Commander in Chief (2005)
A Great Series Airing In The Wrong Era
This was an excellent series that was canceled way too soon. Geena Davis was a perfect choice in this role! She had all the great qualities that a real U. S. President needs embody & more. Donald Sutherland was another casting choice in his role as Speaker of the House. The only other actor that I think could have even come close to his caliber in this role is Ronnny Cox (of whom did appear in 1 episode of this series). I've heard rumors that 1 of the main reasons that the series was canceled was "because a woman being U. S. President is too unbelievable". I completely disagree with that & Geena Davis proved that statement wrong in more ways than 1. She would've definitely received my vote for President. The lowest rating that an individual episode received on IMdB was 7.0 & that was only in 1 episode. Overall, an amazing series that aired in the wrong era &, if this series aired today, would've have been successful & had a much longer run. In the words of 2 famous critics "Two Thumbs Up!
Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Chase (1993)
An Excellent Episode, But Needed More Time
This is an excellent episode. The only reason that I gave this 9 Stars, is because I believe this should have been at least a 2-Part episode (maybe even a 3-Part). More time should have been given to the chase. More time should have been given to the main theme of explaining how so many different alien species look similar all across the galaxy. The realization that all Humanoid life was seeded throughout the galaxy & descended from this one ancient alien civilization deserved more time too. Even combining both TNG & DS9 crews could have given this idea an even bigger canvas to work with. Also, I think more alien species should have been in on the chase too (Andorians, Ferengi, Orions, Vulcans, etc). Either way, this was still a very good episode & gave us some great character developing moments from Picard too. This was, also, well executed by Jonathan Frakes at the helm too.
Stargate Universe: Seizure (2011)
A Great Episode
A Great Episode! I only have 1 little issue with this episode. Now I realize that Dr Rush (Robert Carlyle) was stuck in the virtual world of the chair, but I wished that they would have found a different storyline for him in this episode. The writers could have easily figured out a way to incorporate his storyline into another episode. I say this mostly because I would have absolutely loved to have watched a scene where Dr Rodney McKay (David Hewlett) & Dr Rush were forced to work together. With both of their egos & superiority thinking that it would have been very interesting & most likely fun to see which one of them actually won the final argument.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Duet (1993)
Definitely Check This Episode Out!
This episode along with In The Pale Moonlight (1998), The Way Of The Warrior (1995), Far Beyond The Stars (1998) & Trials and Tribble-ations (1996) are (in my opinion) the Best & Top 5 episodes of Deep Space Nine (& easily in the Top 25 episodes across the entire Star Trek franchise). Nana Visitor (as Major Kira Nerys) & Harris Yulin (as Gul Darhe'el/Aamin Marittza) were Both Excellent here! Here we get to see how extraordinarily gifted that Nana truly is. Harris Yulin is as brilliant & moving as he always is. This episode is, also, the real starting point of Major Kira finally facing her buried emotions & past demons regarding the Cardassian Occupation. Not to mention we get to see the first real glimpse of just how Phenomenal Deep Space Nine is & an Amazing look into what this series is going to become going forward. The only bad thing about this episode is that we never get to see Haris Yulin return as Amin Marritza in future episodes (perhaps as part of Damar's Cardassian Rebellion from the Dominion towards the end of Season 7). Definitely check this episode out! Lastly, In the words of a famous movie/Tv reviewers duo, "Two Thumbs Up!" 👍👍
