Cruel Intentions (1999)
Charming and fun
One of the best films about betrayal is right here. The teen version of the classic. Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe, and Sarah Michelle Gellar star in this all time awesome film directed by Roger Kumble. The original is always the best? Not in this case. Not only does this film star an amazingly talented cast, but it gives us a good time as we watch it. This movie is very sexual and charming, and you'll wanna watch it again and again! Sebastian (Phillippe) has a 'reputation', and he wants to make that rep of his even better...By deflowering the headmaster's virginal daughter Annette (Witherspoon). Kathryn (Gellar) says he can't do it, so they make a bet. If she wins, then 'that hot little car' of his is hers. And if he wins, he gets...Kathryn. Of course Annette has no idea about the bet, and after a while, falls for Sebastian's charm. Then Kathryn manipulates Sebastian out of staying with her, she tells him he can't be in love with Annette, even though he is. Plus tons more happens, and the ending is very sad, but the whole movie is wonderful, sexy, and it'll have your eyes glued to the screen throughout the whole thing. Selma Blair also stars in this film as the young Cecille, the girl Kathryn's seeking revenge on. This is a classic tale of love and betrayal that will be popular forever I'm sure. A movie like this can never be forgotten. I give it 5 out of 5 stars total, because it is that awesome.
A Far Off Place (1993)
Wow, touching story
This story has so much knowledge and truth behind it, it's amazing. Reese is very good in this movie, and it's one of her best films ever. She is amazing & she is smart in this movie. Staying strong and surviving is harder than TV shows, and this movie teaches us so much. That friends and family is more important than anything, and we can make it through difficult times if we just stick together and stay strong. This film is great, and I respect Reese alot more than what I already did now. She should be proud to have portrayed such an emotional and well-rounded role. I'm sure she is proud. This film is great, the acting is cool, and it's emotional. But it's good family fun, or maybe just fun for the Reese fanatic like me.
Legally Blonde (2001)
Reese is in it, so yeah, I love this movie!!
Not only does this movie inspire those who are judged for who & what they are, but it makes you laugh...alot. This film is bashed by those who don't even give a movie like this a chance. You know, the blondes with their credit cards, their pink outfits, and obsession over shoes. But this film is not just Clueless all over again. Personally, Reese is very talented. So is Alicia Silverstone, but Reese is just so pretty and awesome. Don't judge Reese by this movie, especially if u haven't seen some of her best. Legally Blonde stars a hot young cast including Reese and Selma Blair. This movie starts off about Elle Woods (Reese) getting dumped by her long time beau Warner Huntington III. She loves him, and she thinks he is going to propose to her...but he dumps her instead. And she's not gonna let him go that easily! Elle works as hard as she can to get into Harvard Law, and when she finds out about Warner being ingaged to an awful girl named Vivian (Selma Blair), she goes to the closest hair and nail salon. She meets Paulette, a wonderful nice girl who needs a friend or two, and she helps her out as a friend. Not only does Reese discover she's not just a blonde who 'can just turn out to be a Victoria Secret model', she learns more about herself and the world. She finally graduates Harvard & realises she's better off without Warner, and that she, herself, deserves someone who can respect her for who she is & never give up on their love. If u watch closely, u will see Elle become something that she is, not something she isn't. She may be blonde, but she realises she IS smart, and that she can become something in her life. Don't keep thinking it's impossible for a fashion major to get into Harvard Law School, because if someone's determined enough to work hard to get what they want, you just never know. You have to see this movie if u haven't already. Ignore the negative remarks, most people prolly never even saw this film, they just down grade it, because it's all about a blonde girl who comes out on top. Reese Witherspoon is one of the most talented actresses in the movie business. Not only is Legally Blonde a must-see, but so is "Freeway", "The Man In The Moon", "Pleasantville", "Cruel Intentions", and I'm sure the upcoming film "Sweet Home Alabama" will be just as great as her other movies. 'You must always have faith in people, but most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself'.
Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000)
I can't believe I put off seeing this...
Ok, putting the fact that this story is entirely fiction & the plot is kinda messed up in the eyes of those who believe nothing like this could ever happen, Blair Witch 2 (Book of Shadows) is surprisingly well. I honestly don't know why everyone said it was bad, because the camera is still for once, and the cast is very talented. I think Book of Shadows is just a freaky and scary as the 1st film. I even put off seing this, because everyone said it was VERY bad. Well, I liked it. I bought it previewed at Blockbuster & it is very good actually. I'll admit that I couldn't watch it over and over, but every couple of months or so, yeah, sure, I'd enjoy this film. It's pretty freaky & it's not very pretty either. Very gory & disturbing, but it's a good movie. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. Check it out if u haven't. It's really not that bad.
