Lavalantula (2015)
This happened
Me and my mentally challenged friend decided to watch Lavalantula. Now why did no one ever have the idea before to put spiders into lava, an excellent movie idea, this idea alone had me and my friend hooked. Now when one goes to LA, what do you expect? To go and gamble, have a weekend with your mates, even go and get mugged, BUT NOT IN THIS FILM!!!! This film presents to us a reality of which no one has ever imagined before, with multiple aspects of the film that will blow you away, and anyone else in a 10 mile radius. First of all, the fact there is a volcano under LA within the film makes this one that proves geology is a lie. AS people around the world know, movies such as these, which would have put hundreds of hours or research into the environment the film takes place in, they would know if there was a volcano under LA, or not. Without this information, the film would not be realistic, and with a movie of this standard, that simply isn't an option. Secondly, The movie portrays the motion that spiders have been evolving under our feet for potentially millions of years, waiting, for the right time, to claim their place on top of the food chain. If you thought my explanation about the rats in ratatouille was scary, you haven't read anything yet. These spiders can and will take over our world without hesitation. And finally, the final scene, a scene that you need to watch yourself. There are no words to explain what I saw in that scene. Only fear, fear for what is to come.
I have placed my order of a underground bunker, i suggest you do the same.
Pacific Rim Uprising (2018)
I thought this was real steel
Me and my mentally challenged friend decided to watch Pacific Rim 2. First of all, this is just real steel, but bigger, this movie is a blatant rip off of a masterpiece movie, that not only explored the future of robot fighting and how our technology has the potential to develop, but shows us a father reconnecting with his son. Now pacific rim 2 on the other hand, this is just bigger robots, with less impact upon the audience. First of all, the fights are just plain boring, unlike real steel, where the combat feels real to the audience. Within real steel, we get to see the main character become one with the robot, with the unique shadow boxing chip installed. Now you might argue that in the pacific rim 2, they are connected directly to the robot, but that does matter for anything, and here's why. In reasteel, they form a connection with the robot, forming a bond with it when seeing it progress up the boxing ladder, upgrading it as they go alone. This connection is able to be witnessed when they refuse to sell the robot, and then beat the champion with it. The emotion that is shown within the final fight scene, of the child and their concern for the robot not breaking down is real, unlike what happens in pacific rim 2. When the robots in that movie die, the two pilots also die with it, and they do feel the pain, but only upon the physical level. The failure to reach an emotional level with this robot not only ruins our movie immersion, but the entire movie. It is this lack of connection to the robot, which causes the audience to not care about the loss of the robots or their pilots, and ruined not only my immersion, but my enthusiasm for robot movies. I will need to watch real Steel at least 9 more times to regain any passion I previously had towards any films containing robots.
Bad movie, go watch anything else with robots in it, in particular real steel.
Ratatouille (2007)
the end as we know it
Me and my mentally challenged friend decided to watch Ratatouille. Where does one even begin with this film? This rat has not only travelled to a great city, and made a living as a chef, but him and his family committed murder together. It is through this act, of murdering the health inspector that they formed a bond closer than any other rats could have formed. It is through this bond that they are able to begin to overthrow the government. The look in the health inspector's eyes showed it all, those few brief frames of fear in his eyes showed not only his life flashing before himself, but a realization of the world that is to come. These rats have not only begun to fool the chef into trusting them, but have now begun to overcome the humans that were once higher upon the food chain. It is in these brief moments that the tables have turned, in that the revolution had begun, the revolution of that rat. These rats would have begun to realise that they would no longer need to hide in the shadows, but they can now, as one, begin to reclaim their lost throne on top of the food chain. The rats now will have a chance within this cruel world, to make a change for their own species. Something the humans are not prepared for is that simple fact they are outnumbered by the rats. In the more than likely event that the revolution takes place, our world is doomed. Once they take over Paris, they will be able to take over the world with their own technology, which has never been seen before. Does this sound familiar to you, of course it does, everyone has heard of the French revolution before, even the rats. They have watched history unfold before their eyes, and have learnt from our mistakes. It is from sitting in the shadows that they have watched us and learnt, learnt our weaknesses, our desires and our goals, of which they will be able to not only overcome, but exploit. Ever heard of a pandemic before? Of course you had, we are in one now./ ever heard of the plague? If you have ever been in school before, of course you have, the rats have learnt about all of this. They will reintroduce the plague into our society, and will eventually, through this method, the revolution and industrialisation of the rat kind, will not only overcome us, but will wipe the human population from the face of the earth. This is the image provided to us as the viewers, from these brief frames, these brief frames of fear we witnessed from the health inspector, before he meets his death.
Looking forward to ratatouille 2.
Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010)
masterpiece
Me and my mentally challenged friend watched this movie, and our way of living has totally changed since watching this masterpiece. We now are realising the impact we are having up[on the environment, and are changing our ways in order to save our world. We have made a blood pact to not only cease using all electricity (don't ask how we got onto IMDb, we had to cheat a bit), but to force others into this way of living. We will go around neighbourhoods, harassing people until they turn off their lights, and other electrical things. We have also begun to idolise a Bird Who we call Jeff. This bird will lead us and the rest of the world into salvation, away from all climate change. It is the changes represented within this film that we need to implement into everyone's way of life, otherwise we will all fall into a crippling depression, caused by our own failures to convert to a renewable source of energy.
Hail Jeff, our one and only hope.
