The A-Team: Alive at Five (1986)
Subplot
I know the A-Team show is not one for logic, but the subplot of Face, leaving was not thought out. For a start, with all the surveillance equipment, around the house, Why didn't Face find a more subtle way to tell the Team, instead of broadcasting his plan. We could have then had Hannibal, plan Faces Death so it wouldn't have jepodised the Teams pardons, and that would in turn have satisfied Stockwell. But instead they just wish him well. Although the rest of the episode feels like a rehash of season one's, "till death do us part" it wasn't bad, and the actors pulled it off ok. It's just a shame as the season went on, George Peppard and Mr T, wasn't fully in the episodes as the early years.
Mammoth (2021)
Could have been good
When I saw this advertised I looked forward to it. Unfortunately it was complete garbage. I was expecting a comedy Drama, in a reversed Life on Mars style. Instead we got an hour of a mess of a plot, with juvenile humour, unlikable characters and predictable stories. The BBC had a real opportunity, here to show pathos, and have the main character coming to terms with life in the 21st century, it could have had the humour of only fools and horses, with the drama of Life on Mars. But the BBC don't seem to be interested in anything quality these days, and only want to give the public, any old rubbish.
Frasier: Reindeer Games (2023)
Disappointing
I had a few hopes for this episode, but like the rest of the season, it didn't hold a candle, to the original. Even on rare occasions that the quality of the original seeped through, during the 10 episodes and gave me hope, it quickly disappeared. The new characters, are boring, and feel like they come from, how I met your mother. And the constant laughter track every few minutes is jarring. I would love to know why the producers thought this type of humour was acceptable, considering the quality and effort put into the original. The only things that made this episode worthwhile was Roz and the tribute to Martin. All in all the whole reboot promised more than it delivered.
Doctor Who: Hell Bent (2015)
Could have been excellent
This season story arch was more suited to the 9th Doctor and Rose, as they were would have carried it off. Whereas the characters here, come across as unlikable and dull. Which is a shame because the story itself wasn't bad.
Person of Interest: Liberty (2013)
Please get rid of Shaw
I wish the show, would go back to the quality of the first season. Shaw is the worst character, as she has no redeeming qualities what so ever. I can't understand why the writers, have dropped the ball with this character? I just wish this episode concentrated on John Reese and Carter.
