10 Lives (2024)
Here Comes Mr. Jordan Meets Groundhog Day.
This is an animated movie about a selfish cat named Beckett who dies while tormenting his owner's clumsy boyfriend. Because of his selfishness, he is doomed to that old Lake of Fire, but he convinces the angel handling his case to give him nine more lives to be better, only they aren't in the form of a cat but nine other animals.
I must say that this is a very amusing animated feature. It helps brake the stereotype that cats are selfish creatures who could care less about humans, and I am not just saying this because I am a cat person. I am more than delighted to give this movie 9 out of ten stars.
Wish (2023)
It's Not As Bad As People Say It Is.
I recently saw Wish, and why it did so poorly in the box office I'll never know. I admit that it wasn't one of Disney's best animated features, but it wasn't one of its worst ones either. I enjoyed the characters, the songs, and the animation. It was no "Beauty and the Beast", but it was not as bad as "Strange World" either. I might not go out of my way to see it again, but I still thought that it was pretty good. I think that your children might enjoy it anyway. So on a scale from one to ten, I would give Disney's Wish a seven. It might not make a profit, but the Mouse House had slumps before.
The Loud House: Pasture Bedtime/Shop Girl (2018)
This is Why Leni is My Favorite Loud Sister.
One of the best Loud House episodes in season three by far has to be Shop Girl. It shows us what a beautiful human being Leni Loud really is. When God forgot to give her a brain, he made it up to her by doubling the size of her already enormous heart. The world would be a much better place to live in if the entire human race was more like Leni Loud. No wonder I love her so much. It's just plain impossible for anybody not to. I personally didn't think too much about the other episode, but I think that Shop Girl is so far one of the best episodes in the series yet, and that is the reason why I am giving it a score of a perfect ten.
Lost in Space (2018)
I Didn't Care for It.
I saw the reboot of Lost in Space, and I frankly didn't like it very much. The acting was terrible, the story plots were done to death in other science-fiction shows, the family was dysfunctional, and Dr. Smith was so evil that she was much more annoying than interesting. She didn't hold a candle to Johnathan Harris. What made the original Lost in Space so appealing was that it was fun, and Dr. Smith, the Robot, and the aliens were all the ones who made it that way. It is two-bit reboots like this that make me grateful that I don't subscribe to Netflix. Do yourself a favor and watch the reruns of the original Lost in Space, and don't waste your time with this show.
