Star Trek: The Next Generation: Shades of Gray (1989)
Why 8 stars?
I watched this series when it was first broadcast probably saw every episode. Not sure if I caught them all.
A few weeks ago I purchased a vintage 20th anniversary set of the series and have commence to binge watching it.
So far it has filled in many blank spots of my memories of the show, this episode has so many scenes from the previous first season to the end of this season. It isn't even really its own episode, except for the plotline of Riker, with his neurological damage, being used as an excuse for all of the flashbacks... I give it an 8 rating instead of lower because frankly, I am impressed at how hard they must've worked to stitch together all of the filler scenes from the previous episodes... I imagine they saved money and had more time off for the after party or so I hope.
Subconscious (2015)
Submarines and time travel what's not to love?
Submarines, time, travel, mystery, suspense, and love story all tied into one movie. What's not to love? I found the movie entertaining, personally I was not looking for a documentary on World War II, or a cinematic masterpiece when renting this film.
It seems a lot of people were over anticipating some kind of nirvana like greatness. Hence all the bad reviews and bad ratings kind of sad must be a sign of the times anyway, I enjoyed it. I gave it a 10 just to boost general ratings because of all the haters out there are against it and I'm rambling on to fill up the required characters. Last characters complete. End of review. No one will probably read this anyway.
