Reloaded (2021)
im confused
Im rather confused if this is a good movie or a bad movie -- let me explain what i mean, --
the dialogue is very nice, in fact, better than most works from George Tounas Films...but the acting is still bad...cardboard actors and bad delivery lines...in fact there are actors who played more convinient than the klead so i guess the script was written good?...maybe the direction was bad ? Idk..im confused...kudos to the co-writer and the script editor...good effort guys...George acting is also improved but still needs work...idk...good enough i guess.
Jeune et jolie (2013)
surpsiingly good
The French have quite a tradition of films about prostitution. Starting of course by 'Belle de Jour', the iconic movie in which Cathérine Deneuve decides to work in a brothel out of boredom. Ten years ago, there was 'Nathalie', with Emannuelle Béart in the role of a high- class call girl who is hired to spy on a man suspected of adultery. And only two years ago, the underrated 'Elles' hit the screens, with Anaïs Demoustier as a young call girl and Juliette Binoche as a journalist writing a story about prostitution by students. These are just three examples, I'm sure there are more.
Quills (2000)
decent but watchable
Quills is the modernized story of the Marquis de Sade, whose steamy writings whipped France into a sexual fury in the late 18th Century. And by modernized I mean that it has been told through the experiences of a lot of French people who speak English and with British accents. But no matter, I'm willing to accept that everyone in France in 1800 spoke perfect British even if only because of Geoffrey Rush's brilliant performance. With every movie that he comes out with I become more and more convinced that there is nothing he can't do.
The Dreamers (2003)
quality movie
'The Dreamers' is Bernardo Bertolucci's bizarre and fascinating (if not altogether successful) distillation of the radical '60's mentality. Since the film is set in Paris in 1968, the radicalism naturally takes the form of perverted sexuality and extreme cinephilia. Leave it to the French to be exploring l'amour in all its myriad possibilities!
Wolf Creek (2005)
im excited
Writer/producer/director McLean shot this movie on a digital HD handy cam, giving it an amateurish feel - but it is far from amateur. The first 45 minutes feel like a completely different movie than the last hour or so, and that is one of this movie's many strengths. McLean spends time letting the audience get to know the three main protagonists, who are Liz, Kristy, and Ben. They girls, who are both from Britain, are nearing the end of their Australian excursion, and they set off with their new Aussie mate, Ben, on a road trip/backpacking trip across the country.
Irréversible (2002)
nice concept and direction!
It is not an easy movie to watch but as an examination of what people are capable and how violence can come from nowhere and from the unexpected its a masterpiece. The backward structure takes what is essentially a dull revenge story and turns it on its ear as we are forced to really examine how things get out of hand very quickly and what people will do when pushed to the limit.
Love (2015)
im in LOVE with LOVE (see what i did there?)
The script is laughable and the acting (often voice-over), too. The 3D sex is well marketed. And yes, during certain scenes people got up and left. Yet. The film doesn't argue to be anything beyond a meandering stroll into the gallows melancholy. And it does this very very well. The film features no highbrow intellectual conversations but instead, favors the same lines you've probably slung at your lovers. Again and again and again. Just like the sex you've had with your lovers again and again and again. You know their bodies and you know how to please them and above all, you know how to hurt them. Sorrow. There's a resplendent simplicity here that hypnotizes the viewer.
Ghostland (2018)
that was good!
Wow, wow, wow! I've been a horror fan for many years and many people ask me why since the genre is saturated with mediocre and flat out crap films, but I always say that I love it because when you find a good horror it's a true gem better than any other movie you'll find in any other genre and that's exactly what 'Ghostland' is - a freakin' gem!
The Descent (2005)
fairly good
If nightmare inducing horror is not your bag then the less you know about The Descent the better. Geordie writer-director Neil Marshall has delivered an accomplished, well acted, out and out horror movie that comes as much of a pleasant surprise as his first major feature Dog Soldiers did back in 2002. Shot in a mere 7 weeks The Descent sees a sextet of undeniably attractive action women leaping headfirst into an Appalachian potholing adventure that goes wrong so quickly you are left wondering if any one of them will survive, let alone ever see daylight again.
American Mary (2012)
its a mediocre but good film.
