Game of Thrones: Baelor (2011)
Absolutely incredible
I'm behind on Game of thrones, having just started watching. I know the ending is very bad but I also know the first 5-6 seasons are some of the best television ever put to screen, and this is the first truly legendary episode of television. Of course the death of Ned Stark is the headliner, but it's the way that all the characters interact and truly get to shine that makes this episode one of the best episodes of television I have ever seen. Up there with Ozymandias and the view from halfway down from BoJack Horseman. I can't wait to keep watching and see where this show goes. I have never read the books so I'm going in not knowing a lot.
Succession: With Open Eyes (2023)
Just wow
What more is there to say that hasn't already been said? Succession is a once in a generation show. I was too young for breaking bad or mad men, and born at the end of the run of the sopranos, so this and better call Saul are my prestige dramas. Both went out on a high, and my life is forever changed by both of these shows. The fact that succession took something that should be incredibly boring, a ridiculously rich business family, and made it so compelling tells me one thing, that studios need to pay writers what they are worth because without the perfect writing, succession isn't half the show it ended up being. Congratulations to everyone for making a show that will forever be a part of television history.
Succession: Connor's Wedding (2023)
What the actual hell
I did not see this coming whatsoever. The way that not only the episode description but even the beginning of the episode gives us no sign of this whatsoever. I know that he had been having health scares in both the pilot and midway through season three but I never thought that this would be not only the time but the way he would go out. Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, and Sarah Snook have already won the Emmy, there's no point in even having other nominees. I can't believe they killed him so soon into the season. I was thinking maybe in episode seven or eight or even the series finale, but not episode three. Long live the legend of Logan Roy.
Shrinking: Fortress of Solitude (2023)
What an episode of television and a great start to the show as a whole
This show has just blown me away so far. Jason Segel could win the Emmy, Bill Lawerence is maybe the greatest tv creator of all time, every character already feels so flushed out in only 2 episodes. I do not know if I can yet if this is better than Ted Lasso, but god damn Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein. Apple TV+ might genuinely be the best streaming service in terms of television and it does not seem particularly close. Cannot wait to watch the rest of the series. If the rest of the season is as good as these first two episodes, Bill Lawrence will go down as the greatest TV creator of all time.
Succession: The Disruption (2021)
What an episode
The first two episodes of this season were great, but this just took it to another level. I think that it could end up being the best season yet and maybe one of the best TV season ever.
The Newsroom: Red Team III (2013)
Best episode so far
The conference room scene is so Sorkin it's crazy. This show might be the best thing Sorkin has written and that includes the social network and the West Wing.
Desperate Housewives: Pilot (2004)
Really good pilot
I've watched a lot of shows so I've watched a lot of pilots. This is one of the best. Everything seems so perfect, but you never know what could be hiding below the surface.
High School Musical: The Musical - The Series: The Field Trip (2021)
The greatest episode in Television history
Some might say the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones, or Ozymandias from Breaking Bad are the greatest Television episode of all time. I say that it is this. June 25, 2021. The day television changed forever. Five words: Zach stole the Beast Mask. Also the dance battle. They also wrote in Drivers License. Every word of this episode is pure perfection. Every element of acting is perfect. I wish I could give this episode a 1000/10. I'll create 10 different accounts just to rate this episode. The dancing scene is the best scene like this since the acapella battle from pitch perfect 1. Pure PERFECTION. Also Howie as North Highs beast is the greatest plot twist in cinematic history. M. Night Shamalayan could never. NINA?!?!?!
The Newsroom: We Just Decided To (2012)
Wow
I was half paying attention to this show. I had found it on HBO Max and decided to watch it. I knew it was Sorkin so it obviously has the quick dialogue and lots of it. But once they bring Will up to speed about the oil spill. Just wow.
Six Feet Under: Pilot (2001)
Maybe the best pilot I have ever seen
I have watched a whole lot of pilots. This is absolutely one of the best. The car crash at the beginning, the familial dynamics, just absolutely phenomenal. Endlessly rewatchable.
Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
Pretty good
I think this movie has great visuals and animation but it sort of falls flat on writing and characters. I think the movies biggest mistake was that they had Kelly Marie Tran and Awkafina play off each other, which just doesn't work. Awkafina is too funny and Kelly Marie Tran doesn't know what to do with that.
Minari (2020)
Magnificent
I am speechless. I'm going back and watching all the best picture nominees and this movie was amazing. The acting, writing, directing, sound design all of it. This is absolutely one of the best movies I've ever seen. I'd give it an 11/10 if I could.
Succession: Dundee (2019)
I don't knew what to say
All I'll say is this, L to the OG, dude be the OG, AN he's playin.
Tom and Grant (2018)
So funny
One of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. I loved Tom Cavanaugh in Scrubs and I loved Grant Gustin on glee. This is them both at their comedic best. I watched it on the app Ficto for free.
Succession: Hunting (2019)
So good
This shows just keeps getting better and better. The boar on the floor scene along with everything else was phenomenal. It was hilarious, tense, and all around amazing. I can't say enough great things about succession. I need season three now.
Entourage: Welcome to the Jungle (2007)
Maybe the best TV episode ever
I love the documentary style and all of the interviews are great. I love how Nicky Rubinstein shows up and is like "so I got arrested for having cocaine". One of the most perfect comedic scenes ever. Infinitely rewatchable episodes of TV ever.
Succession: Which Side Are You On? (2018)
What an Episode
This is one of the greatest episodes of television I've ever seen. The masterful use of music and the cutting between everyone voting and Kendall racing to make it to the vote is one of the greatest TV scenes I have ever seen.
Entourage: One Day in the Valley (2006)
Amazing
How does one make an episode this perfect. The scene in the movie theater after the blackout is top tier and I will fight someone who doesn't think Johnny Drama is the best part of the entourage
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004)
So good
I finally got around to watching this movie and it's amazing. I love Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller and this movie is them at their comedic best
Scrubs: My Finale: Part 2 (2009)
The best finale ever
I am a new scrubs fan, I have seen many tv shows, some with great finales, nothing tops this. Season 9 does not exist. The montage at the end makes me cry like no show ever has. God damn it BIll Lawrence, that is amazing
Scrubs: My Screwup (2004)
Best episode of scrubs
This is not only the best episode of scrubs, but one of the best episodes of TV I've ever seen. The comeback of Ben is great, but also the best ending of scrubs with the reveal that Cox was imagining Ben the whole time and they were really at Ben's funeral. Edge of my seat 10/10
Scrubs (2001)
The most underrated sitcom
I found this show on Hulu during quarantine. I was watching many other shows too so I forgot about it. I just came back to it and oh my god it is so good. It's amazing how they're able to go from silly to serious and back to silly in seconds. Recommend to anyone
