Jingle Bell Bride (2020)
Fell Flat
The plot was decent. I really wanted to love the movie since the leads were gorgeous and I thought the story was going somewhere. The dilemma of the special flowers for a high profile wedding made sense. The friction at the workplace was expected. The setting was beautiful. But there was little chemistry between the leads. It felt awkward. The expected tension was not significant to keep a viewer engaged. I expected more from the ending. It simply fell flat.
Christmas Town (2019)
Loves Most of It
This is my first time reviewing a movie. I feel this strongly about this movie. Ha!
I'm a loyal Hallmark Movie viewer. I appreciate the sweet, romantic storylines. This is my favorite CCB movie. She's not my favorite actress, but this movie is less cheesy and more relatable than most.
All parts of the movie I could get into and forgive a few flaws; however, the adoption story needed more work. That's just not how adoption works. For instance, they could at least have given her a permanent address, or increase the span of time passed. They could have even touched on the highs and lows of the adoption process. If all of this was not possible, they could have ended the movie with them announcing they want to adopt him together. The adoption piece just didn't work in this movie. Otherwise, it's a sweet movie.
