A Small Light (2023)

It's not claiming to be accurate

Firstly, many reviewers here complaining of inaccuracies. Each episode opens with the fact that it is inspired by a true story. Some characters, locations etc are made up. Yes, 99% of this is in English. Which is something done in order to reach a wider audience.

Don't let the reviews of those upset who did not read the disclaimer put you off this amazing story, loosely based on Miep Gies and what her and her colleagues done to help Jewish people being slaughtered worse than animals. That is the atrocity, not the fact that Miep in A Small Light liked the odd tipple.

Bel Powley is a power house, and the rest of the case absolutely shone.

Excellent View of Journalism and LA

Don't let the fact Bob is now Zoey stop you from watching this like it has for some. Bob and wife Marika were top of their game in the 80s and 90s, filming news as it happened, and once they got into a helicopter it was a whole new ball game. They were there for Ceritos crash, LA Riots and OJ Simpson. I'd love to know what sort of money they got for this footage.

Bob is rough, the way he treats his wife, I'm surprised she didn't throw him out the helicopter, but a very determined journalist. Amazing footage of some unmemorable moments.

Bob appears alot more chilled out these days, and has transitioned into female Zoey. No longer married to Marika, but gosh what a power couple.

Easy entertainment

Some of you reviewers are taking this far too seriously. Its an easy 20 minute fun watch to fill in some time. If you want easy laughs, there is nothing wrong with this.

Worth the wait

I've read the book. Unlike many others here, I didn't expect the movie to be able to cover off everything in said book! Despite reading the book, this had me on the edge of my seat, I haven't seen a movie this suspenseful in a while. Amy Adams makes it of course, and the way it was shot is amazing. Would make a great play also.

#AnneFrank - Parallel Stories (2019)

I think the girl wandering about and hash tagging is their way of trying to get a younger audience? Helen Mirran was I guess used to join Anne Frank's story, with the survivors. Just unnecessary and drew your attention away from the survivors stories.

The Passage (2019)

Enjoyable

Enjoying the series although very different to the books. These books are absolute epic stories, heavy on character building and background. Whilst it would be great for the show to be like the books, there just isn't enough time to tell them in less than a couple decades! I also enjoy not knowing what's coming, good to have a few surprises. I am sure I will continue to enjoy the show and can only hope we get all 3 books made into the tv show.
