First, that's a tough venue to play, small and intimate and stacked with friends/celebrities. Secondly, dude's third eye is wide open. The way he switches gears between punchlines and serious material is what makes standup such a high art form. Sure, some jokes didn't land as well as they could have, but the incisive insight more than made up for it. He didn't pull any punches, humbling himself by baring his soul and in the process he reached deep into ours. Quite the testimonial for mushrooms as medicine. This set was inspired, if only the rest of us could muster that level of intestinal fortitude.

Not generally a fan of the Marvel universe films, this is the exception. The plot was whatever but the visual effects were inspired. Far and away the closest representation of "D'eMpTy" I've ever seen in the scene where the two Stranges are fighting with music notes and symbols. I'd love to see interviews with the creative team that put this together.
