A Dickens of a Holiday! (2021)
Wonderful for all, every one!
I hesitate to give movies 10 stars, but wow, this one deserves it!! It's also not often I would say that I would watch a Hallmark movie more than once or twice, but this one is a 10/10 would recommend and would watch again and again! This is definitely a new favorite! SO swoon-worthy!! Such a sweet storyline, not only of love but of family and growth. The acting and character development was praiseworthy! Moved me to tears and gave me chills. Also it's just the right amount of a Christmas Carol, in case that is not really your thing.
It was also so fun to see Kristoffer Polaha in a different role, he did so so good! He is one of our favorites! He and Brooke D'Orsay both did a great job!!
Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate (2022)
Andrew and Nikki go together like chocolate and shortbread.
Love the two main actors! Nikki and Andrew really made the show. They're very talented. They fit the roles well and know the importance of facial expressions and body language to really enhance the reality of a scene. I'm looking forward to seeing them in more mysteries.
The storyline was alright, I liked how it felt different than the typical. I enjoyed the red herrings and how they kept us guessing. The ending did feel a bit short. It wasn't my favorite of the Hallmark mysteries (as I've watched them all haha) but it would make the short list and I would definitely recommend it. I'm hopeful that they will make more of this series.
Emma Fielding Mysteries: More Bitter Than Death (2019)
Dialogue shmialogue
We love our hallmark mysteries. The Emma Fielding ones aren't my favorites, but episodes 1 & 2 weren't all that bad. However, this episode was something else. Now don't get me wrong, the storyline was decent and interesting enough. The dialogue, however, was terrible. Everyone had this haughty and snippy attitude that made it not enjoyable. Not worth the watch, unless you want to see grown adults acting like high schoolers.
