Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020)
Loved it
So Ma Rainy is my new favourite character. As a woman, I thought wow. I Wish I could stand up for myself like that. She's inspirational for me. Really enjoyed how committed Viola Davis was to the role.
I usually like action or a lot going on which this film doesn't have but I stayed glued to this film from start to finish. Levee, Chadwick Boseman's character was captivating. So intense and I felt every word he said. Powerful film over all.
Waves (2019)
Life
Not one wave is the same. Not one life is the same.
We Are Who We Are (2020)
Real life
I loved everything about this series. I loved how not everything is explained. I loved the different sides shown of all the characters, as well as the ones that are not shown. That's life, we don't always know wtf is going on so we? I wanted it to just keep going past the 8th episode. Such a real feel. I miss being young. Xoxo
The Forty-Year-Old Version (2020)
Every woman's rap
Radha's "this is forty" rap was about my life! Loved this film! Magical. I'm sure more creative artists can relate to this than one would think.comforted me.
Antebellum (2020)
A film about modern day slavery
A great example of why Karma is my God. And all Black People demanding for is equality. Great film
Residue (2020)
