Saat Pake Bandha (2009)
THE BEST BENGALI MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN!
I grew up watching such wonderful movies of Jeet and Dev. But I avoided watching Saat Paake Bandha because I am not fond of the romance genre. So I had not seen this movie until now, but what I realized today is that I had missed out on one of the best things in life by not watching this movie, which is now fulfilled by watching this. In a word, superb movie. It has plenty of comedy, romance and emotional scenes. When you start watching the movie, you will wish the movie did not end so soon! I hope more movies like this will come.
And one more thing, I know that this movie is a remake of South Indian film which was released in 1996. Despite my own Bengali heritage, I believe that the outstanding performances of the cast and crew, guided by the director's skillful execution, this movie have elevated this adaptation to new heights, exceeding the original film in many respects.
Surongo (2023)
Mind Blowing!! One Of The Best Bangladeshi Movie Ever!
In his career, Afran Nisho has set a unique foundation in the perspective of the small screen audience as a TUKHOR actor. Raihan Rafi's directional masterpiece is today's Surongo. After a long time since late Salman Shah, an actor in Bengal has made a heart-wrenching debut with his creative and instinctive demeanor. Perfect color grading, great cinematography, great monologues, great direction, perfect acting recipe.
The flamboyant actor Shahiduzzaman Salim's comic timing brings life to the performance. Along with that, Tama Mirza's greedy and foxy personality in search of opportunity did not make Surongo a one-man show in perfect production.
Nisho Bhai didn't come up with anything new; he was as devoted to the drama he has been doing for so long on the big screen as it is today. Acting is the main thing. Nisho did this in his first movie. He is loved by every audience. There are flaws in the production at some places which are forgivable due to the good story. Surongo is an enjoyable film full of interesting twists.
Good luck. 👍
Pathaan (2023)
BLOCKBUSTER!!!
Pathaan is a great spy thriller movie that is clumsy, disorganised, and unbelievable.
First and foremost, movies are created for amusement, and Pathaan succeeds in this regard. People shouldn't anticipate a movie like Nolan's because that one is an action movie that excels in its genre. As always, SRK is amazing and truly inhabits the role of Pathaan. It's encouraging to see that John Abraham has finally landed a role that will allow him to display his acting talent. He does a great job playing Jim. Deepika did a good job in her role. Dimple Kapadia deserves special attention since she supports the cast admirably and is the dark horse of the dark horses for the movie.
Cast performances are strong. The mind-blowing and jaw-dropping action moments of Pathaan are its specialty. The bgm for Pathaan is nice & catchy.
The cinematography is gorgeous, and the direction is excellent. Pathaan's tight screenplay, which never loses its momentum, is another asset. Last but not least, a special thank you for Salman Khan's appearance. The fight between Pathaan and the Tiger will undoubtedly elicit cheers from the crowd and become one of the most recognisable moments in Bollywood film history.
A few cringe-worthy lines of conversation and a somewhat tighter screenplay would have been preferable.
Verdict: It's a highly entertaining film. Forget logic & stuff & just enjoy the ride.
Eternals (2021)
The "WORST" Marvel Movie I Have Ever Seen!
And yes this is coming from a true Marvel fan who has never missed a Marvel movie in the theatre since 2008.
Much like Joss Whedon's Justice league, this movie tries to fit a lot of main characters within 150 mins, and that's where it fails. Chloé Zhao, you should have never agreed to this one. This could have been such a great series! Every character could have their own 40 min episode, and with stars like Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, it wouldn't have a been difficult one to make!
But due to the short time, too many characters with too many plotlines, this becomes a convoluted mess that tries to solely depend upon the cgi to impress the audience. But MCU was never about that! The best aspect about that is, we felt what the characters went through. Iron man, Captain America, Thor, we see their development slowly, we relate to them in a way that when they fight together at the end, we know exactly why they're doing that. Eternals fails in every way possible for it to fail as a MCU movie.
People who are rating it above 3 stars, I think you have never seen a MCU movie and I request you to go watch it. As for Marvel authorities who greenlit this project, if your intentions are to make poor end products with the sole intention of cash grabbing, please go ahead. You will lose more fans like me.
