Merry Textmas (2022)
Just was unwatchable for me
I tried..I really tried to finish this movie but I just couldn't get into it. It's not often that I find one of these Christmas movies that I just can't finish, I like watching them and I'm usually able to at least finish the ones that aren't that good. However, this one..I just couldn't do it. The main female character gabby, was just not likable. It is a slightly different plot from other lifetime Christmas movies; it has the same overall falling in love theme, just a different execution. As other people said, if you don't know Spanish, the subtitles can be difficult to read as they are small and written differently that other subtitles or captions. Overall, this just not a good movie, imo.
A Kiss Before Christmas (2021)
Such a lovely, sweet movie!
This was such a lovely and sweet movie. It was also nice to see Teri Hatcher and James Denton reunited in this movie (I used to love Desperate Housewives). I like watching most hallmark Christmas movies...whether they're good or not is another story! However, this one was good from beginning to end. It has a nice message about the importance of family and making time for loved ones and other people as well. It wasn't a typical they meet and fall in love within three days Christmas movie, which made it that much better and easier to believe, even with the whole Christmas wish magic. This is a great movie to watch, I would recommend it! Definitely not a waste of time like other holiday movies and it's easy to watch through the entirety of the movie.
Christmas Cupid (2010)
Not good....almost completely unwatchable
The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one was because of Chad Michael Murray; I love him and he has been in some pretty cute, sweet, and good Christmas movies. This movie, however.....horrible. I could not find the strength to finish watching it and I have sat through some pretty lousy movies before. The characters are ridiculous. The lead character, Sloan is a textbook type shallow, trashy, selfish unlikable person. The plot is the typical "modern" Christmas Carol, but this movie makes it seem so passé. The acting was horrible and you can deduce what is going to happen within the first 10 minutes. Anyway, overall, this was a terrible movie, imo. I couldn't even finish it. I feel badly that CMM had to be part of this atrocity because he has been in other decent Christmas movies.
Angel of Christmas (2015)
Cute and sweet Christmas movie
I thought this movie was so sweet. It is a little different from the typical hallmark or lifetime movie (same basic plot). Some reviewers go on about how ugly the angel was or whatnot or how the female lead could afford the apartment or this or that; really...it's not that deep. This is a movie worth watching, in my opinion. It is better than most of the other movies. Like I said, some of the other reviews get into things way too deep...it's just meant to be a heart warming Christmas story about "true love"; however, at the end of the day, it is a movie and so of course there's going to be "movie magic" about how characters were able to get here or there in a timely manner. Just watch the movie for the sake of a lovely Christmas story (especially if you love the Christmas movies like I do) and you should be able to enjoy it.
Once Upon a Main Street (2020)
Meh...
This movie is okay, I suppose. Ryan McPartlin is partly why I gave it 4 stars and not less. I cannot stand Vanessa Lachey's character, it makes the movie difficult to watch. She plays such a condescending little turd in this. Anyway, I usually like most of the cheesy Lifetime Christmas movies, and this one is the typical "bitter to sweet" holiday movie. It would be better with a different female lead or maybe she didn't act like a total jackass the entire movie, it would be easier to watch. I feel bad for people that have to deal with other people that act like this in real life. I know I'd never be able to be around someone like that.
Angels and Ornaments (2014)
Such a sweet, loving Christmas movie
This movie is just so sweet and heartfelt!! It's a wonderful Christmas movie, I really don't have anything bad to say about it bc it was a cute movie to watch!
Love Triangle Nightmare (2022)
If you want to learn how to NOT act, this is for you.
First, I'll say that I usually like more lifetime movies than not; and I also know the acting is usually subpar. However, this movie.....I've never seen such terrible, forced, bland, dry acting from every actor before! This was almost unwatchable bc of that. The actors seemed like they were at first audition or something. Just unbelievable! Other than that, the plot was a typical lifetime drama but worse. The whole movie in general was just a dud. If you want to learn how to not act then that is probably the only reason I'd suggest this.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
So disappointing...not for Sopranos fans!!
