My Policeman (2022)

Tried not to be biased...
4 November 2022
Harry Styles helped me propose to my girlfriend in October of 2014, so its hard for me not to be partial to him. Went into this movie having no idea what it was about and I'm glad. I will say that although Styles' acting skills have improved greatly, he was still outshined by his cast mates. There were times where his emotions came across as disingenuous and flat, but also times where I could tell that he's been working on his chops. Now, not knowing what I was going into, I must say I was quite surprised at some of the moments in this movie. There were a couple of things I wish they had conveyed better, such as the time between the 50s and 90s. I felt like there was big gap missing and I was left wondering what happened or how they lived their lives out between those years. I would recommend this to most of my friends, although I know some would cringe at the "love making" scenes. I, personally, was not put off by this and found it quite romantic at times, although Patrick did come across as pushy and off putting many times, almost creep like. In the end, I really enjoyed the film and look forward to seeing many more from Harry Styles. He's only going to improve.

Underwhelming...
20 October 2022
I was ecstatic when I found out the new VHS film was out. I think thats the main reason I was underwhelmed. The first 2 really made an impact on me and I've been let down ever since. I will say that '94 was pretty good, but this one just fell short so many times. My personal favorite segment was "The Gawkers", because it brought back memories of me and my friends trying to sneak a peek at my friends sister when we were in Middle School. Creepy? Probably, but we were kids. Ozzy's Dungeon was also a fun ride. Thoroughly enjoyed that one. I enjoyed maybe 30 percent of this movie, the rest of it was just tired babble and bad lighting. If youre a fan of the VHS films, give it a watch. It's definitely worth it, but dont expect anything nearly as good as 1 or 2.

Weak..
14 October 2022
Notice how the 8 and over star reviewers have only reviewed 1 movie? It's because they worked on this movie or know someone who did. The lighting is horrible, the acting is weak, it's not original. The only thing original about this is that it's an all black cast. If you're looking for a dumb movie to watch, because you have nothing else to watch, just watch nothing. It would be better than this trash. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because people actually took time out of their lives to make this movie. I cant knock the hustle, but I'm knocking the outcome. I was cringing from the very beginning. Trying way too hard to be "hip" and "original" when it's far from it. Take my advice and watch Zombeavers instead.

Legitimately terrifying...
12 October 2022
It's not often that I get an uneasy, terrified feeling, while watching a movie, but this movie succeeded in doing that. I'm not sure if it was the smiles or the ways the actors died, and the looks on their faces that did it for me. It was probably a combination of both. I did find it quite funny that Kal Penn was a doctor in the movie, as he always plays a therapist or doctor in shows and movies recently. Sosie Bacon played such a convincing role, that I found myself legitimately feeling her pain and terror. She was incredibly believable and the supporting actors did an incredible job. If you like creepy movies that make you feel uneasy, this is the movie for you.

How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014)
9/10
One of 2 shows I can watch over and over again...
7 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
How I Met Your Mother is the first sitcom I really got into. I remember watching episodes with my gf and didnt get what the big deal was. Then I watched from season 1 and totally got the hype. I was immediately drawn into the characters and their lives. Marshall and Lily became my dream couple and Ted was the perfect lead character for this show. The way they turn his pain into comedy is perfection. The guy is literally searching the entire series for a partner, and they somehow make it the most interesting show I've ever seen. Barney is hilarious and makes the perfect "dirty friend". The fact that he's a womanizer makes it even more hilarious. The only reason I didnt give it a 10 is because the final season felt rushed, which I know they had to because Jason Segel wanted out of the show. I loved the mother and loved the fact that he ended up with Robyn at the end. If youre looking for a feel-good, hilarious show, give it a shot.

Becky (II) (2020)

Thoroughly enjoyed....
7 October 2022
I was surprised to see Kevin James play such a believable character. I went into this movie not knowing anything about it. Never seen the trailer, nor did I know a thing about it. When I saw Kevin James, I was in complete shock. Becky is an absolute warrior and this movie has me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm a big fan of movies with gore, and this satisfied my need. The antagonists were terrifying and Becky was the perfect hero for this movie. If you're looking for an action packed, gory, "edge of your seat" movie, this is it. The rating should definitely be higher and this movie didn't get nearly enough advertisement. Give it a watch, you won't be let down.

Can I sue Tubi for this?
6 October 2022
Saw this on Tubi and decided to give a watch for gits and shiggles. I'm sorry I did. What a piece of junk. The person who rated this 10/10 obviously worked on the movie or knows someone who did. I didn't even rate Shawshank 10/10. I gave it a 2, only because people actually took time out of their lives to shoot this absolute tragedy. If you're thinking about watching it, I want you to take that thought out of your head and flush it down the toilet. The same toiled this movie belongs in. What a horrendous attempt at a "movie". I want my money back, and I didn't even spend anything on it. I'm disappointed in myself for giving it as much time as I did.

This is the one!!!

If you want real horror....a movie that will keep you up at night...this is it! The eerie lighting and music, the Firefly family, Captain Spaulding, the Fish Boy. Its all just so magical. Growing up in the 90's I was bombarded with cheesy, low budget horror. What a treat it was when Rob Zombie released this absolute gem. I dont want to ruin anything, so I'll just say that this movie is worth watching again and again. It changed the way I looked at the horror genre and I havent been the same since. Do yourself a favor and give it a watch. I still remember the first time I watched this movie. With a group of friends, on the couch, senior year 2005. We loved it so much we all went together a couple of years later to watch Devils Rejects in theaters. I'll admit, 3 from Hell was a bit of a let down, but Hof100C and Devils Rejects are absolute classics. Im honestly bummed its not rated higher. This movie deserves to be at least a 7. Have fun with this one guys, its unforgettable.

Better Watch Out (II) (2016)

Absolute classic...
31 August 2022
I came into this movie not knowing what to expect. I didn't see any trailers or read and summaries. Im a big fan of Ed Oxenbould and decided to give it a shot. The thing that I love about this movie is that there is no real down time. Throughout the movie you are guessing and trying to figure out what is really going on. Levi Miller does an outstanding job in his role. He genuinely made me hate him. I'm not one to "hate" kids, but good god I wanted to strangle this boy. This is the highest I've ever rated a horror movie. The acting, the plot twists, and the action is top notch. Highly recommend watching any time of year. It's in my top 10 favorite horror movies list. Give it a watch, you won't be disappointed.

What a film!
16 August 2022
As a kid, this movie completely f'd with my head. I watched this at 8 years old, when it was released, and it really changed my life at the time. I experienced so many emotions that I didnt even know I was capable of experiencing at that age, and that is what a movie is supposed to do. Change your life! Challenge you. Provoke you! If youve never seen this movie, first, what planet are you from and second, watch it.
