The School for Good and Evil (2022)
Fun movie
I thought this movie was fantastic! Until I actually saw it, I had no idea that it was a part of a book series at all. What, exactly, did those who claim this movie is terrible find so offensive about it? It wasn't based in reality, was it? Two young women locked lips?
Let me clarify something for you: the movie or book in question is a FANTASY work, and as such, it is not intended to be realistic in any manner. It was a "true loves kiss," which means it was shared between two people who were friends and loved each other deeply. The kiss should not be interpreted as having any sexual overtones.
If you are looking for a movie that focuses on friendship, I strongly suggest watching this one. Very fun movie.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin (2022)
It's not a 10, but it's definitely not a 1 either.
This show is around a 7 or 6. This show has NOTHING to do with any of the story lines as this story line is happening at the same time as the OG.
The cast is very diverse, a little bit of everything.
For those who are comparing the previous shows, and all that. There is no comparison, you can't compare a show that is happening at the same time as the other show.
This show caters to an older audience, that audience is the same audience that has now grown up from the OG PLL.
It's on HBO, not Disney anymore. So you will hear curse words, nudity, drug use, blood, etc. It hits more of a slasher film, than anything. The new A is terrifying, whoever they are.
Give the show a chance. I think it has potential.
Érase una vez... pero ya no (2022)
Adult Version of a Quasi Love Story
For those who have written how the show is confusing, you obviously don't understand Spanish Humor. This show is quirky, funny, and enchanting.
I never truly write any reviews but I come to defend a show that doesn't need it, the reviews are based on 'it's confusing' 'it doesn't go anywhere' you are either not watching the show or just wanting something else from this show. It's a love story, period. It goes from the 'past to the present' it shows you how everything came to be, what's so confusing?
If you didn't get your happy ending, it's simply because they want a season 2, 3, etc. Or it's just that...we don't always get a happy ending.
I recommend the show, 100%, it's inclusive of everyone as the Spanish usually do. Black, White, Gay, Straight, Trans, a little of everything.
