather is. It has been an inspiration for all movies that came out after it. The cinematography is amazing, the plot is very grasping, the acting is phenomenal, the script is very well written, the plot twist are so shocking , the three hours run time passes by so quickly, and I could keep going on and on however I would like you to go watch that movie and experience it on your own. You don't have to be a fan of gangster movies to likes this, so you just need to go watch it for yourself as soon as possible and enjoy this masterpiece.

Score:9/10.