This movie was incredibly disappointing. It should not have been made.. they just used the Sopranos show to hype up a movie so more people would watch it; only to be beyond disappointed with the show. I'd love to know what actual relevance it has to the show? This show was such a disgrace. How can you do this to one of the best shows of all time? It's ridiculous, everyone is always trying to appease the loud minority anymore at the cost of others. Such a disgrace, I'd even go as far as saying it's pathetic, the movie was horrible and offending and failed on every level. They portray Italians as bad people, as an Italian, it's offending.
The Wrong Man (2017)
Typical "The Wring" movie..
This is a typical "the wrong" type movie. It's not awful, but it's not that good either. I like watching these movies even if their bad for some reason-sometimes I wonder why. The scene where Kim and Joey decide to dry hump and ultimately have sex right outside the grandfather's room after they just laid him down is far from sexy, that was kind of disturbing that the director thought that was necessary. Anyway, same story...woman falls for man within record time...man is bad news. It's astonishing how these people claim to fall in love literally within days.
The Wrong Cheerleader Coach (2020)
The wrong glasses...mixed with horrible acting
Most of the "wrong" movies are essentially the same, but I like most of them (although they're all kind of cheesy). This movie, however, was horrible. As most of the reviews have said, Corin Nemec's character's never ending battle with the reading glasses is crazy! It's actually so ridiculous, it's almost funny to watch. They also made his character seems like a twitchy little goofball but he ended up looking like a smacked a**. The bean pole cheerleading coach is a horrible actor and is in desperate need of some high calorie foods. Vivica A. Fox plays the same character as always in these movies but is probably the only one that doesn't totally bomb. Corin isn't this bad on other movies, but between the glasses and the bad acting from the other actors, even he contributes to the disaster the called "the wrong cheerleading coach".
The Wrong High School Sweetheart (2022)
Not a good one
I usually like "the wrong" movies, although most of them are cheesy/silly and they're all basically the same. However, this one was not good. The acting, especially by 'Danny' and 'Dani' was awful. The faces that the man playing Danny makes, are incredibly irritating...bud..it's not working for you, just stop. The costume person must have been out of their mind bc Dani's outfits were absolutely bogus; does anyone dress like that-let alone a professional in then workplace. Anyway, the only reason I gave this a 3 star and not 1 star rating is because of Tracy Nelson and Eric Roberts. If you think the other "wrong" movies are bad, this will definitely be unwatchable!
Killer Advice (2021)
Not worth watching..
I love Lifetime movies-usually even the lousier ones (which is many of them). But this..this was hard to watch. The acting is so poor, it's like they're not even trying. Meredith Thomas's voice is so annoying that it's actually distracting and for me, that makes the movie even more difficult to watch..her voice is like nails on a chalkboard...idk if that's just me or what. Anyway, this is a flop for me.
The Flight Before Christmas (2015)
Yikes..cute idea, awful female lead
I'll start by saying, the only reason I watched this atrocity as long as I did was because of Ryan McPartlin; I admire him and the other Lifetime Christmas movies he's in are nice. How the female lead was cast for this movie, I don't think I will ever understand. She actually makes the movie difficult to watch. Her general prickly, rude nature just makes her seem like a turd to be around. It's hard to believe someone as handsome as Ryan McPartlin would fall for someone that not only looks like that, but also is just an all around sour personality. If there was a different female lead, the movie would have been much better..it's a shame bc she does so bad it almost makes you not want to finish the movie but the other actors (Ryan McPartlin, the married couple that own the inn, and others) actually aren't too bad. If the casting was more appropriate for a Christmas romance movie, it would have been much better; 4 stars is actually generous but since the other actors weren't as horrible as the female lead, that gives the movie a couple "extra" stars.
The Holiday Train (2021)
A cute Christmas movie
This movie was pretty good. I love watching Lifetime Christmas movies; most of them are pretty similar...some are unbearable to even watch.. The basic plot of the movie is the same overall concept as the other Christmas movies on Lifetime (as expected), but it has an all around different 'theme' (for lack of a better word). The acting is better in this movie than most other Lifetime Christmas. All in all, it's a cute and heartfelt movie to watch-it is worth watching, in my opinion.
