Just... wow.
11 July 2003
Okay, so there is little I can say. This movie exceeded my expectations, and I'll tell you, I had high ones from the numerous good reviews I had read. Just seeing Johnny Depp mincing ashore was amazing! It's pretty cool what Disney puts out sometimes.

So bad, it's nearly good.
11 July 2003
I'll tell you right now... this movie is not a cinematic masterpiece. It doesn't even get past the "ci" part of that phrase.

No, KMTPOTP (as I shall abbreviate it), is not a movie for movie lovers. It is, however, a movie for BAD movie lovers.

I remain a KISS fan, and even admit that I have watched this more than once. KISS's music is good in this, but I must ask... What was with Ace Frehley's occasional squawk? Was there a purpose? Was there a point? I must know!

Pizza (Maybe a spoiler or two)
23 March 2003
Warning: Spoilers
It was insane how I was introduced to this movie. I was online, looking up stuff on none other than The Ramones, and I hear "Sheena is a Punk Rocker" coming from the TV. Turns out it was a movie almost entirely composed of Ramones stuff that was on our television, and I immediately looked it up here. Then I sat down and watched it.

Since I love the music of The Ramones, my view of the movie may be a little slanted. Look, this was not meant to be cinematic art, it was meant to be a rockin' and rollin' teen movie involving probably one of the most influential rock bands of all time.

My personal favorite scene was when the main character, Riff Randall, is in her bedroom and is fantasizing about Joey Ramone singing "I Want You Around" to her. Then she sees Johnny playing the guitar, Marky outside her window, and (cue for my sigh of approval) Dee Dee Ramone standing in Riff's shower. I almost died. Thankfully, he had clothes on, even though the shower was on.

I also was fascinated by the fact that Dee Dee only said one word: Pizza. The way he said it was interesting. Sounds like my sister, but not quite like Michael Keaton in "Multiplicity".

If I had lived in '79, I would have probably tried to be IN this movie.

The Ring (2002)
Spoilers ahead...
15 March 2003
Warning: Spoilers
To start off with, I would like to say two things: Number one, this movie scared the pants off me. Number two.... this movie scared the pants off me.

From the minute the TV started playing those freaky images to the part where you think it's over... I was freaked.

A fine movie, since it plays a mind game with you and actually makes you think about what is going on. Maybe that's why some things about it will always be in my mind... Unlike "What Lies Beneath", where I just watched it, was scared, and it was done.

A 7 out of 10... For the "so-scary-it-takes-three-days-to-recover" factor.

The Goonies (1985)
8/10
Classic
9 December 2002
This movie is, in short, a classic. It's a favorite of mine, ever since I borrowed it about 3 months ago. It was hilarious when I saw the look on my friend's face... "You've never seen The Goonies???" Well, now I'm part of the group who have seen the movie and love it.

I can't stand it when people criticize movies so brutally, like a comment I saw on here. But, I admit, there are some movies out there I would like to trash, so I'm not saying anymore.

The movie is a great adventure movie, even though some of the language might not be good for younger kids. An 8 out of 10.

Scooby-Doo (2002)
Pretty good (Minor spoilers about a character)
3 July 2002
Warning: Spoilers
This was pretty good, even if it was just a typical summer movie. I liked how Shaggy and Velma were portrayed. Fred and Daphne.. eh- they could use some work. What I was most interested in was the angle of Velma meeting someone, and someone who is (IMHO) pretty cute. Of course, you ARE getting this from a high-school girl....

Wonderful
1 July 2002
The summary says it all. This review is coming from a 100% Heath Ledger fan, so it might be a bit biased. Oh well :P Anyways, I just bought this movie on DVD, and I'll tell you, it is funny. I have so many favorite parts in it it's not funny. My parents watched it with me, and THEY even think it is funny! But anybody that seriously wants to know my ultimate favorite part, it's when Heath's character is singing to Julia Stile's character during her soccer practice. That and the end when Kat says "You know you can't buy me a guitar every time you screw up." Sorry, but I can't help myself. Anyone that knows of something, like an online fan club for Heath Ledger, please e-mail me.

Ni!
1 July 2002
This has been the ultimate source of amusement for me and my siblings. We have most of the movie (including those songs) memorized. In fact, I am watching the DVD as I speak (type?). I just don't have a clue on what the ending means, can anyone explain it to me? Just a harmless little bunny, isn't it?

Wonderful!
15 April 2002
In my humble opinion, this is an example of a classic novel brought to life and actually makes a wonderful movie!!!!!!!!!!! The cast portrayed the characters very well. Viggo Mortenson brought Aragorn to life, Sean Bean brought Boromir's character to life, and the very good-looking Orlando Bloom made Legolas real. The flavor (if not the details) of the book was captured for me.

BTW, is there any fan club for Orlando Bloom online??? Please let me know!

X-Men: Evolution (2000–2003)
can't get better
11 January 2002
This has to be better than the original! I was excited when I heard about this one, and I am a diligent watcher. What other teen girls like Nightcrawler?? *raises hand proudly* I WAS going to think it was just a cheap imitation, but I turned it on one time and I love it.

Big Wolf on Campus (1999–2002)
very awesome show(a couple of spoiler-sort-of thingys about a movie.)
3 November 2001
Warning: Spoilers
I have watched Big Wolf since I got bored one afternoon and turned it on. Now I am hooked. It seems that there are other Merton-lovers out there. Contact me!!!! Anyways, with the show being SO realistic, it is almost like my school, but not quite. Tommy is so strong, Lori is so cool, and Merton... is... well, Merton. (HOT HOT HOT!!!!!! HE IS ABSOLUTELY HOT!!!!!! Why do they make him so nerdy? It is saddening.) And since Merton is into goth stuff and all that, the goth things could draw you to the movie "When Good Ghouls Go Bad". (ALERT FOR OTHER TEEN GIRLS..... IT HAS A CUTE GOTH BOY IN THAT MOVIE!!!)

Well, later.

When Good Ghouls Go Bad (2001 TV Movie)

very nice, well written
28 October 2001
This was actually a very nice movie, Christopher Lloyd making it even more so. He does wonderful acting and is my favorite at comedy other than Will Friedle.

The plot was very well written, even though it followed the traditional Goosebumps storyline. Except for leaving you hanging at the ending, like most of R.L. Stine's books do. (I HATE that!)

Overall, very nice, well written.=)