American Mary is a sleek and sexy film that is unpredictable and fairly unique. The story is dark, daring and entertaining, and solid production gives it clean and smooth look. It's body modification theme is edgy yet tasteful, and at times quite thought provoking. Katherine Isobelle plays the lead brilliantly; cold and brutal, but at the same time, empowering and elegant.
Trick 'r Treat (2007)
decent watch
For like two years Trick R Treat never seemed to come off the "Upcoming Releases" list. I can't for the life of me see why.
It might not be an all time great, but it is so much better than 20 odd absolute crapfests that were actually fast-tracked into cinemas over the last year to cash in on the current renaissance that horror has been enjoying lately.
À l'intérieur (2007)
wt* was that???
At first I wanted to hate the film and kick myself for buying it but later on I couldn't stop thinking about it, especially about the ending, very few films have had that effect on me, so in the end I thought maybe it was a good film, because I can't even remember the last film that had this particular effect on me, so I'll go ahead and say among all the graphic violence and all the intense moments there was actually a very unique experience.
Malèna (2000)
dreamy
On the face of it, this movie is about a young boy's fantasies as he falls in love with the image of an older woman. I say 'image' because he doesn't know her at all to begin with, but as he watches, her increasingly sad truth is seen through his eyes.
It's also about Sicily during the war, but deeper than that, to me, it seems to be about the mob mind, jealousy and hatred and about how people tend to become what is expected of them, or don't.
Monica Bellucci is undeniably among the sexiest women alive and her near wordless performance is mesmerising. My only criticism is the somewhat stereotypical way that the 'men' are portrayed. Perhaps there's some truth that we are all driven from an area below the waist, but I'd like to think it's not true of all of us.
A Sister's Revenge (2013)
it could be better.
Okay, that's it. Even if it has all the tropes of the genre...perfect housewife...sexpot villain...fair looking yet superficial and sneaky husband...predictable ending...this is a very good nail biter.
Truth or Dare (2017)
great movie but fast ending.
This was a good movie until the ending. I am waiting for a sequel.
The Girl in the Photographs (2015)
it worth your time.
The Girl In The Photographs premiered at the Toronto Film Festival's Midnight Madness and the only way to describe it would be to say that it is epic This was the last movie that notorious Wes Craven produced and the results were masterful. Director Nick Simon did an amazing job on this film.
Mirrors (2008)
one of the best horror films
Maybe it's because I only heard bad things about this film. Practically every review said "disappointing," "skip it," etc.
So I got the DVD not really knowing what to think. I really liked Haute Tension and I like Kiefer Sutherland. Though the trailer made this look like Jack Bauer and Kim stop a mirror terrorist attack.
But once the opening credits started (with that great pre-credit scene), I was hooked.
Never once was I bored, and there were quite a few times I jumped out of my seat.
The Pyramid (2014)
better than what most reviews are saying.
I watched this movie despite its bad reviews because I liked the fact that it is a horror movie in a pyramid and I also quite like movies that have to do with Egyptian history. So after having watched it, I have to say that the one and a half hour I spend doing that was worth it. The pyramid might not be a masterpiece but it is definitely a horror movie worth watching.
The Boy Next Door (2015)
you should check it out
I love Jennifer Lopez and I thought she was terrific in this thriller. The action scenes are great and the movie flows well.
Aftermath (2014)
a great movie
So the nukes have dropped all over the world. The movie focuses on a group who hide in a basement and try to survive. Until the end there is not much more to it then that.
The Circle (2017)
its good
Certenly has potential very good direction and acting!
Stonehearst Asylum (2014)
nice watch!
Had a great time watching this movie. I'm not a fan of 'old time-y' films but this was a good watch. The story was so that it kept my interest as I kept wondering where it was going to go with all this and I felt at one point it would turn out a bit cliché. I was wrong, and never bored getting from one scene to the next. I recommend it but I can't say much more other than I liked the cast (Don't want to spoil it). Great actors/actresses.
Mad World (2018)
One of my top series
Have fun and enjoy it! Don't take it too serious and it will be O.K.
No Easy Days (2018)
I really enjoyed the first series.
It makes you think about the political side of things as well.
Scare Attraction (2019)
Admirable
Scare Attraction is the latest film from Director Steven M. Smith. The film revolves around a pair of reality TV Stars who attend a Halloween scare attraction. Reminiscent of Saw and Escape Room,Scare Attraction has a little wink and nod to these two classics but without any of the substance beyond that. The film is worth a watch.
