Intergalactic (2021)
Not worth the effort.
Most of the reviews up to this point have got it right and I'm not going to re-hash the failures of this show in different words and phrases.
It's a shame that they spend loads of money to develop shows as bad as this when other shows such as Dark Matter got dropped.
Sky should look at their priorities and maybe pick up some of these dropped shows and spend money on reviving them as they already have a loyal following.
I will probably watch the entire series just to be sure that it is as poor as it promises to be, but lets hope that it is not renewed and Sky learns a few lessons.
Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
Don't Bother Watching This Unless You Speak Spanish.
Film starts well with the usual Rambo superhero action sequences designed to show the audience exactly what a hero he is.
Unfortunately once he has had his credentials established a great deal of the dialogue is spoken in Spanish with no subtitle translation.
As I don't speak Spanish I was at a loss for what if anything may have been said that was significant.
The action does tend to speak for itself in this type of film but the lack of a decent dialogue takes so much from it that it ruined the experience.
Jack Ryan: Tertia Optio (2019)
Could do better.
Despite great action scenes and a gripping story line.
Why Oh Why do the writers, directors, producers insist on putting in lengthy spells of dialogue delivered in Spanish with no subtitle translation.
It has been particularly bad in this episode, leading a non Spanish speaking viewer at a loss to understand if there may be something significant being referred to during these sequences.
Stitchers: When Darkness Falls (2015)
Continuity
Why no reference to the fact that the lead male character who was dead at the end of episode 10, is now alive and well in episode 11?
SEAL Team (2017)
Stop Start nature of broadcast schedule spoiling my enjoyment.
This is genrally a highly entertaining and enjoyable show which I look forward to watching. The first season I discovered just as it was finishing it's run and was able to watch them at my leisure one after the other taking breaks as I saw fit.
However the second season I watched as they became available and the interupted nature of the broadcasting schedule has ruined the show for me.
I was enjoying the show up to 21/11/18 but then found the next six episodes came at intervals of two weeks, one week, three weeks, one week, two weeks, and seven weeks. Six episodes randomly scattered through sixteen weeks.
I know this is American and they have thanksgiving xmas and new year during this period but why a seven week hiatus.
At the end of this period I will have lost interest in the show and will probably not take it up again once it returns.
This is not just a critisism of this show but of lots of American shows who take prolonged breaks. I am thinking mostly of the Arrowverse stable of shows which I used to watch but now do not for this reason.
The better option is to wait until the run has finished and torrent the entire season, but what good will it do to the producers and broadcasters who will lose my exposure to all those expensive advertisments.
