33 & Beyond: The Royal Art of Freemasonry (2017)
Freemason propaganda and recruitment 'doc'
This is a 90 minute freemason propaganda and recruitment "documentary." It describes and explains freemasonry via interviews with freemasons. It comes off as a somewhat-informative advertisement for freemasonry, similar to what you might see produced for Transcendental Meditation or Scientology.
The Henchman's War (2012)
low budget gangster revenge film delivers
This is a solid gangster revenge film with decent performances and pacing despite its modest budget. There's nothing original here, but its a solid treatment of a classic story, and the familiar set pieces and dialog are delivered well enough to be endearing to those who are fans of the genre.
Like many low budget films, the acting varies, but none of the performances are poor enough to be laudable. Some of the charms of this movies are the familiar characters. Attire and details greatly lend to the performances and help define characters and their role in the story. Each character and line of dialog falls into familiarity in a positive way, as homage.
If you don't mind a low budget and are looking for a solid script in the organized crime genre, give this film a chance.
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
Possibly the best Superhero movie yet...
The Incredible Hulk is definitely the movie that stays truest to the comic book, while still paying homage to the television series. Edward Norton does well as always as Bruce Banner and Tim Roth does especially well as the overly-masculine, power-hungry mercenary that becomes The Abomination. The movie does not make the mistake of trying to tackle too much, keeps the love interest (in my thoughts the weakest point) in the background, and boasts the best action scenes in any superhero movie, ending with the spectacular brawl between The Hulk and The Abomination. This movie has everything, and it mixes it together well for the most polished superhero movie ever.
