Yo, adolescente (2019)
I hope depressed teenagers don't see this movie, but I like it.
It is a film of a life that many teenagers could identify with. The protagonist tries to cope with the death of his best friend, while exploring his sexuality. It's an entertaining film and I think both adults and teens could find it emotional. The performances are believable and there are many nods to life in Argentina in 2005. I guess that's why some foreigners may not find it nostalgic.
In relation to character development, it almost doesn't exist, but I understand why it doesn't exist. The protagonist himself says that he feels he learned nothing, the viewer feels the same. That everything that is happening is stagnant, I am glad that this aspect does not make the film boring. Like any human being, he has his mistakes and his characteristics that make us empathize with him.
It seems to me that at the end there is too much importance given to the sadness of the parents when in the film there was no bonding that makes us feel empathy to then cause pity. It would have been better to focus on the sadness of his friends.
There's the cliché of teenagers partying, having sex and getting high. It's partly okay, but this movie could have been something more than that.
The problem I find is the feeling that although the goal is to prevent suicide, when watching the film we feel that what the character did was not wrong. Anyway, the film doesn't need to be a psychologist, but since it is explicitly produced for teenagers, I think the message is demotivating.
In general it is fine. I don't regret watching it at all.
Cruella (2021)
surprised me....
Emma Stone smash it, it was a great choice. I think that the movie is not related with the classic disney film. So i think that they put "Cruella" as the title just to call the atention.
For me it could be shorter, but time is not something that detracts too much from it, it's not get boring. I think that the end was quite predictable. For a disney movie from which I expected absolutely nothing, the shots and photography were very good. The characters make sense in themselves although they dont generate too much empathy.
Im not an english speaker so sorry if i made mistakes.
The Da Vinci Code (2006)
these reviews are stupid
At first, im not an english speaker so sorry if i make mistakes.
I have to clarify that my rating it's an 8/10 because i feel that the performances are no bad, but they could be better. I didn't read the book, but i think it's basic knowledge that MOVIES AND BOOKS ARE FICTION, i don't watch a movie for learn something, sorry but that's from a 10 years old, so if you're criticizing the film for not being fully in line with reality you're missing some things.
The only flaw I find is that an old man after being shot cannot move, write those clues and draw the star on his chest.
The movie is entertaining so it fulfills its promise. The shots of the suspense scenes are well done and transmit, which is the most important thing. The characters are good, they are not the best I saw, but they are concise. I liked that they didn't get carried away with the cliché of the main characters falling in love and that there is a closed second ending.
I loved this movie, it keeps me focus for the 2,5 hours.
