Chaal Jeevi Laiye (2019)
Beautiful roller coaster with leaves you tearful but happy :)
I recently had the opportunity to view this Gujarati film that was released three years ago, and I must say that it was well worth the wait. The film was well directed and delivered a powerful message that left a lasting impact on me. The performances by the cast were truly touching and added depth to the film's overall impact.
The film's storyline was beautifully crafted, highlighting important themes that prompt the viewer to think about how they live their life. The director's skilled execution of the narrative succeeded in drawing the audience into the world of the characters, making it a captivating experience from start to finish.
The performances by the actors were noteworthy and demonstrated their ability to convey emotions that resonated with the audience. Siddharth, Yash and Arohi all were able to bring a unique perspective to their role, which added depth to the overall story. Their performances were so moving that they left a lasting impression on me long after the film had ended.
The film's cinematography was also noteworthy, as the scenic shots of Uttarakhand perfectly captured the essence of the story, adding to its visual appeal. The music Chand ne kaho further enhanced the experience, making it a truly immersive one.
Overall, I would highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys thought-provoking cinema that is both fun, engaging and visually stunning. It is a powerful work of art that will leave you thinking about the important themes it presents long after the credits have rolled.
Aum Mangalam Singlem (2022)
Spotless beautiful Gujarati Romance
Finally saw Aum mangalam yesterday. Songs and background score are too good for a regional movie. Could remember Rahman for a while . 2nd half very moving and exquisitely shot. First a bit slow but not bad either.
Gujarati movies are creating new standards and this is one such. A romantic film which touches your heart with its relatability while not being cliche. The sets, screenplay, cinematography and dialogues are best among lately seen in Gujarati movies. Once again music with swipe you off your feet and is so hummable. Can become a earworm for sure. Is on my playlist in repeat mode since long.
Few things that may be avoided. The almost mandatory scenes of friends having a drinks night can be skipped as they are now appearing in every 2nd new Gujarati movie. Malhar and Aarohi were natural actors, though Malhar can drop his TM accent sometimes. Him speaking normally is a much better version of him.
Must watch for every young at heart Gujarati.
