Slow Horses: From Upshott with Love (2022)
Now I'm annoyed, so I'm going to go eat some noodles.
This is how I felt when I first saw Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Despite being interested, it is difficult to remember Russian names at once without seeing the original book. Of course, I think it would have been difficult for season 2 to put this content into a total of 6 episodes, 240 minutes.
In Episode 2, each character shows a hidden side that has never been shown before. In Season 1, the appeal of slow horses was great, but now, each of the slow horses facing the situation is starting to stand out.
As Cold War events resurface, Jackson Lamb, coaxing the KGB into exile, looks overly disturbed like never before, and more serious than ever. Still, Cartwright goes straight ahead, just as he did when he first arrived at the airport. His own way of dealing with taxi drivers in order to get the job done was art.
Min Harper and Louisa, who act as lovebirds, are still the most adorable. Especially, the episode where Min stood out. I still vividly remember the sweat on my armpits because I watched it together with my heart racing.
Actually, I was thinking about 8 points because I could understand the story of the Russian oligarch after watching episode 2 twice, but I changed my mind to 10 points after seeing other users commenting that it was very annoying to see Jackson Ram chewing and eating jajangmyeon. It has been.
Does the scene make people feel bad and angry? So it's Jackson Lamb. Now that I see it, the director seems to have taken the drama very faithfully to the extent of being amazing.
Gary Oldman is vicious. I had to eat french fries the day I saw episode 2.
Look at the chubby cheeks. Like a pink piggy bank, Ram continually stuffs food into his mouth. Can't understand why he eats shrimp dumplings by himself so deliciously and cutely? He's giving River and the viewer a new kind of torture...
Now I'm annoyed, so I'm going to go eat some noodles.
Slow Horses: Last Stop (2022)
Eye of the storm
The slow horses did not disappoint. When Jackson Lamb gets motivated, Slough House takes on a much brighter atmosphere compared to the first season. It became reversible. Outside, it's full of serious business and it's still raining.
Urgent situations come rushing in, but thanks to the actors who play the role of slowness, spying feels like a tight push-and-pull with a girlfriend.
Other characters are swayed here and there by the volatile love situations that are unfolding, but Jackson Lamb, who has seized the initiative, is just being picky on his own.
Sorry for Gary Oldman, Jackson Lamb looks like the grandma from Little Red Riding Hood. And looking at Gary's performance, it seems that the old woman has already secretly eaten the wolf and is knitting, waiting for Little Red Riding Hood River through her thick glasses.
The gloomy first chase scene was especially good in the heat, while the strange currents that flowed through Cicada between Reaver and other Cold War-era agents who seemed overly peaceful were the best. The calm before the storm? Eye of the storm? Anyway, that the shattered peace began to make a terrible sound when the glass was scratched.
It was fine except for the fact that the directing of the facility when bringing in the hard was far from Slough House.
In the midst of the tumult over the Russian invasion of Ukraine, this material seems quite timely. I was worried that the drama would come out as well as the first season, but it was pretty good. An episode that felt more rewarding than expected.
Slow Horses (2022)
Spying on Slough House in the rain
It feels like I'm secretly spying on Slough House in the rain, The musty smell of rain, the squeaking of footsteps, and the sound of farting... People usually say that a work has a sense of vitality, but this is the first time I've ever seen a work that smells on the screen.
Thanks to such a wonderful director, director, screenwriter, and actors. I really like the strong emotions that are alive in the unique feeling of being slow and sinking and dying. Although the Slough House was killed long ago, the Slow Horses are still alive in the midst of it.
As we progress through the first season, the actors' facial expressions continue to tell us that there are more hidden things in this story.
It's clear that Diana and Jackson Lamb have a more complex and nuanced relationship than they seem. And I'm looking forward to the endless relationship development that other characters will gradually achieve in the future. Slow horses and Regents Park are both crazy. You're fu*king useful!
It's a British sensibility, but people who have seen Slow Horses in Korea say it's the best, including me.
We are not critics, but it was good that all the clues were collected in the eyes of the general public. The detailed and attractive story that could not be cut in the middle was delivered neatly.
I first saw it because of Gary Oldman, but I fell in love with the work itself. I can't wait for season 2, so I feel the hope that the original will be published in Korea.
Flashpoint (2008)
Best drama of my life
'Connection-Respect-Safety'
One of the best police dramas I've ever seen. It leaves a deep impression, completely out of the frame of provocative and usual movies and dramas that glorify or criticize the police.
Those who are desperate for some, and who want to deal with dangerous and difficult problems professionally, these are the real heroes in reality. That's great! You will be able to check the great performances and fine details of the actors who are like family in the big and small dilemma. Team 1 listens, connects, and respects the stories of the people behind each episode to keep everyone safe. "Make a peace"
All the extras were excellent, not even one single one to criticize. The best drama ever.
In Canada, it is called SRU, in the United States it is called SWAT, and in Korea it is called SOU (Special Operation Unit).
Apart from the special police, communication today is an important issue for all police officers. This is because simply suppressing the problem can never be the solution in solving the problem and adjusting the trouble. It is especially important for the police, who are closest with citizens, to listen to the voices of the scene. It would be the same in any region of the country. A wonderful drama that has no inferiority until season 5.
I watched this drama when I was a student, and now I am a police officer. They are lovely characters with love for each and every one of them. With Flashpoint as an opportunity, I often watch Canadian dramas, movies, and TV shows these days. Love. (Hugh Dillon, Amy Jo Johnson, Enrico Colantoni, David Paetkau, Sergio Di Zio, Micheal Cram, Mark Taylor, Oluniké Adeliyi, Clé Bennett) Sincerely, I love everything.
Awake (2021)
Awake
Insomnia is certainly a problem that is an issue even for modern people. However, extreme insomnia seems to have been a difficult subject for ordinary people to understand and to express in movies. The content was absurd, but the ending was truly absurd.
Personally, I really liked the fact that each lead and supporting actor laid out detailed double lines for entry and exit to collect them. Touching a gun on the waist, shaking hands with injections, etc.
It's a novel movie, so I recommend watching it.
-ps. Korean. Translation is easy, but writing is difficult...
The Lookout (2007)
It was perfect from start to finish
In an instant, the daily life, where everything was perfect, crumbles. The higher you are, the longer you fall. The protagonist will continue to get out of bed, shower, and get dressed until he gets up and shakes himself off.
A reality far from the glory of the past that will never happen again. With a wonderful script and directing, I was able to read the deep depression, despair, and anger from the expressionlessness of the main character.
And let's remember It was all thanks to the help of the people around me. It is the warm caress that embraces the struggle during difficult times.
When I first saw this movie 5 years ago, I didn't really agree with it. However, I also had an accident and struggled for two years. In the end, I decided to have surgery and happened to watch this movie again a week before I was admitted to the hospital, and finally I was completely immersed in the movie. Really, this is an incredibly well-made movie. -ps. Korean. Translating is easy, but writing is difficult...
