A Dog's Way Home (2019)
Dreadful stuff
Ashley Judd should know better and that pro military thing at the end was laughable.
Poor dog will never live this down.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Proper filmmaking
Brilliant acting, superb storytelling and great cinematography.
Halloween (2018)
Brilliant and nostalgic
The best Halloween film since 1978. Plenty of tension and gore and Jamie Lee Curtis is brilliant.
Gavin & Stacey (2007)
Good but forgettable
I never understood the fuss about this when it was first aired but got suckered in to watching the 2019 Christmas special. That in itself was awful but I've revisited all episodes this year. When it's funny, it's truly hilarious but it's not consistent at all. Rob Brydon and James Corden are the standout performers.
Honour (2020)
A wasted opportunity
This should have been a much more in depth 5 parter. It was also let down by poor acting from Keeley Hawes and the younger blonde detective, who was excellent in Detectorists.
