Caligola (1979)
When you own the world, darkness reigns.
"Caligula's" graphic content and subject matter may be to intense for some to handle, but there is no denying that when it comes down to the art of emotional filmmaking, "Caligula" is a masterful achievement that'll leave you in awe!
Resident Evil 3 (2020)
A missed opportunity.
"Resident Evil 3" feels like a very rushed game. The graphics are worse than the two previous games, dialogue feels choppy, and the story is close to nothing. It's, sadly, just as silly and ridiculous as you'd expect. And now I'm just hoping that the remake of "Resident Evil 4" is gonna be better than this one.
The Elephant Man (1980)
"I am not an animal!"
David Lynch's surrealist style doesn't always mix well with the film's emotional drama, but John Hurt's powerful performance and the heartbreaking subject matter concludes "The Elephant Man" to be one of David Lynch's most human film's!
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice (2017)
A journey through darkness.
The breathtaking graphics and intriguing story, alone, make "Senua's Sacrifice" worth playing, even though the game's few to many frustrating puzzles may break the immersion every now and then.
Melancholia (2011)
It's the end, and that's okay.
Von Trier's writing and the cast's powerful performances make "Melancholia" not only an emotionally powerful film, but also an important one.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
It's always dark at the end of the tunnel.
Despite some gritty, well-acted performances, "The Devil All the Time" is such a harrowing and depressing experience, it drains almost all enjoyment from the film.
Ich seh, Ich seh (2014)
This lullaby isn't to bright.
Throughout the coarse of the film, "Goodnight Mommy" transcends It's horror roots and reveals itself, truly, as an emotionally brutal drama.
Looper (2012)
The end of a cycle.
Uneven to an extent but engrossing none-the-less; "Looper" is original, smart, and surprisingly emotional, rendering it, without a doubt, a great film of the sci/fi genre!
