Old (2021)
A movie jumbled with quirks and flaws
Honestly, I never really knew why many people crap on this movie so much. Of course it has a cool idea, but the execution (in my opinion, of course), passable. It's not great, it's not poor, just...passable.
It has it's quirks, such as the stable pace, a legit impressive setting, the decent acting from time to time, wonderous cinematography, impressive sound design, and it has a kind of decent twist. Not a great twist (like the ones from The Sixth Sense, and The Eastrail 177 Trilogy), but certainly not a bad one.
But even I can agree that it does have it's flaws.
There are some hokey acting, that sometimes overshadows the good ones, the inconsistencies in the story are revealing. The script feels like an unfinished jigsaw puzzle, missing one or two crucial pieces, and the twist ending is, like I said before, decent, but it still leaves you asking you some more questions, than answering them.
Overall, M. Night Shyamalan's Old is not a great movie, heck, it's not even close to one of the best thrillers, or movies of the year, but, a solidly passable movie that's captivating enough to let you ask what will happen next.
The Predator (2018)
The Predator, the movie that ripped out the heart of the franchise
If there's one word to describe this movie, it would be BULLCRAP.
Shane Black's direction to this movie led the movie to a downward spiral of hate. Stupid story, idiotic characters, painfully horrible acting, a decent, yet bland soundtrack, incredibly awful jokes, and the CGI is just...oh man.
The worst part of this movie is it's portrayal of autism. Like is this movie SERIOUSLY saying that autistic people represent a next step to human evolution?! As a high-functioning autist, I STRONGLY disagree.
Overall, this movie just sucks, and I DO NOT recommend it at all.
The Loud House: Baby Steps/Brawl in the Family (2017)
Brawl to the Family, the messiest of the messy
I HATED that episode. Seeing Lincoln going through the trouble of trying to reconcile his sisters was painful. And it all started by the fact that Lori and Leni brought THE SAME DRESS! What the hell was that? And the ending where Lincoln going away solved the sisterly fight and him inadvertently started the fight again, did not help either.
I highly recommend anyone to skip this episode, because it's just bad.
The Loud House: Study Muffin/Homespun (2016)
A weird episode, and the other a good one.
Study Muffin was just...what? I saw the premise, and I expected a funny episode. And I was right. But it also felt cringe-worthy. The fact that many of the sisters (except for Lily) have a crush on Lincoln's tutor felt funny, yet weird. Even the younger ones had the crushes (they're underage, for Pete's sake!). The And the ending was hilarious, yet weird. Seeing Lincoln (and of course many of the classmates) falling in love with a teacher (who is as attractive as the tutor), felt cringe-worthy as well. Overall, I say that Study Muffin is the cringiest episode of the show, and if you cannot handle cringe, just skip this episode on your watchlist. Like really, after that, I nearly died from cringe.
But Homespun was not that. It was actually a great episode, with a decent premise, and a hilarious, yet wholesome storyline. I had a great time watching that episode. Way better than Study Muffin.
The Loud House: Hand-Me-Downer/Sleuth or Consequences (2016)
Sleuth of Consequences didn't see its own consequence
That episode sucked. It had made pretty much every sister an antagonist. (except of one sister in particular, I'm not gonna mention the name, to avoid spoilers) And the ending didn't help either. It just made the sisters condescending. Basically this episode is persuading us to hate the sisters, and it succeeded.
Overall, this episode is an incoherent mess. A pathetic excuse of an episode.
The Loud House: Kings of the Con (2019)
The worst special. It's just bad.
The special was decent, but it was the WORST special of the series. I loved the premise, but the result (the episode), became an incoherent mess. The jokes were flat, and some of the scenes were painful to watch, I watched all the way, hoping it will end, but the ending was actually the cherry-on-top of this gross sundae. The ending was so terrible, and unfair, I was completely desensitized. Overall, the premise was awesome, but the episode, itself, is so bad, it's just...bad.
The Loud House (2014)
One of Nickelodeon's greatest contributions to our televisions
I found this show to be really great and enjoyable. In fact, this show has become my ultimate favorite Nicktoon, and my favorite cartoon of all-time. It definitely deserves a spot on the line of successful Nicktoons. It has immensely likeable, wholesome, and hilarious characters, even the bad guys are legit funny to me, the episodes successfully balance on being between comical and heartwarming, and the animation style is one of the most impressive ones I've seen. And it's spin-off, The Casagrandes, also has likeable characters, and great episodes. I understand that some people think it's either overrated or just simply hate it. Sure, it had a bumpy start, and some of the episodes in various seasons are terrible (I skip them every time) and some of the character decisions are really stupid at times, but as it progresses, the show becomes more enjoyable and worth a watch. But I can, and always will respect other people's opinions about the show. You like what you like. You hate what you hate. We all have our own likes and dislikes. So, I can just stick to my opinion and not judge the others. But if you are looking for a fun cartoon to watch on your screen, this show is one of my biggest recommendations. Overall, I can say it out LOUD AND PROUD that The Loud House, and it's equally amazing spinoff is one of the greatest cartoons of the decade, and of course, of all time.
