The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
NOT AWESOME...BUT GOOD...WAY BETTER THAN THE SECOND
Although I'll always firmly adhere that the first film is a category of it's own, the third film was not NEARLY as bad as I'd heard......if you're willing to excuse...
The first BORING twenty minutes of the film... The stotic and useless demise of Trinity. All the holes opened by the second film, all the useless dialogue that never got resolved...
The movie's end is fine...but emotionally dry...or fake...or something... ...not a GREAT film... but certainly not a HIGHLANDER 2.
Dreamcatcher (2003)
I walked out and got my $ back....
With the Matrix Animation at the lead of this 'TURD' ...Movie managers were told that there would be no refunds or Passes given as comphensation for wasting our precious time watching this movie.
I thought this movie was convuluted and full of every regurgitated idea Stephen King has ever had that I INSISTED for my money back...
I got it...
To the director, the writer, and Mr. King....
Go see some lower budget movies like The Ring, Blair Witch, the Others, Signs, and the Sixth Sense...Hell!...see the Shining Again! ...this reminds my of the excrement called "Rose Red"...
Daredevil (2003)
FINALLY, A REAL COMIC MOVIE!
Except the playground scene, and the waste of Kingpin's character...
they got it right!
Typically, I vote no to Ben A. , but here he did his homework and should be applauded....
See it again!
Rose Red (2002)
Worst than 'The Haunting'. Plain BAD.
In every way does this film play on cliches'. It is ABSOLUTELY not scary and the dialogue and acting are horrid.
Being a big fan of ghost stories, I'm sad to say, Rose Red is one of the all time worst.
Spider-Man (2002)
Maybe Shaky...but STRONG!
Before I start...I hated Batman....thought X-men was just okay. and I'm a HUGE comic fan.
with that said...
Spider-man was a GREAT comic to movie adaptation. It's not made for fans alone, but everyone who might associate with life and regrets. I'll keep my views short... Whereas, I heard the effects were shabby and the story was amazing... this is only slightly true. Spider-man's look was greatly acceptable, the story wonderful, BUT THE DIALOG (in places...especially between Peter and MaryJane) GOD awful. Would the person who wrote those lines actually say them?!?! If so, no wonder they're a hermit.
The fight scenes we're ALL the X-men should have been- visual and personal.
My last comment is on the score. Mr. Elfman- can you resell the same tired melodies one more time? Please, retire to dramas...
Overall, I loved it... if all us comic fans excepted Burton's satire called 'Batman' then we should all rejoice at what Raimi has handed us.
Thank You...
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)
She looks great.. but absolutely NOTHING else...
Two words:
SKIP IT! This film, once again, proves Hollywood thinks people will continue buying all look and no substance.
But yes, it did look good...
