Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes (2019)
Evil Grin
Very well done documentary series.
I still feel life imprisonment in a maximum security in isolation cell is worse than death penalty. What I mean by worse.. is better punishment for diabolic criminals.
Dark (2017)
Bumped into my older self...
... and told me to write this review...
Loved seasons 1 and 2 more than season 3, but this is really an excellent series!
The casting was very good, as pointed out by other reviews. Actors for the younger and the older versions of a character really resembled each other!
One needs to keep track of the characters and relationships from the start. Or be lost...
I loved the penultimate episode. It felt like I was in a time machine gone berserk; kicking me to various years.
And I will never forget that suspenseful score...
The Professor and the Madman (2019)
Approved...
... and I didn't need a dictionary nor the word's etymology to do it for this movie.
Brilliant performances from both Penn and Gibson as the leads and from Marsan and Dormer in supporting roles.
And the subject. It was a delight to know how good old dictionary came about!
A pretty good watch overall.
You Should Have Left (2020)
I didn't leave...
Nor regret staying through the whole movie. The movie was ok, not bad, not great. And good to watch Kevin Bacon again.
I see elements of Timecrimes and The Shining here.
It had enough of suspense and still good enough for me to recommend this to suspense movie fans. But it felt like it could have been more.
Agatha and the Truth of Murder (2018)
Agatha and her little grey cells...
I'm a huge fan of Agatha Christie. And I can clearly remember the book (thanks to my high school library for having it) that made me a fan.. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.. No, not Peter Ackroyd...
And I've read a lot of her books...
Now for the movie... Have to understand that while a real event in Agatha Christie's life was referred to, this is still fiction. The plot, while not too great, was really still enjoyable. And it was entertaining to watch the great creator of Poirot and Marple to be the one in action herself!
