Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
Great Movie!
I wanted to be entertained. Mission Accomplished!
After reading numerous reviews, I thought I was going to be miserable throughout the entire movie. It was fast paced and enjoyable. The storyline was great, with likeable characters and not so likeable characters.
I'm not sure what everyone else was looking for, but it had all the elements of an Indiana Jones Movie.
My favorite movie is the first one. I can't believe that the Dial of Destiny is also one of my favorite of the Indiana Jones Franchise.
It had its twists and turns that you will enjoy.
Glad Harrison Ford did an amazing job and the other characters did too.
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Not for me...
On Oscar night, I was excited to see who would win and listen to all the speeches. I was happy for the people that won. I would watch the movie later that won an Oscar for Best Picture.
Did this movie really win 7 Oscars? Wow! It started off with a good storyline, then it got distorted (literally).
I watched the movie after the Oscars. Now, I understand Angela Basset's face. At first, I was disappointed that she didn't clap or smile for the winner. Now, I get it. I would've still clapped and smile. Lol
I love Jamie Lee Curtis, Ke Huy Quan, and Michelle Yeoh. They deserved the Oscar for their performances over time in the industry.
I hope they are enjoying their Oscar and will continue to receive movie offers that will bring them another Oscar.
The Irishman (2019)
Boring
I can't believed that I watched over 2 hours of this movie. I am a fan of the director and stars, but this wasn't the best movie.
One thing that I wished that was clarified in the movie was why didn't his daughter say a word to him, but was attached to his friend in the movie. Did I miss something? I can understand that she understood his lifestyle, but didn't like it. However, she stayed silent the entire movie.
I do get a kick out of the three actors(Al Pacino, Robert Dinero, and Joe Pesci) playing in the movies together.
Hopefully, the next movie will be much better and shorter. I would like to see the children's version of growing up in a mobster family.
Father of the Bride (2022)
It's ok...
I really, really wanted to like this version of Father of the Bride. The humor was just not there, it seemed forced. Andy Garcia did his best to carry the film. Just know that the film is ok.
This Is 40 (2012)
Not Sure
The title is very interesting. However, the movie fell flat. I love the music especially the last artist that sung the last song. The husband and wife characters were well developed. The plot of the story was all over the place. The children's roles were awful. It seems that they ran out of money to finish the movie. I was left with questions. The wife's father started to become interesting at the end of the movie as he started to have a relationship with his granddaughters. The best part of the movie is when the father took off on his bike and ran into a guy's open car door. When they exchanged punches, it was hilarious. That was the only time I laughed out loud.
True Story (2021)
Unexpected
OMG! I was not expecting to like this series. It was a wonderful surprise. Kevin Hart and Wesley Snipes did not disappoint. I can now take Kevin as a serious actor.
Clickbait (2021)
Bravo!!!!
Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I love a movie/series that gives the unexpected. This is definitely a series to watch. When I first heard the buzz that this was a great show, I was inclined to watch. It moved slow in the beginning, but I will always watch until the end. OMG!!! I looked up the writer and director to see whatever series/movies they have done. I'm such a fan.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
This is not it!
The beginning was thrilling. I was sooo excited that it started off great. However, the middle and end fell flat. It was an extreme disconnect with the storyline. I thought it was me after I saw the user reviews. Please try again as this is a powerful movie from the first movie-The Matrix.
Downhill (2020)
Two Stars
I am a fan of both of the stars in the movie and that is my reason of giving the rating of 2 stars. I am going to see the original movie and hoping that it won't be as disappointed as this one.
Friend Request (2020)
Bravo!!!!
This movie should've been on Netflix!!! It was excellent!!!! I was bracing myself for the same old storyline of husband cheats and crazy girl tries to kill the family. It was soooo much more than that. All characters were well developed and the movie kept me intrigued from beginning to end. This is obvious a must see and I am very critical of movies.
If I gave it a 10, it has to be all that and a bag of chips! Kudos to the writers, director, characters, and all cast/staff that helped to make this movie worthwhile seeing on a Saturday night! :)
Fatal Affair (2020)
Disappointed
I am so furious that we have two tiered talented actors in this movie and this is what we get. I am sure the actors knew it was a flop when filming. I just wish they could've been vocal about making this movie suspenseful. It was the same old type of fatal attraction movie but with no action.
If you need a sleeping pill, this movie will cure your insomnia.
Black Mirror: Metalhead (2017)
Not interesting
I have been binge watching since yesterday and thus far this show is my least favorite. In my opinion, there is no story line and development of characters. I have so many questions about this show that will never be answered. This means that the writer/director didn't complete their job. I wish they could redo this particular show.
