Couldn't pick a better ending to the series!
1 October 2006
The Titans are back, and this time they're headed to Tokyo on the trail of a villain called Brushogun. *Beast Boy- VACATION WHOOO! Robin- WE'RE NOT ON VACATION! Heroes don't take vacations, you nOOb!* But after discovering that Brushogun turns out to be a myth it turns into a vacation anyway. Beast Boy runs off after a cute Japanese school girl, Cyborg goes to the All-You-Can-Eat buffet, Raven wanders off to find something to read, and Robin and Starfire go off and do stuff. Alls well until they're attacked by Brushogun's henchmen (each resembling a character from another show, like Kaonashi from Spirited Away and AstroBoy) and Robin ends up in jail! *gasp* Well that's what he gets for going overboard. Anyway, so now he's a fugitive and he has to steal this guy's clothes for a disguise (and might I add he looks VERY hot in this new getup :D) and off he goes to seek out information about Brushogun. After a very exciting motorcycle chase, a close shave with the Tokyo Troopers, and a romantic moment with Starfire, Robin meets up with his friends to track down Brushogun and take him out!

I was overjoyed that this movie finally answered the number one question that I wanted it to: "Will Starfire and Robin ever get together?" The answer: WATCH THE MOVIE AND SEE! :) Apart from that, the music score was awesome and I loved the beginning credits when they're packing and when they're flying to Tokyo (Aqualad appears briefly! ^-^) Some fans may not appreciate it because of some of the weaker aspects, but if you overlook those you've got a great movie. I laughed through most of it, especially at the parts where the characters turn chibi :) Packed with action, adventure, humor, and romance all set in the beautiful and colorful city of Tokyo, Japan, this movie is almost certain to please any die-hard Teen Titans fan. 10/10 TEEN TITANS, GO!

Codename: Kids Next Door (2002–2008)

Fantastic and well worth watching!
26 September 2006
I watched the first episode of this (no P in the OOL) four years ago when it premiered on Cartoon Network around Christmas time. It didn't really catch my interest then, and we got rid of cable so I never had a chance to watch the rest of the episodes. Years later they switched CN to channel 75 and I miraculously was able to watch it again. By then the show was in it's fourth season or something and still I didn't watch it. Finally, I watched episode M.A.T.A.D.O.R. and immediately loved it. Kids fighting against the evil 'super powers' of adults, how original can you get? I can see why people wouldn't like this, seeing as it's kind of repetitive and the story doesn't really advance much. Nonetheless, compared to the crap that CN now has to offer, this show is absolute genius! The characters are very well thought out and interesting, and the various missions in each episode can be hilarious. I'm a teen and I am not ashamed to watch it because I know a good cartoon when I see it. THIS IS A GOOD CARTOON! Hopefully it'll go on for many years to come. Check it out if you ever get the chance! 10/10

The Hobbit (1977 TV Movie)

Maybe less than half the book, but still good
12 September 2006
My mother was the one who bought this for me when I was younger, but the tape was crappy and the hobbit on the cover sort of frightened me for some odd reason. When I watched it all it did was confuse me because I'd never read the book and I didn't really comprehend what hobbits and Gollum were (old ladies?). It wasn't my favorite movie as a kid. Years later I found my younger sister watching it and, having read the book by then, sat down to watch it.

It's not perfect, it's lacking about half the story, and the characters can be too comical to look at, but the strange thing is, I liked it! The music was pretty good and what little story there is follows along with the book very well. Those who've read the book will scoff and turn their noses up at the very idea of an animated version, but it's really not as bad as they might think. It was created for kids, so don't expect much. If you ever get the time you should check it out just for fun. It's really not all that bad!

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (2003–2005)
8/10
The weirdest show I've ever seen
3 September 2006
I missed the first few episodes of this anime but since there's really no plot to it then I guess it doesn't matter that I did. My 9 year old sister was the one who first told me to watch it, mostly it was out of curiosity, but whatever it was I found myself watching this show for half an hour. By the end I said "wow.....what the hell was that?!"