Christmas Inn Farmstead (2020)
Meh..not the best
This movie wasn't anything to rave about. The chemistry between the two leads was nothing to be desired and the acting was lousy. The ending was pretty okay but doesn't make up for the rest of the movie. It's unreal how awkward the two main characters were, no effort was given and the man was pretty attractive so it shouldn't have been too difficult to act as if you're interested in him. Anyway, not one of the best lifetime Christmas movies; it was pretty disappointing.
Always and Forever Christmas (2019)
Not too good
The acting (especially from the female lead) makes this movie almost unwatchable. It seems like she gives no effort to try and act the part; it makes for awkward interactions between her and other actors, especially the male lead. She was just incredibly dull and it makes it difficult to get interested. I was stuck wondering "why would anyone even be interested in a person who behaves like this". Beth Broderick was lovely and did help make the movie not a complete dud. It could have had potential if casting was chose properly..the lousy acting seems to be what really did it in for me.
Sidelined (2018)
Good Lifetime movie
I enjoy watching most (or many) Lifetime movies and LMN, regardless if they're good or not so good (granted, some are so bad that you seriously cannot fathom watching any longer). This movie is actually pretty decent; I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. Perhaps, some people haven't seen how bad a lot of the "returning" Lifetime actors are that get bounced around from movie to movie and they have yet to discover how to act. The acting in this movie was pretty good, especially for a Lifetime movie. The plot was decent. Overall, it is a good movie and worth watching. I don't know why the movie has so many bad reviews, it's really not that bad.
The Wrong Friend (2018)
The Wrong Movie
This movie is hard to watch. The acting is completely bogus and awful, clearly the director and casting director are just as awful as the actors at their jobs. It seriously makes it difficult to watch this movie. I like Lifetime movies most of the time, even when their mediocre/cheesy, but this....this takes things to a new level of terrible. Unless you want to take notes on how not to act, don't bother with this one.
Deadly Influencer (2019)
Bad acting and just lame
The main actor (the girl that plays Skyler) is a horrible actor and I was trying to figure out why she talked the way she did the entire movie. It's incredibly distracting. Anyway, overall not a good movie.
Impropriety (2021)
Just a terrible movie all around
This is just a horrible movie all around. The acting is atrocious; whoever did the casting for this movie did a horrible job bc the main character/actor is not a good fit for this movie (off topic, the woman's voice makes my skin crawl). It is actually almost unwatchable. No one would actually behave this way and if someone's family or children was threatened/watched/stalked, I would imagine more measures would be taken than what happened in this headache of a "movie". It's a waste of time; if you want to wonder what horrible casting/acting looks like then watch this one.
Burning Lies (2021)
Just not good
Okay..I understand it's a Lifetime movie and they don't have the best fun funding or whatnot but this was almost unwatchable. I love watching most Lifetime movies, even if they're not the best but this one is another story. The acting is far from impressive...the graphics are actually so terrible that it was hilarious! It's like the actors in this movie knew it was going to be awful and just didn't bother trying. Don't even waste your time.
The Wrong Housesitter (2020)
Awful acting
I love Lifetime movies, good and bad usually, but the acting in the movie-especially from the main character was nothing to be desired! Everything she said sounded so sarcastic and her voice is actually painful to listen to, it just made it too difficult to watch.
The Wrong Boy Next Door (2019)
Lame and dull topped off with awful acting
Now I'll start off by saying I love watching Lifetime movies, although most of them have actors with no actual acting skill. This movie, however, was actually difficult to watch; most of the "the wrong" movies are fun (for me, anyway) to watch. The lead actress in this movie made the already terrible acting among most of the actors even worse. Every scene in this movie, this girl was trying to portray herself as being the only woman that men would want, trying way too hard. If she focused more on actual acting, rather than whatever it was she was attempting to achieve, she may have a shot. The story line and movie was rather boring and dull, with no actual plot, other than the "wrong boy" being a weirdo. Anyway, not one to bother watching. On another note, am I the only one that thinks the lady that played the mother has the most annoying/ghastly voice!
