Do Revenge (2022)

I need financial compensation for the whiplash I experienced at the end
28 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It wasn't bad, just awful for the first hour until you get to the last part. I didn't expect the ending because there were so many sub plots that I thought should have been more important but weren't, or maybe I was just really distracted by the mean girls knockoff vibes I kept getting. I'm probably too old to understand, so don't let the opinion of a homosexual 35 year old deter you from giving it a shot. I still kind of want to know why Drea thought it was so important to keep the fact that she was "poor" from her friends, and how they didn't find out for so long. There's a lot about this movie that just didn't make sense to me, but I'm probably just too old.

I named a Halloween spider ceiling decoration "Hellboy" because of this movie
7 June 2022
I really hope Jaime French reviews this movie on YouTube because I've always wanted to see her read one of my reviews, even if she hates the movie. Please notice me.

I have never, not a single day or minute of my life, wanted children. I didn't think I would be interested in a story like this, but ultimately it was the Tina/Amy powerhouse that convinced me to go to Walmart at 3am and buy it. Unfortunately I watched it so often that I accidentally gave it away because it was still in my DVD player when I donated it after getting a ps3. So I bought it again.

This movie comes with its healthy dose of cringe at moments, but honestly, I think that adds to the charm and appeal. I didn't really believe Amy's character was supposed to be younger than Tina's, I assumed they were the same age and just at different mental stages in their lives, but again, either way you see it, that adds to the charm. Amy's weird boyfriend character was way too realistic and relatable for me personally, but I think that just says more about the type of people I've dated in the past than anything else.

I will not pass up an opportunity to quote this movie, ever. I was going in for surgery in 2015 and just before the anesthesia knocked me out, I said "this is good, what's the street name for this", and the friend that came with me to drive me home quickly informed the anesthesiologist that I was quoting a movie and I didn't mean it. "Sunsetty" is also one of my favorite colors.

The plot of this movie is pretty predictable, but still enjoyable, at least for me. If you like lighthearted comedy, I'd suggest it. If you still like the "lol so random" style of comedy, I'd suggest it. If you struggle with infertility and deal with hardship by seeking humor, I'd suggest it. It's funny, I promise.

As for Hellboy the Halloween spider ceiling decoration, he had a good nearly decade of being the best roommate I'd ever had. He's now retired and covered in dust.

Great message, horrible everything else.
30 April 2022
I made an account just so I could comment on how awful this film was. The message was really great, human trafficking happens every single day, and it's awful. Evil exists everywhere, I know that, but what I don't know is how anyone saw the finished product that is this film and let it loose into the world where people with eyes can see. The awful over-acting and forced crying gave me so much secondhand embaressment that I almost couldn't finish it. I know this is based on a true story, but was it necessary to make the black girl look like a willing participant? Who greenlit this script? Who's responsible for directing this? I hope they put the pen down and never write another script again. Please. I hope the actresses are/were able to find work after this film.
