Code Name: Tiranga (2022)
At last an espionage thriller to watch with family!.
It's a decent movie with good plot. Woman power movie has to have love angle but hit has been portrayed well and clinically. One of the few Bhaaratiya films which takes you to different countries. Worth watching.
Yes, agreed, it could have been better that this. Being an espionage film, it lacks speed and thus you feel the thrill is compromised. And also the cinematography could be been wonderful with such exotic locations. And lastly the intensity was lacking.
The surprise was the last action scenes were in video game pov mode. Pariniti Chopra, Sharad Kelkar were good. In fact all actors were good. But intensity and drama were lacking. Maybe Director must have want soft touch. Guess this lacking may make it family movie. But then it should have had some gloss and mood styling. Anyways it's not a waste of time at least.
Ram Setu (2022)
We love to watch again n again together with family
Yes, nice movie for one belonging to Bhaarat. The film is relevant and pampers the controversy as well as the annoying debate of this country neutrally. Also very few movies from Bhaarat go into such details of the subject like science, archeology, astronomy, marine, history and literature and at the same time seek truth in each.
If you are open to the views of the beholder of this subject then you will enjoy it. After all every movie is the perspective of someone.
A good movie for Bhaaratiy kids and provide an inspiration to take on hand such foundational topics with both contemporary and conventional knowledge systems.
To know one owns culture and history it is not suffice to deal them with outsider's view. And this is these example of not to judge a book by it's cover. It seems Secular word is a for the ones who wants to dominate their views and religion.
This movie is the testimony of how bold we are to dissect our own basic thread of faith, culture, fundamentals and knowledge.
All actors have done their part beautifully. Of course the technology representations may not be as good as Hollywood but otherwise the story is pace well through out. Jai Shri Ram.
Sahasam (2013)
One of the firsts from Bhaarat (India) in the genre of adventure and fantasy mysteries!
Good movie. I was surprised to see such story being made in Bhaarat (India). Just like Indiana Jones, Tomb Raiders, National Treasure etc, this film is of Bhaarat origin and wow! It did not disappointed me. Though i saw the hindi dubbed, but I was fascinated by the twist and turns and its mysteriously brain-teaser plot. The story takes you to Pakistan and in a very interesting way. Good entertainer. One of the firsts of Taapsee Pannu too. Must watch.
I am surprised that no one later ever tried such plots. Good attempts on sets and riddle mechanics just like you see in the kinds National Treasure, Indiana Jones.
Karthikeya 2 (2022)
Indiana Jones, Tomb raiders, The Mummy....and now Karthikeya.
Just like Indiana Jones, Tomb raiders, The Mummy and such others, Karthikeya has carved its niche by being indigenous and ingenious. The director-writer Chandoo Mondeti has taken this movie to a next level. It's apparent that movies from Bhaarat (India) are evolving in terms of storytelling. Karthikeya 2 is really an entertainer taking us to different ends of Bhaarat with a new, dignified and wanting perspective of our times. It has an interesting plot which is rooted to the times of Lord Krishna. The director has tried to show the history of Bhaarat in a new light.
This is a treasure quest movie spanning different parts of Bhaarat. Ofcourse, it is entertaining but yes, it seems to be lacking the pace which you would find in such genre movies from Hollywood. The film satisfactorily provides thrilling and chilling moments but not consistent and not of high degree. It also clings to some characteristic gravity defying actions which should have been made more realistic or avoided. But it earns the points in making you seated by being brain-teaser and keeps building the mystery and suspense till the end. Special effects, art direction and cinematography are good. Use of animation looks appropriate for creating the age of Lord Krishna. And yes, one shot of the Ancient Dwarika Nagri was so beautiful and I would want it to be recreated in real. Wow that was! Even the aerial/drone views of the existing Dwarika were good.
Yeah, few romantic moments in transit from one place to another; not so good but not so bad too. And about the stars, Nikhil was good and so was Anupama and other stars. But when Anupam Kher came on the screen, one can feel the difference in experiencing the film. I mean the experienced and talented actors makes the scene so natural and gripping. Anupam Kher came to me as surprise; Nice little role; reminded me the role of Sean Connery from Indiana Jones. Overall good acting and casting (including the other actors). Of course the mannerism of Telugu/Tamil movies do seem to inhibit such story lines.
I have not seen the first franchise of this but I am thinking of watching it. Thanks to the director giving us glimpse of ancient Dwarika.
Samrat Prithviraj (2022)
It's good. Worth going cinema.
Don't go by reviews, decide yourself. It's a good movie. A true story told well if not brilliantly.
There many goods. First is woman power issue; it showed how old is this issue and how fight continues from the times of Krishna. This nuances of the fight of gender in our history is captured beautifully. Second, the architecture and settings are best and looked 'Bhaaratiya' and of course Dwivediji is known for this. Thank god he didn't made them extravagant like Bhansali. Yes, somehow it missed to create the mood of that time and era as he had done in Upanishad Ganga.
All the characters are good and have made it worth watching. We can see a glimpse of pressure of lead role in Akki. His character was treated with too much caution and so agreeably ended up stiff.
If you are going to compare this with Hollywood finishing and making then it's your mistake. Even Bahuballi and RRR were not perfect, in fact they have have stretched every scene towards a laughable perfect..
If you see good you will get good.
