Sniper Português 2 (2024)
The sequel i was waiting.
What to say about this good sequel, it was all i was expecting and more, thrilling, tense and dramatic telling of Sniper in enemy zone, that has to deal with one of the most infamous snipers ever, the ice sniper, his tip bullets are made of ice, that´s how i see him, lethal and deadly waiting for his prey, he thought he could outsmart the portuguese sniper, but he didn´t because he was above him, and managed to spoil what he was planning to do.
The wartime scenes are all shot extremely well and I think the best thing about them is the feeling the director shows in the fact that these men are really in a trap not knowing where the next bullet is going to come from.
What really pushes the movie from the opening scene to the very last is the terrific performance by Rui Constantino and Miguel D, Dias, the both of them play well together as hero and villain.
It's certainly a terrific sequel and overall this is a great film that leaves the viewer with a lot to think about and be thankful for.
Expend4bles (2023)
HERE WE GO AGAIN, EXPENDABLES FOREVER !!!!
The action sequences is another thing worth noting; they're not only great, but the immerse CGI adds a somewhat stylized/cartoonish look to them. There's a somewhat 300 style to the violence in the excessive blood splatter, yet no slow motion is used. Instead, all of the action is very quick and crisply edited-this makes it hard to keep up with the body count I might add.
In regards to plot, do not expect much. I predicted it all from the beginning, but there is a nice twist that I didn't see coming at the end. I don't hold this against the movie though, because plot is not its purpose. The film's goal is to provide mindless action-the perfect escapism. That's what I like about this film. When this comes out on DVD, I'll certainly pick it up and if Stallone decides to do another chapter, I'll definitely go see it on the big screen.
The Exterminator: Don Teschio's Revenge (2023)
Exterminator justice.
An interesting crime story that shows what can happen when the law fails to punish criminals.
The action begins with a mob guy received news about some warehouses destroyed and 100 million dollars in dope gone in the fire, he manages to call a strange guy with bones in his chest, creepy voice this guy as, i don´t know what it was but this guy was balls to the wall, making jokes while killing people, he says to the exterminator that he killed his girlfriend and even laughs about that...what a creep.
For me, he is a heartless man, he only cares for the money, that the mob guy paid him to get rid of our hero.
I like this movie saw it on their channel, i was surprised because i knew nothing about these movies, but now i found out that this is based on two movies from the 80´s.
So soon, i´ll check these two, along with first chapter of this one.
It´s a solid 8 for me.
The Hunted (2022)
Solid and effective war thriller.
Rui Constantino does a good job of staging some intense firefights. Hiding behind the cover of trees, as the golden sun creeps through, as we see our hero running troughtout the forest, once the bullets start flying, the film really showcases the character stamina as he take on more bruises and wounds as time goes by.
The movie focused mainly on one character Soldier Lawson, in the beginning he is just one of the team, but soon we realize that the all mission depends on him, as his team mates start dying, the film has lots of action and because of the odds stacked against him, it made for a very tense watch.
A sad, but an ultimately powerful film.
A Última Presa (2021)
Looks good but does not develop into much.
This could have been a fine show if it wasn't for the poor dialogues and the weak acting.
The show has a way of chasing it's own tail, not moving a bit from the premise it has started at. Things do change, characters do evolve, but only on a superficial level.
Don't take me wrong, I've watched the show,. It has moments when it really shines, loved the vibe of all the scenes behind the show, the island is amazing, the locations look like paradise, but don't get your expectations very high, because the hunters don´t feel like they can really hurt you, on the other hand the story is there, and it has nice presentations of the characters, but it isn´t enought.
At least for me 6/10.
A Chamada 3: Fim da Linha (2022)
Go with the flow and what a flow it is! The purifier wants you.
The Call 3 is a.wildly satisfying to me. The way the cinematography was done is astounding, regardless of anything should be more known.
The characters are good, the story continues what was built before this one, the ending was the best.
