Does this even count?

Of all the Jason sequels this one is probably the worst. I won't ruin the ending for you but it's just so silly that you could probably just skip this one and it wouldn't matter very much. I don't know what the writers were thinking with one but it's just stupid.

Not sure why this is rated lower.
21 April 2022
I'm not sure why this is rated lower than part 2 and part 3, out all the sequels (before and after) this is probably the best one. The cast is great, the kills are fantastic, but more importantly than that the story is a bit more layered with more elements playing than just a bunch of kids who die camping. If you're going to watch one Jason movie (besides the first) make it this one.

Great sequel.

Here was Jason killing people for the first time. He doesn't have the iconic hockey mask yet (that would come in part 3) but the basic recipe that was used for all the sequels pretty much starts here. The line between Jason being real and supernatural is always blurred. Amy Steel plays maybe the best final girl of the entire series.

Pretty much perfect

Yes you could point flaws in this movie but for historical importance alone this is one of the best horror movies out there. Kids camping getting off one by one, it doesn't get much better than this. Of course the killer isn't who we think it is (that doesn't come until later) but still a horror classic you can watch over and over.

Great movie
20 April 2022
This is the movie that pretty much reinvenented horror in the 90's. Hip, great comedy, scares, and a lot of easter eggs for horror fans to uncover. The sequels are aright (some of them) but none of them hold a candle to the original here. It's fun to watch over and over and catch the references you missed the first time. If you don't know the ending, avoid all spoilers!!

One of the best.
20 April 2022
Definitely one of the best episodes from the series. Seeing Tim Curry play all those roles was worth the price of admission alone. The story is good too with a lot of comedy thrown around. This would actually be a pretty good episode to show someone who was just getting into the series. If they like this, chances are they'll be a fan.

Average tale.
20 April 2022
This episode is good but is mostly just an excuse to see a lot of actors aged in makeup. It's not really too scary but the ending does have a bit of bite. I wouldn't have ended this season with this episode but what's done is done. I think if was wedged somewhere in the middle of the season it wouldn't be under as much scrutiny.

aka James Bond
20 April 2022
To truly get this episode you have to realize the lead Timothy Dalton was our James Bond at the time. So this episode sort of plays out like a horror version of a James Bond movie. It's pretty tongue in cheek and never gets too dark or serious but it's a good time very much like an Agatha Christie mystery.

Reminds you of another episode but still good

This is a lot like the episode in season 2 with the ventriloquist dummy but this time it ends in a much different way. Even if you manage to guess one twist, I"m sure you won't guess the second. Probably gruesome, this is what Tales from the Crypt is all about.

One of my favs
15 April 2022
Maybe it's just because I'm a big fan of Joe Pesci but this is one of my favorite episodes of TFTC. There's a lightness to it that keeps the action flowing at a pretty fast pace. No dark and stormy night, this all takes place in the bright day but it still manages to deliver a classic grotesque style ending.

I really liked the closed in environment on this one, it kept everything pretty tight and suspenseful. It wasn't particularly mind blowing but it was one of the more fun episodes to happen in a while. Great cast having a great time with the material. What more do you want?

Alright
15 April 2022
It was interesting to see an early performance by Brad Pitt but it didn't blow me away. This was another non-horror episode so don't expect anything too gothic or chilling but given that it was an okay story to waste a few 30 minutes of your life on.

Not a huge fan
13 April 2022
While I wouldn't say this episode is bad or anything like that, I also didn't find it very good either. Even beyond the fact that it's a non-horror episode the story just wasn't that engaging. There are some cool moments though so it's definitely worth a watch to see if it connects with you more than it did me.

Creepy
13 April 2022
This is definitely a creepy episode especially when they get into the house. Lots of suspense and just plain weirdness. You know something is wrong with the house but you're just not sure what. Solid turns of acting all around too. Definitely worth watching.

Often called the best.
13 April 2022
This episode is often rated as the best the series ever did. I don't know if I'd go that far but it definitely deserve to be listed in the upper echelon. It isn't anything that we haven't necessarily seen before but it's just done with such finesse that it's always a pleasure to watch.

Great one.
13 April 2022
This one reminds me a little bit of a female version of the one with Jon Lovitz. Lots of fun acting and an overall crazy story puts this one ahead of most of the other episodes. Bad people getting their just desserts is one of the things that makes this series so good and this episode doesn't disappoint.

Not my favorite episode but once again I can understand why people do like this one. I don't know just something about it just didn't really stick to me. Cathy Moriarty was great and she always is good in anything she does but besides that I find it to be average at best.

Big Budget
13 April 2022
I'm not sure of the exact numbers but this seems like a much more expensive episode compared to a alot of other ones in the series. The sets and look of it all just feel wider. Great episode all in all, with some really nasty tattoo stuff going on. If you are thinking about getting ink this episode may convince you not too.

Average
13 April 2022
Maybe even slightly below average considering the caliber most of these TFTC episodes are. Acting is pretty good from everyone, the problem lies more in the slow moving screenplay that takes it's time getting to the end and doesn't really give us a lot of fun to play with on it's way there.

Great episode.
13 April 2022
Definitely one of the better episodes of the series. Tom Hanks directs and he shows us that he can handle darker humor like the best of them when given the chance. It's too bad he didn't do more projects like this and The Burbs. Nothing really new here, just executed well!

One of the masterpiece episodes
11 April 2022
This episode stands apart from the rest of the series in the way that it's a little less gothic and more rooted in reality. With that being said the twist is worthwhile and the setup to get there is perfectly crafted. It's a step up in terms of class compared to most of the other episodes in this series.

I like this one a lot.
11 April 2022
Some reviews are more mixed on this one but I find it really enjoyable and fun. It just has a light-hearted deranged vibe that I think suits this show perfectly. Sometimes doing episodes with bright colors in the daytime is a good change of pace from the cemeteries and graveyards.

Not a great one
11 April 2022
I could understand why some people would love this episode, it just wasn't my cup of tea. It's a little long in the tooth with it's style. It does sort of pick up near the end but the twist seems like a hard one to believe. I don't know just something about this episode doesn't sit right.

This is definitely one of the better remembered episodes of the series. The voice over narrative by Michelle Johnson works perfectly and it's a great tale in the fact every character is a little amoral which is really what Tales from the Crypt is all about.

Underrated
7 April 2022
You don't often see this episode being talked about as being one of the best TFTC episodes but I really think it is. A great sense of foreboding mystery lingers over the whole thing and the twist is a true knockout. I actually picture this working as a full length movie but as it stands here, it's wickedly fun.
