The Others (2001)
Show do not tell
Only it appears they ddin't bother to tell either. I've never seen a basic plot ploit drag for so long. The production value is high, however the story (and the movie) is boring beyond belief.
Bag It (2010)
It's not that great
Just counteracting the 10/10 reviews here. It's not there narratively, analytically, production-wise or in delivering on it's promise (any one would suffice). I am not sure it would even qualify as good, perhaps compared to it's counterparts. Defenitively solid background choice though, as it's quite digestable and lively.
To all that rate it 9/10 or 10/10: If you want to be responsible, maybe start with your statements.
The Babysitter: Killer Queen (2020)
Dissapointing
If you liked the first one for the unorthodox style of horror commedy and you really want to see the contiunation of the story, flip a coin. Heads, watch this, tails, you aren't missing anything.
So bland, trying to relate so hard it's annoying.
Top Secret UFO Projects: Declassified (2021)
One-sided story
Disclaimer: I watched only first half an hour of the series.
It started quite well. Establishing the background, showing real footage and explaining goverment involvement. Immidiately after that it went downhill, rapidly. Just at 14:30 they sell admittance of UFOs as extraterrestrial contact and minutes later the conspiracy is the only angle.
The severe lack of details, clarity and structure just shouts manipulation. Unlike another Netflix title Conspiracies, which presented both sides and left the decision to viewer, this just pushes it's agenda. No opposing voice, no other possible explenation, no data for comparison. It's all about aliens and big goverment keeping us blind.
The laughably bad cgi is done so laxly that in a scene where they talk about cigar-shaped object, the animation shows a saucer instead. The real footage isn't much better considering the narrative will twist it however appropriate.
I had to stop watching since I was pausing the video every two minutes to angrily explain to the screen that they either contradict themselves or jump to conclusions from miles away. Or just plainly lie. It plays the same way YouTube conspiracy videos do but with greater budget. At least on YouTube one can check with the comments, this offers no alternatives.
One star for the tidbits of history and they're lucky the scale starts at zero.
