Tell Me Lies (2022)
Good start but I don't know...
I just finished watching the first episode and so far so good. I think Lucy's character is great and the actress portays it well. However, I don't think Stephens character is that well played. His character is a little weird and not in the mysterious way. I don't think he or Lucy has no chemistry whatsoever and I don't think the actor who plays Stephen is that great looking himself. There's just something about him that I don't like. I wish he was more mysterious. The loss of one of the room-mates does make it a better story line and since its the first episode, I'm going to give it a go. I'm hoping it goes get better but I guess we'll have to see.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (2022)
Honestly, better than the original!
I hated PLL towards the end, it got so confusing and there were so many mysteries upon mysterious that didn't make sense and most of them were never cleared up. Don't get me started on how A stole Emily's egg and implanted it into Allison. So stupid!
This show clearly triumphs the original and I feel like this should have been the original PLL story. It was a way better storyline. Love how the dates and times lined up to the screen, love the slasher flick theme and when the girls received the texts from A, they didn't look so obviously confused and scared like the original cast was!
My only con to this was I wish the highschool in original sin looked abit nicer, then again, they could have been going with the dingy look to make it look creepier. I also wish there was a little more sexy times haha, but that's just me, One of the best teen slasher shows I've seen in a while. This is better than scream series!
Can't wait for next season!!
Sex Appeal (2022)
I like it until the end!
A teen romance comedy that kind of reminded me of the 'to do list' (which was alot more crude). This film was humorous and fun. I really like when any pleasure sort of scene turned into an adaptation so we can imagine what is happening.
The ending really annoyed me though. Larson admitted he was in love with Avery all these years, soon after she realised she was also in love with him but when she declared her love for him, he rejected her and they didn't even get together and he went with someone else? Really surprised and did not see that coming. Other than that, I enjoyed it.
The Sex Lives of College Girls (2021)
I seriously LOVE this show!
It's the right amount of comedy, drama and romance. It's been a long time since I found a show this good. The storyline is relatable as well as the diverse characters. Bella is hilarious, she's so funny. Lila and Willa are my soul spirits! Definitely a great show to watch! I cannot wait for season 2!
P. S It was the highlight to see Gavin Leatherwood's butt!
One of Us Is Lying (2021)
Meh
Cliche storyline. Judgy nerdy girl who is trying to be perfect, but she's not. She falls in love with the bad boy(which I didn't mind the character.) But they had no chemistry! The princess who actually smart but doubts herself, but manages to reinvent herself after everyone turns on her but then goes back to her old self because she doesn't know any better
Cooper was okay but I don't understand why being gay and trying out for major league baseball is bad? We live in 2021..
Jake was actually a good character until the end though. Simon deserved to die, he was so annoying and self righteous. Like, who do you think you are? God? I was glad he was gone. Horrible person.
All in all, the series started off interesting then fell short quick. Most of the characters took so long to realise that they were being set up and didn't believe eachother. Made dumb choices when trying to figure out who is behind it all and it was just messy. Blamed everyone and anyone. The ending was stupid. Why kill off Jake? Now they have to hide that too? Give me a break!
TJ was my favourite, he deserved so much better...
La Venganza de las Juanas (2021)
I really liked it! Worth watching!
I watched this on Netflix and it was really intriguing. The storyline was different to what I've ever watched before. If you like drama and mystery, this is def a watch!
One thing, which is not a spoiler. If you decide to watch this, even though it's season 1 of 19 episodes, it seems to be two seasons. After episode 9, you'll know what I mean.