As I said previously this anime has little or no plot. It's pure randomness, and if there ever is a plot you usually don't catch it because you're either a) laughing too hard or b) trying to figure out what just happened. Basically it's about this guy called Bobobo (im not even gonna try and spell the whole thing) and his companions Beauty, Don Patch, Gasser, Jelly Jiggler, Softon, and sometimes Dengaku Man. I'm not quite sure what they're all trying to accomplish except fighting these Hair-Hunter people who shave everyone's heads. Bobobo's nose hairs turn into whips when the bad guys come around and he uses "Super Fist of the Nose Hair" to beat 'em up. Sometimes he doesn't use this attack until all the way at the end of the fight because he's too busy cross-dressing, beating up Don Patch and Jelly Jiggler, or having some sort of party with the enemy.

Overall this is the most effed up anime I've seen yet, but I'm not saying I hated it. A lot of it was so stupid and random that it was actually funny, though the narrator needs to take a hike cuz 1) his jokes suck and 2) narrators are suppose to fill you in on what's going on, which he practically NEVER does. It's an anime that'll make you laugh, say "wtf" every five minutes, and want to plunge off a cliff all at the same time. If it's ever on watch it and see what you think. I give it an 8/10 because it's so randomly funny :)

Why see it? Because it's good, that's why!
26 August 2006
I really don't see why people don't like this movie. Everyone is, of course, entitled to their own opinions, so I'm sure there are things in this movie that people didn't like. But speaking in my own opinion, I did enjoy this movie a lot. I first saw this film when I purchased the original Japanese dialog version off the internet. The subtitles, I'm afraid, were very crummy, misspelling and mistranslating many of the words, but besides that I followed the storyline pretty well. I have yet to see the English dub, however, and I do hope that it does the original justice.

Fifty years ago, Inuyasha and the priestess Kikyo traveled to an island called Houraijima or Mystic Island. There they met six half-demon (hanyou) children who have four scars on their back which prevented them from leaving the island. It turns out that four demons called the Shitoushin inflicted these scars on the children. In order to keep their powers, the Shitoushin need half-demons to throw into the furnace and absorb their life force. Inuyasha is also inflicted with these scars, and fifty years later he returns to the island along with the whole gang to defeat the four Shitoushin and save the hanyou children.

This film is action-packed with a superb music score and wonderful animation. There's humor here and there, the usual jokes such as Kagome's famous "Sit!" commands and Miroku's usual lechery. Plus we have six new half-demons who are introduced, each with their own unique personalities that we can hate/love. All in all this was a good film that's sure to please any Inuyasha fan, so be sure to watch it if you ever get the chance! (Note: This movie is not an ending to the series and has little or no effect on the series plot, so don't watch it if you're hoping for any answered questions)

Surprisingly good!
23 August 2006
I didn't know what to think as I sat down and watched the premiere of this movie on cartoon network. As soon as it was over though, I knew that this was the best movie based off a TV show that I have seen yet.

Numbuh Zero: was he real or was he a legend? Most of the KND think the latter, but not Numbuh One, who really wants to believe that he was real. He will soon get the chance to find out when Father manages to recommission an even greater evil called Grandfather. Once revived, Grandfather formulates a plan to turn all the KND headquarters in the world into tapioca factories and turn all the operatives into senior citizombies so that they'll work for him. Numbuh One must now call upon the legendary hero to save the Kids Next Door before they're all doomed!

Codename: Kids Next Door is probably the only show on Cartoon Network nowadays that I actually enjoy watching (shows such as Billy and Mandy, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Squirrel Boy, and Ben 10 make me question the creativity of cartoonists these days.) Anyway, I found it to be a great movie, full of action, adventure, humor, and creativity. Watch it if you ever get the chance!
